How to get to Kamran airport from Nha Trang. How to get and how long to go from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang: distance. Bus transportation is carried out by several companies, for example

How to get to Nha Trang? How much does a hotel room cost? Is it true that everyone here understands Russian? What to see in a week and where to go diving? These questions are of interest to many tourists who are going to this popular seaside resort in Vietnam for the first time.

Nha Trang- the most beloved seaside resort in Vietnam by Russians. Vacationers from Russia come to this “little Moscow” on the South China Sea to enjoy fruits and seafood, massage and mud baths, and somersault on rides in the largest Vietnamese amusement park.

Nha Trang was prestigious a resort in the days of the emperors. Now residents of the Vietnamese capital like to relax in Nha Trang, and most of the foreigners here are Russians.

Over the last few Over the years, a whole industry has grown up in the city, designed for tourists from Russia. There are two Russian-language information centers, the Moscow massage parlor, the Gorky Park restaurant and several other catering establishments where you will even be served Olivier, but you won’t guess what the Vietnamese put in it instead of potatoes. Even in pharmacies, instructions for the medicinal ointments popular among Russians have been translated into the language of Pushkin.

Now, however, newcomers from Russia decreased - affected by the crisis and the growth of the dollar, which also affected the rate of the Vietnamese dong. If in October 2014 it was necessary to pay 200 rubles for 100 thousand dongs, then in March 2017 - almost 270.

Ocher beach which stretches for 7 km, not as picturesque as, for example, in Da Nang, but rather clean, separated from roads and hotels by a promenade with palm trees and flower beds.

Packing a suitcase take clothes with inside pockets to the resort. Cases of robbery on the street do happen from time to time - they can pull a bag off the shoulder or cut the straps of a wardrobe trunk with equipment, but, it seems, not at all as often as, for example, in Barcelona. In general, the residents of the city are friendly, the sellers are unobtrusive, and the waiters are quite quick-witted.

When to go

Although the best time in Nha Trang it is considered January-August, the tourist season here is all year round. In October-November, however, it rains - the water happens to be pouring in a wall, but usually not for long and at night. On the plus side, the city is surrounded by mountains, which are believed to protect it from violent hurricanes.

The sea is warm (26-27 degrees), it is comfortable to enter the water - there is no difference in air and water temperatures. Some jellyfish can cause burns, but they go away quickly.

Big waves- from the end of September to the end of January. If swimming is dangerous, a red flag is posted on the beaches, if allowed - a white one. Yellow and red flags mark areas where you can swim under the supervision of lifeguards.

Panama is required: the sun bakes strongly, it is not always possible to hide from it. If you don't like Panama hats, buy a non-traditional Vietnamese triangular reed hat at the market or bring your favorite hat with you.

From noodles to carousel

At Vinpearl,a kind of Disneyland on the small green island of Hon Tre, some come and two or three times for a vacation - like it. Here is the largest oceanarium in Vietnam (its highlight is a 90 m long glass tunnel, through which visitors ride a travolator with fish and turtles swimming above them), a water park, an amusement park, and a dolphinarium (closed on Monday), and fountain show (from 19:30 to 20.00), and a whole pool of cafes and restaurants, from which Grigory Leps' songs are poured every now and then. And don't forget the Alpine Coaster (downhill Vinpearl in a sleigh on rails) - the attraction is a little far from the main entertainment.

Vinpearl was opened in 2007 and occupies 170 thousand square meters. m. In the past, there was a prison on the island. And turned this place into a paradise for vacationers Vietnamese dollar billionaire Pham Nyat Vuong, 47. He knows the tastes of Russians - he studied in Moscow and got rich making instant noodles in Ukraine. In 2010, he sold his company to Nestle for $ 150 million and focused on business in his home country.

However, if you are not an amateur attractions and other entertainment, Vinpearl is unlikely to suit you - the place is noisy (on average there are 10 thousand visitors a day), there are free sun loungers on the narrow beach only in the morning (but there are no waves), there is no wildlife in sight - the park and five-star hotels occupy a significant part of the island.

The park is open from 9 am to 10 pm.

Wrestle with the turtle

Hon Mun Island, translated as "black island"- this is one of the most popular places for those who like scuba diving or its lighter version - snorkeling (swimming with a mask and fins). It was named black because of the color of the rocks. Near Hon Mun there are warm sea currents from the equator, and in such conditions, corals and their inhabitants grow well. From Nha Trang to the island by boat - about 45 minutes (20 km), photography lovers will be satisfied - the way goes by the picturesque islands. The trip is worth $ 20-60 per person, depending on the size of the group.

You swim like in a giant aquarium: next to you are seahorses, blowfish, clown fish, surgeon fish, scorpion fish and large crustaceans - lobsters... You can even collide head-on with a turtle. But be careful - even diving can get severely burned.

On the way back the boat passes by a picturesque fishing village - on pontoons there are several shacks surrounded by colorful junks - Vietnamese boats. Lunch at a restaurant on the water will cost from 250 thousand dongs (670 rubles), fish and other marine life will be caught for you directly from the cages.

Buddha and the huckster

To Long Sean Pagoda(Long Son, "Flying dragon") it is better to go in the evening, when there are few tourists and you can safely walk around the temple complex. The temple was originally built in 1886 in a different location, not far from the train station. WITH a great storm in 1900 destroyed a tall pagoda and what was left of the temple was moved on the its current place on grief. The temple is decorated with beautiful glass mosaics andceramic tiles.Inside the temple is a 1.6 m high bronze Buddha.

On the peaks by the mountainlead 152 steps guarded by 7-meter dragons. Locals believe that everyone who climbs this ladder can be cleansed of their sins.

Don't miss the trail to the huge sleeping Buddha - she is somewhere at the 45th level. Then go higher - there will be another Buddha, this time sitting on a lotus flower. From the ground to its crown - 24 m. Impressive!

When approaching the pagodayou may be offered incense sticks - they are simply put into everyone's hands every day. But as soon as you put them in a bowl and light them, they will start extorting 100 thousand dongs (270 rubles) from you - fifty times more than their average price. Do not pay, in the temples everything is on a voluntary basis. They also try to cheat by offering tickets, although the entrance is free. Here can be taken by bus No. 1, 2 and 6 or walk - from incense towers (Russians call it"Lotus") on the embankment to the templeabout half an hour walk. The entrance is open from 8:00 to 20:00.

Towers of the goddess Ponagar

Another place of power- Ponagar Cham Towers ( Po Nagar Cham Towers ) on Mount Kulao. V VII-X seven or eight towers were built here. Now there are four of them. The tallest, 27-meter north tower (Thap Chinh) built in 817, is dedicated to the goddess Ponagar, who taught people to grow rice and weave.

All temples are facing the front facade to the east. The territory of the complex is small, surrounded by greenery, there are toilets, a cafe, in front of the entrance there are rows with souvenirs.

Thap Ba Festival(Thap Ba), which takes place here annually on March 21-23 according to the lunar calendar (late April-early May), is the largest religious festival in the region. Hundreds of representatives of the Cham, a small nation, whose ancestors built these temples, come from all over the country. First, there is a ceremony of changing clothes for the statue of the goddess. One of the most spectacular events of the festival is the performances of folk dancers and singers, and the rowing competition is also fun.

Ponagar will not be allowed in clothes that do not cover the knees and shoulders, long gray robes can be borrowed free of charge at the entrance. And do not forget to leave your shoes in front of the entrance - these are active temples. You can get to the Po Nagar Towers from Nha Trang by bus # 4, taxi or walk. A ticket costs 21 thousand dongs, or 55 rubles. The complex is open from 6.00 to 18.00.

Baths and SPA

For lovers of mud therapy Several resorts have been built in Nha Trang - Thap Ba, 100 Egg Mud Bath, I-resort, etc. The set of procedures is approximately the same for all - mud and mineral baths, jacuzzi, Sharko shower, massage, pools and waterfalls. Everywhere there are cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. All these resorts can be reached by taxi or transfer from the hotel.

Although each mud baths have their pros and cons, the most popular (and the oldest) is Thap Ba. It seems to have the warmest pools and the thickest mud. Vacationers also like the fact that the baths are made in the form of wooden tubs, they are designed for two people.

100 Eggs (100 eggs) the most beautiful landscape, and the baths are made in the form of eggs. There is an eco-park with deer, monkeys and peacocks next to the mud baths - some come for this. The observation deck offers beautiful views of Nha Trang.

At the I-resortbeautiful too territory, good organization of recreation.

Prices in all mud baths depend on the set of procedures and the number of people in the group. On average, you need to cook 1200-1500 rubles plus money for lunch and a taxi. Relaxation in VIP - the case will cost from 5 thousand rubles.

Mud therapy is a serious procedure, there are contraindications, for example, hypertension, heart disease, gynecological diseases. It is better to ask your doctor in advance if you are allowed such baths. In any case, do not lie in them for more than 15 minutes.

And take care of your swimsuit- the dirt quickly corrodes the fabric, so it is better to use those that are issued in the mud baths.

The closest airport to Nha Trang is Cam Ranh International Airport, which has the official abbreviation CXR. It is located 50 km from Nha Trang.

If you arrive at Cam Ranh airport with international airlines (that is, you have a direct flight to Vietnam), then you will be taken to the international terminal. This is a brand new building, quite nice and spacious. There you can order a taxi in English or Russian. But getting from the airport to Nha Trang can be cheaper, for only 50,000 vnd. To do this, it is enough to leave the airport and look for a girl with such a sign. We buy tickets from her and wait for bus number 18 right there at the exit from the airport.

Tickets are sold for Vietnamese dong only. There are ATMs and exchange offices at the airport.

If you arrive at Cam Ranh airport by domestic airlines, then as soon as you pick up your luggage, you will see a yellow counter and Vietnamese girls cheerfully offering to buy bus tickets from the airport to Nha Trang. Good news: the ticket costs only 50,000 VND. 1.5 years ago it cost 70,000 dong. It's nice when prices fall :) Buy a ticket and go to the exit from the airport. At the exit, show the purchased ticket and you are put on the bus. Sometimes the counters are removed and tickets (as in the case of the international terminal) are sold at the exit from the airport.

Buses are new comfortable minibuses of bright yellow color, or buses No. 18 of white color. There is no difference for you :) The buses are standing right at the exit, it is impossible not to notice them. Sending as soon as the minibus will fill up with people (each time we waited no more than 5-10 minutes). The driver does not drive, the journey takes 45 minutes.

Passengers are transported directly to hotels. So write down the name of your hotel somewhere and show it to the driver. When the transfer arrives at your hotel, you will be warned.

Now tell me, why go by taxi, if you can get from the airport to the center by a good bus for such little money? All suitcases will fit in the luggage compartment, no need to haggle with a taxi driver and be afraid that he will take you to the wrong place. Everything is cultural and cheap. I don’t know which is even better.

From Nha Trang to Cam Ranh Airport

You can get there and back by bus # 18 (Important: buses run only from 5:30 in the morning.

Useful for travelers

If you are planning a trip (to Nha Trang or wherever):

Cam Ranh International Airport is located 40-33 kilometers from Nha Trang. By taxi from Nha Trang to Cam Ranh airport, the journey takes from 40 minutes without interruption. If you go to the airport at a time when there may be traffic jams (and in Vietnam this phenomenon is not uncommon), then it is better to lay at least one to one and a half hours on the road by car.

Transfer from Nyananka to Cam Ranh

We needed to get to the early morning flight Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam Airlines, which started at 6-45. Since it was planned to leave the hotel at 4-30 in the morning, it was clear that catching a taxi, which is a dime a dozen in Nha Trang in the daytime, might not work out quickly. Getting there on time for the flight is an important task, therefore, we decided to take care of the transfer to the airport in advance. At the counter of the five-star Sun Rise hotel, where we lived, the price was announced at 720,000 dongs (34 USD). Now, having an understanding of the price level, some benchmarks have appeared.
On the same day, the eve of departure, we went to the entertainment island Vinpearl, having got into the first taxi that stood at the hotel in five minutes we agreed with the driver about the transfer.

We agreed immediately to the first amount announced by the driver of 350,000 dongs (16 USD). They did not bargain, taking into account that the price was 2 times different from the price offered at the hotel. They also accepted the amount without bargaining and for the reason that they had already agreed with taxi drivers in Vietnam for travel at a fixed price. And despite the fact that Vietnam is Asia in which it is accepted and necessary to bargain, but it was not possible to bargain more than 5-10% from taxi drivers even once. In this case, the game was not worth the candle. But for those who want to save more, it might be possible to bargain some more amount.

There was not much intrigue left in terms of “what if he didn’t come”, but in this case there was a backup firefighter option to try to catch a taxi on the street or call through a dispatcher (local SIM card and taxi number were available). The branded business card of the taxi company handed over to us with the driver's personal mobile phone removed the small doubts that had crept in and we shook hands.
The driver did not disappoint and was there at exactly the agreed time. A bonus to the trip was that our driver spoke a little Russian, since he worked in Russia in the 90s and he decided to please us by turning on the concert of Tender May on the multimedia system !!))) Probably due to the fact that the events were extremely early in the morning, Affectionate May turned out to be, as the people say, "not into the horse feed" and we refused to listen.))

A separate post will be written about the Russian-speaking Vietnamese on this trip.
Taking into account the early time and the complete absence of traffic jams, we drove from the hotel on the first line of Nha Trang in 40 minutes. On the taxi meter, which worked all the time, there were 620,000 debts and this is the amount that would have to be paid if you went by taxi without prior agreement.

Regular flights from Russia to Vietnam land either in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. One of the alternative ways to get to the beaches of Nha Trang is just through the capital Hanoi.

We recommend this route to those who have not yet visited, and also have not seen the magnificent Vietnamese nature, which can be contemplated for a long time from the train compartment window. Well, if you travel everywhere by plane, we recommend it all the more.

Railway station in Hanoi

We used Vietnamese railways twice. we loved it when we were driving from to Nha Trang. But from Nha Trang to Hanoi - there was already a test for us. The SE6 class resembled the comfort of the most neglected Moscow-Bishkek train. But remember that you are on a journey and take any experience calmly and with humor.

Developed infrastructure, clean beaches, many resort areas and fairly affordable prices are the main advantages over other tourist cities. If you decide to get to Nha Trang, then it is worth planning your trip in advance.
