Tram routes. Tram A - Metro Chistye Prudy - Kaluzhskaya Square

I found that with an unlimited metro pass and land transport, the metro is not always the fastest and most successful way to get around Moscow. It is more convenient to combine all transports. Let's see how the tram compares favorably with its transport colleagues.

Study period: it stretched from 05/10/2017 to 07/11/2017 (I didn't study the way to Krylatskoye, then I will pump it, no longer on purpose)

Tram 3 (the longest route at night is 18.7 km) - Metro Chistye Prudy - Balaklavsky Prospect (at night - Akademika Yangel Street)

Advantages of the tram

  • Sometimes convenient routes. Tram lines can sometimes connect the points you need with a shorter route
  • Stability of movement. Trams do not get stuck in traffic jams, they have separate tracks. They can stand at traffic lights, but in general they are more in motion
  • Aesthetics. The metro travels underground, where it is not as interesting outside the window as outside the tram window, especially in clear weather
  • Comfort. The tram travels smoother than the trolleybus or bus. Generally.
  • Railroad. For railway lovers: the tram is more railway than the metro
  • Environmental friendliness. The tram is healthier: it runs on electricity, so it doesn't smell like gasoline and exhaust fumes

Tram route scheme

The most interesting routes for me:

They turned out to be B, 3, 7, 24, 46, 50, 11-half from Ostankino, 6 from Sokol to the Moscow Canal, 27, 17, and, judging by the water content around, they will like 31, 28 in Krylatskoe (but this cannot be checked I will, I will leave it to those who wish).

Moscow tram routes:

Tram A - Metro Chistye Prudy - Kaluzhskaya Square

Center of Moscow, interesting. But I got there while carrying out road repairs. Sometimes it was necessary to stand in a traffic jam with cars.

Tram B - Sokolnicheskaya Zastava - Kurskiy station

Interesting. To the Kursk railway station.

Tram 1 - Moskvoretsky Market - Academician Yangel Street

Tram 2 - Metro "Semenovskaya" - Children's sanatorium

Subjectively, I didn't really like the route. And chatting in the lineup. I understood why the corners of the trams are cut off, so that the cab and the stern are narrow - on the turns, oncoming trams would collide at the corners if the trains were rectangular. The final stop "Children's Sanatorium" is perfect for starting a bike trip on Losiny Island.

Tram 3 (the longest route at night 18.7 km)- Metro station "Chistye Prudy" - Balaklavsky prospect (at night - Academician Yangel Street)

Round the clock, runs at night. Today it is the longest tram route in Moscow at night: travel distance - 18.7 km, total time (including the night interval) - 1 hour 22 minutes.

Tram 4l - Metro station "Ulitsa Podbelskogo" - Sokolnicheskaya Zastava - roundabout

Tram 4pr - Metro station "Ulitsa Podbelskogo" - Sokolnicheskaya Zastava - roundabout

Tra mway 6 - Sokol metro station - Bratsevo ( Tram 6k - East Bridge - Bratsevo)

Modern new compositions with an accordion. It is interesting from Sokol to the Moscow Canal. In Tushino it is already monotonous and takes a long time.

Tram 7 - Metro station "Bulvar Rokossovskogo" (until 2014 "Street Podbelskogo") - Metro station "Novoslobodskaya"

Rides smoothly, especially the first half of the way from metro Rokossovskogo Boulevard.

Tram 8 - Novokonnaya square - 3rd Vladimirskaya street

Tram 9 - Metro "Belorusskaya" - MIIT

Tram 10 - Metro Shchukinskaya - Tallinskaya street

Tram 11 - Ostankino - 16th Parkovaya street

The first half is interesting, where there are small streets and Izmailovsky Park... Along the straight long Pervomayskaya street is no longer very interesting.

Tram 12 - Passage of Enthusiasts - 2nd Mechanical Engineering Street

From the Enthusiasts Highway to Dubrovka.

Tram 13 - Kalanchevskaya street - Children's sanatorium

Also not very interesting, it drives in a straight line big street up to 3 railway stations.

Tram 14 - Kaluzhskaya Square - Metro "University"

Tram 15 - Sokol metro station - Tallinskaya street

Tram 16 - Serpukhovsky Val Street - Academician Yangel Street

Tram 17 - Ostankino - Medvedkovo

Nice route with new trains. I was driving, sitting sideways, like in the subway. Comfortable, you can do business on the road.

Tram 19 - Kalanchevskaya street - Metro station "Novoslobodskaya"

Tram 20 - Kurskiy station - Ugreshskaya street

Tram 21 - Metro station "Schukinskaya" - Tallinskaya street

Tram 23 - Metro "Sokol" - Mikhalkovo

Tram 24 - Kurskiy station - Novogireevo

From the Kursk railway station I drove back to Lefortovo Park.

Tram 25 - Ostankino - Sokolnicheskaya Zastava

Tram 26 - Kaluzhskaya Square - Metro "University"

Residential areas are not very interesting. The tram is not very new, although there is electricity in it, but it smells of technical substances, which makes it sick and nauseous.

Tram 27 - Metro station "Voykovskaya" - Metro station "Dmitrovskaya"

Nice route. There is greenery, the streets are small, not along the main road goes.

Tram 28 - Sokol Metro Station - Marshal Zhukov Avenue

Tram 29 - Children's sanatorium - Bogorodskoe

Tram 30 - Mikhalkovo - Tallinskaya street

Tram 31 - Voykovskaya Metro Station - Marshal Zhukov Avenue

Tram 32 - Enthusiasts' Passage - Metro Partizanskaya

Tram 33 - Metro station "Boulevard Rokossovsky" - Sokolnicheskaya outpost

Tram 34 - 16th Parkovaya street - Novogireevo

Tram 34k - 16th Parkovaya street - Metro station "Semenovskaya"

Tram 35 - Novokonnaya Square - Nagatino

Fine.

Tram 36 - Children's sanatorium - 3rd Vladimirskaya street

Tram 37 - Kalanchevskaya street - Novogireevo

Tram 38 - Metro "Proletarskaya" - Cheryomushki

Tram 39 - Metro Chistye Prudy - Metro University

Tram 40 - Ugreshskaya street - Novokonnaya square

Tram 43 - Semyonovskaya metro station - Ugreshskaya street

Tram 45 - Sokolnicheskaya outpost - Novokonnaya square

Tram 46 - Metro Boulevard Rokossovsky - Metro Proletarskaya

It's nice from Ilyich Square to Proletarskaya - such a quiet area.

Tram 47 - Kaluzhskaya Square - Nagatino

Tram 47k - Lower Boilers - Nagatino

Tram 49 - Balaklavsky prospect - Nagatino

Tram 50 - Kalanchevskaya street - Passage of Enthusiasts

It's more interesting here. In general, routes along small streets are more interesting and beautiful. Look for those.

Outcomes: To summarize, I would like to note that riding on trams is a pleasure from time to time. They generally run smoother, especially in the north, where new trains are. At first I assumed that it was faster to travel by trams. It turned out that this is not so. In most cases, the meter will come out faster. Also, the terrestrial audience is more cheerful and positive than the crowds in the subway.

Without interrupting their work on the traditional weekend, already on Saturday the carriages of the Moscow tram route № 20 got on the line again. They drove the passengers along the new route. And this is only the first step in adjusting the next group of rail routes in the capital.

"Twentieth" was changed first

From December 23, 2017 the tram route № 20 "Art. Ugreshskaya - Kurskiy railway station "has been seriously updated. It was switched to a daily mode of operation, the intervals of movement were reduced, the last flights began to depart two and a half hours later.

But the main thing is to change the track. Traffic on the site from the Museum. Andrei Rublev to the MCC station Ugreshskaya filmed. Instead, the carriages were directed along Andronievsky Proyezd and Volochaevskaya Street to Krasnokazarmennaya Square. Departures from the Kursk railway station every day from 5:36 to 23:36, from Krasnokazarmennaya Square - from 5:48 to 23:48. Driving intervals are nine minutes, in early morning and late evening hours - up to 12 minutes.

Route popularity № 20 decreased significantly a decade and a half ago after the opening of the first stage of the Lublin metro line, which ended in 1999 with the launch of the Dubrovka station. The traffic intervals on the route at certain hours gradually increased to 40 minutes. At the same time, the connection between Volochaevskaya Street and the Kursk railway station and an interchange hub from three stations The Moscow metro proved to be in demand every time it emerged spontaneously during temporary changes to tram routes. Locals they have long been asked to make a permanent route for them, but they were finally heard only quite recently.

Route change № 20 - only the first in the already planned chain of optimizations of eight metropolitan tram routes, which have already been approved in the city register of routes.

Immediate plans

It has already been decided that the route № 3 Balaklava Avenue - Metro Chistye Prudy "will be extended along Chertanovskaya street to the terminal station" Ulitsa Akademika Yangelya "along the route of night flights No. 3n which now operate six nights a week, excluding Sunday to Monday nights. At the same time, the release of cars on the route will stop № 16 "St. Academician Yangel - Serpukhov shaft ".

Routes will mutually exchange final stops №№ 34 "16th Parkovaya st. - Novogireevo "and 36 "Children's sanatorium - 3rd Vladimirskaya st." Route № 34 will be reduced to 3rd Vladimirskaya Street, and the route № 36 on the contrary, it will be extended to the Novogireevo terminal station.

The tram route will be shortened to the Semyonovskaya metro station instead of the Partizanskaya metro station № 32 "Etc. Enthusiasts - Metro Partizanskaya. And the route № 12 "Etc. Enthusiasts - 2nd st. Engineering ", on the contrary, will run along the Entuziastov highway, ave. Budyonny, Izmailovsky highway, st. Izmailovsky Val, Shcherbakovskaya St., 2nd St. Izmailovsky menagerie to the Partizanskaya metro station.

Closer to the lobby of the Sokolniki metro station, where it was in early December, they will be able to drive up after changing the route № 25 "Ostankino - Sokolnicheskaya outpost". The route of the route will be extended along the 2nd Polevoy lane, st. Stromynka, Babaevskaya st. and st. Matrosskaya Tishina to Bolshoy Matrossky per. with a U-turn through the tram depot. Rusakova.

Straighten the route a little № 46 "Metro Boulevard Rokossovsky - Metro Proletarskaya". His check-in at Malaya Semyonovskaya Street, Semyonovsky Lane will be canceled. and Izmailovskaya st. when going to the metro station "Proletarskaya".

What else is cooking?

Mass deliveries of 71-931M Vityaz-M three-section carriages, of which there were 110 in Moscow by the end of 2017, encourage the capital's transport workers to revise the Moscow tram route network. Capacious wagons are sent to routes with a large passenger traffic. After the complete transfer of the tram depot. Bauman to service the "Knights", they will begin to flow to other depots - Oktyabrskoye and them. Rusakova. The separate network of Krasnopresnensky depot, which previously received 70 Pesa cars, will remain unchanged for now. And on the main network, the appearance of new cars will cause inevitable changes in routes. Some of them will even change the registration depot - it will depend on the type of rolling stock.

The Vityazi, unadapted for operation, is the oldest surviving tram depot named after Apakova will continue to work with traditional single-section wagons and wagon couplings based on the Tatra T3 model. "Short" cars will also be used at the site of the Tram Repair Plant that is being returned to work.

And to work with new modern wagons, they will adapt another territory occupied by the Logistics Base of the State Unitary Enterprise "Mosgortrans" on Ugreshskaya Street. An enterprise for the maintenance and repair of trams will appear here, with a site for 150 three-section trams. Financing of the project is included in the Targeted Investment Program of the city of Moscow. A tender for the design of a new transport facility has already been announced.

Mass production of three-section cars with increased current consumption for the capital requires a stable power supply and modernization of the contact network. To determine the "weak points" "Mosgortrans" ordered work on the calculation of the power supply of the contact network. However, not a single applicant entered the competition held in December. Moscow tramsmen revealed their plans for further route changes to the participants of the competition. All calculations had to be done for a promising route network, which even got some plots just getting ready for construction.

So, according to preliminary information, from the side of Academician Yangel Street to Biryulyovo-Zapadnoye, they are going to redirect the route instead of the Moskvoretsky market № 1 , and for communication with the districts closer to the center, extend the route from Balaklavsky Prospekt № 49 .

They want to leave the routes unchanged No. 4 (right and left), 7, 11, 13, 14, 26, 29, 35, 36, 37, 39, 47. Superfluous in new network there may be routes No. 2, 9, 20, 32, 34k, 38, 40, 45, B- they are compensated by other changeable routes. Some of them will almost double.

The longest (26.9 km long) route should be № 12 ... It will connect 16th Parkovaya Street and Cheryomushki, completely absorbing the route № 38 ... Slightly shorter (23 km long) in the projected network will be the route № 25 ... According to preliminary information, in this form it will connect Medvedkovo and Kurskiy railway station, passing through Oleniy Val street, Baumanskaya and Volochaevskaya streets and absorbing part of the route routes # # B and 45 .

The length of the route will slightly change № 8 - from 9.9 to 9.4 km. Previously, it was planned to conduct it from the side of 3rd Vladimirskaya Street instead of Novokonnaya Square to direct it to the Kursk railway station along the restored one, but the decision to revive this line has so far been blocked by local social activists.

Route № 19 from Kalanchevskaya Street, instead of Novovorotnikovsky Lane, they will be directed to Tverskaya Zastava, and the route will continue along its old route № 50 ... Such measures will allow you to abandon the use of the route. № 9 ... Route № 24 from the Kursk railway station instead of Novogireev will follow only to the Enthusiasts passage. The route will be shortened even more. № 34 - instead of the previous 17.7 km, only 8.06 km will be left from its route, which is approximately equal to the distance along the current route No. 34k from 16th Parkovaya street to Malaya Semyonovskaya street. Route tracks will become longer №№ 43 (18.2 km instead of 15.4 km), 46 (17.0 km instead of 16.7) and BUT(16.0 km instead of 10.2).

Note that on the existing network, "Annushka" will not be able to grow so much in size. The location of all active tramway rings allows organizing a route with either a greater or a shorter length. Apparently, plans for the legendary metropolitan route were also drawn up taking into account the new construction (the line on Akademika Sakharov Avenue, or a turn from the center to the Novospassky Bridge on Paveletskaya Square).

Cars "Vityaz-M" are going to complete the routes №№ 3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17, 26, 36, 37, 39, 50 ... The remaining routes on the main network will continue to be served by single carriages. And only on the route № 1 will preserve the operation of the connections of two Tatra T3 cars in a multi-unit system.

However, it is known that the more long-term plans are, the more all kinds of changes can occur with their implementation. Therefore, in the coming months, we can expect with greater confidence only those changes that are already included in the city register.

Let us recall that in September, tram traffic to Tverskaya Zastava and three auxiliary tram routes were opened in Moscow.

The city authorities have grandiose development plans tram network in Moscow. Here and the restoration of some previously dismantled tracks, and even an extension beyond the Moscow Ring Road. There are quite real routes, but there are also absolutely fantastic ones. Today I would like to consider a very specific project: tram routes leading to Biryulyovo West. The fact is that now there are public hearings on a new tram line to the area. As it often happens with us, most of the people whom this topic concerns in the first place do not know anything about it. Let's take a comprehensive look at the details of this project and discuss its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the difficulties that arose during the design. This is, in fact, a diagram of the future tram line to Biryulyovo.

But before moving on to discussing the topic of the tram, I would like to briefly discuss the main transport problems of Biryulyovo, especially since they are typical for so many districts of the capital. Western Biryulyovo has one exit to the Moscow Ring Road (a second one was recently opened, freight traffic has left, but nothing has fundamentally changed) and one directly to Moscow, through Podolskikh Kursantov Street. There are no other exits. Exit to the west, east and north of the area is impeded railways... A similar situation (only mirror reflection) is typical for Vostochny Biryulyovo: one exit to the Moscow Ring Road and Lipetskaya Street leading to the center.

This is my favorite Biryulyovo West
