Sky Food Services is a very young company. It has been working for a little over a year, but it is already actively cooperating with the national air carrier of Ukraine -.

But it was the first aircraft ever built by the Boeing Corporation, taking into account the wishes of the airline. The name of the aircraft was chosen through a competition in which only children under 14 years old could participate. The prize for the winner is a trip to Disneyland in France. It was this board that was chosen by the Vatican to ensure the visit of Pope John Paul II to Ukraine. Together with the cardinals of the Vatican, accompanying persons and journalists, he visited our country in 2001.

4. Finally, after putting on dressing gowns and shoe covers, filling out sanitary sheets and disinfecting our hands, we find ourselves in the workshop, where they prepare the very food for passengers and pilots.

5. Cleanliness is simply cosmic! Aviation is a very responsible area. Everything is done strictly according to the recipe, there are clear instructions and norms for any actions of the chefs.

10. The summer menu will consist of 108 different items. This includes light snacks, fresh salads, a variety of hot dishes and delicious desserts.

Moreover, such an application is formed based on the orders of economy class passengers, and the initially included food in business class. The onboard catering workshop prepares all meals with some extra. On average, make 27-28 servings for 25 servings. Immediately before the flight itself, an adjustment is received - according to the passengers who have registered for it.

Unsold portions are not returned to the shop - they are disposed of.

21. Finished medallions are placed in a chiller and quickly cooled to a temperature of 2-5 degrees. In general, shock chilling is used in the production of many dishes in the workshop. The next step in creating a dish is its packaging.

Sky Food Services does not use preservatives or GMOs in production. In summer, priority is given to the use of local, local products. At the same time, suppliers are checked in the most thorough way.

Pickles and pickled vegetables are not purchased, but produced by the company itself.

To order food, click on the cell with the intersection of the student's name and date (order is available only in the green sector). Select a complex and click the "Order" button.

If you have installed a template complex for students, then you can use the following function to quickly order food for 1 or 2 weeks. Under the nutrition sheet, in the "Plan meals by template" field, select for the next week or for the 2nd week

Food confirmation is possible only for the current or last day, to do this, click on the cell and click the "Confirm" button, if the student did not eat on that day and the order was made, click the "Did not eat" button.

In order to quickly confirm meals for the whole day, click on the cell with the date and confirm, then you can indicate those who did not eat.

Aeroflot-controlled airline Russia also feeds Ukrainian passengers on the St. Petersburg-Kiev flight with sandwiches, more precisely, filled croissants.


Free meals in Economy Class were provided on all medium-haul Ukraine International Airlines flights until spring 2014. The only exceptions were domestic flights - here passengers could get only a glass of water and a hot drink for free, there was no food even for a fee.

Now, UIA passengers on international medium-haul flights can prepare lunch on their own from the offered dishes before departure or choose ready-made food complexes consisting of several dishes - this option is cheaper than choosing meals separately. Meals must be ordered no later than 36 hours before departure. For paying for the service, UIA credits miles to the Panorama Club loyalty program.

Each set of paid meals is provided to passengers at the very beginning of the service. Food is placed on ceramic dishes and supplied with metal utensils and a wet napkin.

Ukrainian lunch - 7 euros

The main course consists of a banosh, which includes corn porridge and bacon. Very salty. Lunch includes a rye flour bun, butter, tomato salad with spicy sauce, poppy seed pie. The lunch is hearty, but I do not recommend ordering it because of the strong salinity of the main dish.

The main dish of this meal on flights from Ukraine consists of beef chop, boiled rice, underneath is a vegetable stew made from zucchini, eggplant and pepper. Served with a wheat bun with butter, balyk, pickled cucumber and pickled champignon.

One of the best sets of UIA's paid menu to taste and has, perhaps, one of the best value for money. The only thing that spoils the impression is the dessert. Strawberry cake has a strong flavor.

The main dish in an Italian lunch is carbonara pasta (noodles with bacon). Very greasy and salty. The sight of a dried orange slice on the dessert spoils the impression, but tiramisu is very tasty to taste. I would not recommend ordering this lunch for passengers who do not like very salty foods.

This type of in-flight meal consists of a main course, Caesar salad served with sauce and a roll. The main course consists of rice, a stew of an apple slice, cherry sauce and a few slices of duck breast. The portions are very large and hearty, the salad is delicious, the rice is not dry.

However, a serious disadvantage of this food set is the type of duck meat. It has many veins, an uncleaned skin with fat, which is why most of the meat went to the trash bag taken from the pocket in front of the chair. I had previously ordered a duck breast dish on an airberlin flight - then the meat was perfectly cooked and very soft with no fat.

Previously, this type of food was called "sea food" and was served as a special food. The main course consists of pitted hake fillets sprinkled with nuts and a side dish of white and wild rice.

Served with rye bun, butter, salad of tomato, cucumber and pepper slices, seasoned with French sauce. For dessert, there is an apple pie.

Everything is edible, but without the wow effect, like with a continental lunch. For a change, you can order.

The main course consists of lasagna and stewed peppers and is complemented by a salad of tomato, mozzarella and rucolla. This type of lunch can not be called satisfying: a small piece of lasagna, and the main component of the salad is greens, mostly bitter rucolla. Dessert is missing.

Although this type of food is positioned as a food for children, adults can also order it. The ingredients are very simple - the main course consists of chicken fillet with pineapple garnished with pasta and canned corn. As an appetizer - lettuce, a slice of fresh cucumber, peeled carrots and turkey fillets. For dessert, a sweet buttered bun and cherry pie. Simple, but tasty and satisfying. The only thing missing was the pasta sauce.

UIA now offers a fairly large menu for pre-ordering meals and reasonable prices that are comparable to prices at the airport or even less.

Of the eight paid food options that I managed to try, I can name continental lunch very good or good, pork-free meals on flights from Ukraine, meals for children from 2 to 10 years old on flights to Ukraine, “around the world” lunch. The first three food options have the best taste and the best price / quality ratio. The impression of the Ukrainian and Italian lunches was spoiled by the salty main dish.

I would like UIA to allow adding tea or coffee to lunches at a special price when ordering in advance. For example, now UIA allows you to order a sandwich and tea / coffee in advance, while the price of a hot drink in such a set is 1 euro instead of 2 euro. In the meantime, when ordering hot meals in advance, tea must be paid for at the standard price of 2 euros in cash or by card on board.
