Not so long ago we rode on a raft along the Desna River, and now the wind of adventure is carrying us south! We are waiting for how it sounds in the old slang "cardinal bottoms" and fishing in Kherson!
We go to Kherson, and from there, at the invitation of our comrades, on a wonderful yacht we go downstream, to the legendary Dnieper delta, followed by an exit to the Black Sea!
This is an experience for us! To my great surprise, I have to admit that for half a century of fishing experience, I have never visited these places ... Volodya once was here as a reporter for a sport fishing competition, but that was a long time ago and he did not have any useful data from there ...
Whom to catch? How to catch? Where to fish? What to catch? What bait to use ?! We discussed all these issues on the way. Along the way, a script was even dictated, which is not very typical for us, fans of a frank stand-up. According to the scenario, we had to first catch crucian carp on the feeder, then steal naval gobies, and then look for perches and at the very end, if there is time and desire, to catch the famous local chernukha - rudd on the float ... Vladimir felt like Bonaparte at the beginning of Borodinsky battles, and your humble servant, as usual, was somewhat complex, and what if something goes wrong ... In general, we have a kind of duet of antipodes. Always cheerful and optimistic fellow Zhuravlev and, on the contrary, the harmful and always muttering old man Old ...
However, surprisingly, everything went like clockwork, and now we are on the Kherson embankment, where our new friends - the captain of the yacht Alexander and his assistant Ivan, meet us. Fast loading of things and equipment and off you go! We have to walk about 50 miles on the water.
We're driving indescribably beautiful places... Well, from a height, the view is generally just awesome!
Our yacht is sailing steadily, captain Sasha is confidently heading to the fishing spot for crucian carp.
We have to go for about an hour. The main fishing specialist is Ivan.
Along the way, he talks about the peculiarities of fishing for the local crucian carp, other white fish, and a little about the predator. Everything seems to be simple, nothing special, we are used to this.
We get to the point. We make an easy starter feed, throw in our tackle. Assorted nozzles. We are waiting, to use Volodya’s favorite phrase, what’s going to bite at us ?! We sit, wait, change all sorts of combinations of baits - and not a fig, doesn’t bite!
Doesn't bite at all, that is, absolutely! Evaa ... This is such an "old Indian beginning" ... In seemingly, in this educational - sports reservoir, one should peck always, everywhere and at everything ... But then we recall the second rule with his wonderful phrase: “but today, I will not bite at you, because I don’t want to”! And that's it! It is not possible to explain or find any logic in this, and because, in order not to waste time, we decided to go straight to a distant cordon, into the open sea, and start from where they were supposed to finish, and then we will see.
We have to go far. There won't be enough light time. But thanks to the modern means of navigation, which our vessel is equipped with, we move perfectly at night!
Moreover, at the stern, we are in the process of preparing a barbecue, and on the cockpit a hefty clearing is covered with all sorts of attractants and other edible products!
You walk on the water and along with you, along the way, the continuation of the banquet takes place! Above us is a wonderful starry night and you feel like Johnny Depom at the end of the world! Romance!

Dawn! Of course, here it would be necessary to write that it was somehow exotic or romantic, but we woke up from a banal thirst, although in this case it would be more suitable folk name"Dry land". The sea was calm.
The airport is located a hundred meters away from us. On the water smoothly and gracefully taxiing like "Boeing" two hefty pelicans swam ...
Seagulls circled around us like small airplanes, and black cormorants looked like naval fighters of the "Hari-er" type. The picture was supplemented by an unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. It was our operator who finally woke up and lifted his beloved quadcopter into the sky!
After taking a special therapeutic attractant, surrounded by such a wonderful company, we felt like an aircraft carrier! Already in the morning it became clear that the day would be hot. However, the landing from the side of the yacht into the life-giving naval moisture brought the entire crew to their senses! We realized that we were alive and started fishing. Fortunately, the reserves of beer were practically unlimited.
We will catch gobies!
Without further ado! Catching gobies is easy! The feeder or any spinning rod adjusts to the simplest bottom with two hooks and descends overboard into a plumb line. The goby can also be successfully caught on ultra light silicone.
Then bites will be less frequent, but the goby comes across much larger. When catching a goby, the main thing is not to overdo it, and not to catch too much of it. Everyone understood this, since everyone would have to clean it too! Therefore, the rate of fishing was, so to speak, ragged, and the heat began to affect from seven o'clock in the morning. The process of catching gobies as a whole quickly got tired of it and having caught enough of it, how to eat the amount for one meal, we decided to slowly go back to the floodplains, where a hunt for some predator was planned - who would bite.
The draft of our vessel makes it impossible to pass through shallow water. And so we become not a raid, but for fishing we transfer to motor boat partners of our comrades who live nearby.
We're going to the floodplain. I never thought that the floodplain, like another swamp, might surprise me. We are sailing right in the midst of a field of white lilies. This is an unearthly beauty!
I don't even want to catch. I just want to admire nature. We stand on the edge of this living carpet, in front of us there is a small clean channel and a coastal wall of reeds. This is where our baits are sent.
We use ultralight fishing! If the famous Ostap Bender played chess for the second time in his life, then Semyon Old fished with ultra light for the third time! Moreover, all his ultralight voyages took place abroad, while fishing for local exotics. But the experience of Volodya Zhuravlev in this case is much greater - already ten times Vladimir went on a similar fishing! That is, in this type of fishing, my friend and I are like fuckers ...
Seriously though, I have never experienced much pleasure from this type of fishing, primarily because of the small size of the fish. My light "travel" - spinning rod, barely begged from his wife who quietly privatized it, after a trolling catfish rod, to put it mildly, is quite unusual ...
But what to do, these are the conditions here! From the bait, we had our budgetary domestic silicone "Toirtap " , acquired on the occasion at the last moment, and a few other lures from Zhuravlev's past ultralight fishing trips.
The impression was that the fish just want to gobble up not only "Toirtap " , but also us with him! Huge perches pecked what is called "zakid"! Sharp bites almost knocked the rods out of the hands of the rod, and the legs almost flew out of the crocs! We obviously did not expect such a turn of events. The perches were clearly not ultralight size.
They tied our rods like bagels in an egg! Tore the silicone apart. Several bites followed in one wiring ... There were even such specimens that it was scary to lift them without a net! Out of fear, my friend christened them Kherson basses, however, this is a really appropriate name for this occasion! Our hands were trembling, our voices were confused and comments on the camera, it is possible, will have to be cleaned of emotional non-normative vocabulary!
The perch hurricane swept by as unexpectedly as it began. The concert lasted about half an hour, after which the nibble began to weaken. The fat point in this perch rodeo was put by Volodya, having caught a "big fish" of a kilogram size!
The quantity and main quality of the fish caught was impressive! It was possible to safely go home, or rather to our ship, but you can't get away from such a high so abruptly ... As if by inertia we still ride. And then it went to the exotic! Our "Toirtap “First the black chernukha and silver bream were tempted, and then the very exotic sunny perch, the fish are beautiful and, by the way, very tasty.
Although there are numerous disputes about its usefulness. But the fact remains - the sun perch has bred and feels great in the southern regions of our country.
We are aboard our ship again! It's hot around, and we are drinking cool drinks from the refrigerator! We sunbathe. We go through water procedures. Some just like that, and some really. It turns out that you can catch crayfish here. Straight with your hands! What we are doing with success! A cool bonus for an evening dessert in the form of boiled crayfish - it was strong!
