Shopping is a separate and significant part of a trip to Turkey, as Turkey is the largest manufacturing resource in Europe in the clothing section. We arrived in Antalya at 14.30. According to the transfer, our hotel was the last, we entered the hotel around 18.30. We were quickly given bracelets and a key to room 1204. Room with side sea view and adjacent hotel. the size of the room is quite small, with one 2-bed and one 1.5-bed. we immediately moved them, so at least there was free access to the bathroom door. the furniture is not new, it is in this room that it is broken in places. Air conditioning, refrigerator and TV worked properly. After more than 10 hours of driving from 4 summer child there was no strength to look and ask for other rooms, so we changed and went to dinner.
The dining room (not a restaurant) is small, sometimes there were not even empty seats at the peak of check-in. The assortment of food is not large, but you could always choose what to eat. Meat - sausages, chicken, partridge, roast, a couple of times there was a fried chicken on the grill. Fish mackerel. Some soy sticks. for garnish - french fries, country style, cereals, macaroons, spaghetti, mashed potatoes. lots of stewed vegetables, and a large selection of greens and sliced salads. For breakfast there were always boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cheese and sausage slices, olives, delicious buns, casseroles, sometimes milk porridge, milk with sweet breakfasts and a lot of jams. fruit was tight - watermelons, apples, tangerines, a couple of times grapes and plums. From sweet - only Turkish sweets like soaked shortbread cookies and a la pudding a couple of times. Oh, and one more time they brought out 3 cakes, but the chef didn't even have time to deliver them, Russian girls over 50+ dared to do everything.
Speaking of age-old Russian vacationers ... this is probably the mentality. Once "for everything is paid", we walk as in last time... the dining room has not yet opened, and they are already jostling at the door. and in the first half hour for food, in principle, you can not go, there are such wild queues, as if people had not eaten for a week. They put on full plates of everything, of course, and do not eat half of it. Therefore, we came to eat about an hour after the start. The service is good, the waiters quickly clear the tables, wipe them up if someone spills something.
About the staff in general: at the reception, a quite nice woman, Galina, will help with any questions that arise. The cleaning ladies barely remember anything in Russian, and on the second floor they didn't clean well.
a week later, the lights went out at night and a diesel generator started working right below us. the noise is wild. we asked to change the number in the morning. We were offered a room on the 4th floor on the opposite side. the room is basically the same, but the view from the balcony is simply gorgeous. We stayed there for the rest of our vacation. Here and the cleaning was better. Towels were changed for us once a day 4-5, bed linen was changed 3 times in 17 days. The textiles are clean, but it is clear that they are already very "tired".
Beach and sea. The beach is really a couple of minutes walk. The beach of the hotel is so-so, but I will not say that everything is straightforward, as they say. The sun beds are quite normal, not broken, after 12 hours we calmly found free ones, the child slept for 2-3 hours under an umbrella under the sound of the sea =). The bar on the beach is paid, we did not use it, except that we bought ice cream for a child, delicious. Well, the sea ... The sea is a fairy tale. Warm, clean, transparent, we swam closer to the beach neighboring hotel, but in its own half, because further there are plates in the water. We went a couple of times to the pier of the Grand Captan hotel, jumped from it =) and no one drove from it. the sea for the entire rest period was stormy for a total of 4 days, after the rain. The rest of the time the sea was great.
Separately, it is worth writing about Hamam ... it's some kind of miracle. $ 20 and you're in paradise.
Pool. wish it was warmed up. the water is cold, but we are not particularly upset, since we came to the sea, not to the pool.
Animation. practically absent. in the evening the girl Fatma comes, conducts a mini-disco with the children, the repertoire of songs has not changed for the whole time. Then they include the same songs, there is no youth music. several times there were contests, not all disingenuous, apparently, designed for people prepared by alcohol. Alcohol is basically normal - beer from kegs, red wine, gin and vodka from glass bottles, undiluted. Carbonated drinks-Pepsi, Sevenap. Cocktails - for a fee.
About infrastructure. Nearby there are ATMs, supermarkets Migros and Sok, 2 pharmacies, shops, rental bicycles, electric scooters, cars. Near bus stop, 15 minutes and you are in the center of Alanya. The fare is 4 lira per person, children are free. My advice is not to take a bus to the city on weekends in the evening, to get back, or rather, to get on a bus in the center will be sooooo problematic.
We rented bicycles for a day, the cost is 30 liras per person and plus 20 liras for rent of a child's bicycle seat. They went to the center, on main market, then to the pier, to the fortress, in general, we drove around decently. We also rented a car, drove ourselves to the Sapadere waterfalls, to the village of Gazipasha (there nice beaches). In the evening we went to observation decks and in shopping center Alanium. Internet. This is tight. One phone is free, the other for a dollar. Wi-Fi is very slow, often lost. We wanted to buy a SIM card first, but changed their minds. I didn't want to give 1300.
Weather. The weather in October is wonderful. with sunrise it gets warm, by 9 o'clock it is already hot, up to 30C. in the evening, after sunset, it is warm, not stuffy. after the rain (we had it 3 times - in the evening, at night and during the day) it is fresh, the last time we even pulled on jeans and sweatshirts. but as soon as the sun came out in the morning, it immediately became hot again. the sea is also still very warm, especially from 11 to 16 o'clock. Then it was cool for me, I only sunbathed, but my husband and son did not climb out of the water until 18 o'clock.
In general, the rest turned out to be great, but this is not the merit of the hotel, since we only slept and ate in it.
