The village of Primorsky, today, is considered one of the largest on the peninsula, with a population of 15,000 people. Previously, this entire territory was called Khafuz, and there was also a Tatar settlement with the same name. Before the revolution, he had a Russian name - Dalnie Kamyshi. Subsequently, there was a union with the village of Khafuz. Not far from the village of Dalnie Kamyshi, a kardon border outpost was erected. During the civil war, after the defeat of Baron Wrangel in 1920, the outpost was destroyed. In its place, local residents grazed their livestock for another decade. In Dalniye Kamyshi, in early 1930, the Soviet government organized a collective farm "January 9", and a large livestock complex was built on the site of the outpost.
In 1938, not far from the villages of Dalnie Kamyshi and Khafuz, a shipyard began to be built, as well as a torpedo-sighting station. A little later, a small village was built for the builders and workers of these enterprises, which was given the name Yuzhnaya Tochka. After the start of the Great Patriotic War, the construction of the plant was stopped, all the plant equipment was dismantled and, together with all the workers, were evacuated into the interior of the country. During the period of the German occupation, all the factory buildings were completely destroyed. The Red Army soldiers liberated the village of Dalnie Kamyshi only in mid-April 1944, and already at the end of the same month, an active restoration of the plant from the ruins began. Today this shipyard is called the Feodosiya PO "Sea". He is engaged in the production of marine vessels for various border services (hovercraft and hydrofoils, as well as high-speed planing boats). In the 50s, an active renaming of many villages in the Crimea began. In May 1952, the village of Yuzhnaya Tochka was united with the village of Khafuz, and then Dalnie Kamyshi was added to them. This settlement becomes an urban-type settlement and receives its new name - Primorsky settlement.
Many researchers believe that the Tatar toponym Hafuz comes from the Arabic-Turkic "Hafiz", which means "knowing the Koran by heart." In other words, this is a respected Muslim who was ranked among the clergy, due to the fact that he knows the texts of the entire Koran by heart.
All this, of course, is correct, only they do not take into account that in addition to this, Khafuz is the oldest Karaite family. This surname was widely known throughout all of Tsarist Russia, as well as on the territory of the Crimean Khanate and in the Ottoman Empire. Hafuz has the same meaning in both Karaite and Tatar languages. In the entire territory of Hafuz, no enlightened Muslims have ever met. Until the 20th century there was only a shop and a tavern. It was then called by the locals “U Hafuz”. And the village and adjacent territories were in the possession of the Karaim Khafuz. From his surname, the present name of the village originated. About ten descendants of this ancient family still bear this surname. All live mainly in the city of Feodosia. The rest have left or changed their family name, they try not to mention their roots. At the moment, Primorsky is a successfully growing resort, which regularly attracts a large number of tourists.

The history of the village
At first, on the site of modern Primorskoe, there was the village of Dalnie Kamyshi. It was first mentioned at the beginning of the nineteenth century. Then, in the period of five-year plans and mass industrialization, a shipyard was founded near it. The scale of this production has gradually expanded. New housing was required for workers, engineers and other personnel. It was built next to Kamyshi. Gradually, a new microdistrict arose, which became the center of a new village - Primorsky, and the village became part of it.
With the collapse of the USSR, the plant reduced its production capacity, and Primorsky became a place of recreation and tourism.
