Meshchersky park in Moscow: description, entertainment, photos

Meshchersky National Park, laid out in the Bakovsky forest, is not only a green place within the boundaries of a noisy and gas-polluted metropolis, but also an excellent reason to walk with your family or friends, play sports with like-minded people, introducing children to healthy recreation. But if suddenly you want to replace active rest with a pleasant, but unhurried pastime - here it is also possible.

The history of the founding of the park

The beginning of this resting place was laid back in the distant XIV century, in the then forest there were the estates of princes, boyars, near whose estates small peasant villages were formed. The peasants used the forest for their household and their own needs. By the end of the XIV century, the boyar of the Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy named Andrei Odinets was granted an estate located 19 versts from Moscow, which eventually turned into the village of Odintsovo. During the reign of Tsar Ivan the Terrible, his hunting grounds were located here.

Nowadays, Meshchersky Park is famous not only for the fact that it includes a real forest, but also for the fact that this forest has retained a noticeable part of its former, almost pristine beauty, which means that the ecology here is practically unique.

Park today

In 2007, a number of hectares of the Bakovsky forest park were bought by structures owned by Roman Abramovich, who wanted to create a park here, which later received the name of the neighboring village - Meshchersky Park. Interestingly, Moscow includes the village itself, and the park is already spread out on the territory of the region.

During the summer months, there is a pond beach where you can sunbathe by the water. Cyclists have the opportunity to ride the paths right between the trees, and skiers can ski in the winter months. There are also special paths for Nordic walking enthusiasts. And so that the peace of the vacationers is not disturbed by anything and no one, a patrol service works here, which will escort rowdy or drunken hooligans out of the park.

Has Meshchersky Park and a high-quality football field measuring 60 by 40 meters. It is equipped with high-quality artificial turf and coconut filler, which meets the most stringent requirements, even FIFA would not have found comments on it. By the way, the tournament can be held here quite corresponding to the level of the pitch, because even for the fans there are stands with 50 seats.

The park also has a roller track with a length of 1850 meters with a very high-quality and modern surface. The width of the track is as much as 3 meters, which eliminates any congestion, even when there are many skiers in the park. And along the entire length of the track, there are resting places where you can take a breath and take a sip of water.

There are also equipped playgrounds for playing football, workout areas, and places for yoga in the park. For those who bring their pets to the Meshchersky Park, there are agility sites, that is, special places where you can practice "dog sports", and if simply - passing special obstacles with the dog. But do not forget about the safety rules - animals are allowed on the site only in a muzzle and a collar. You can also admire and feed squirrels in the park.

In addition, various sports competitions, relay races and holidays are regularly held in the park. On the site of this object or on its information board, there is always a complete poster of all upcoming events.
