Money. Maximum vacation days off

So let's reason. According to the law, each employee is entitled to leave for 28 calendar days. And it doesn't matter what days it falls on - weekends or workdays. Because they all end up being calendar. The only thing to remember is that calendar days do not include holidays. But I will talk about this a little later.

That is, an employee can take a vacation, for example, only for weekends or only for workdays. The main thing is that one part of the vacation should be at least 14 calendar days. This is the norm of Article 125 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. The rest of the parts can be split as you like. At least 14 times one day.

First, consider the option when the employee took vacation taking into account the days off, for example, from Monday to Sunday. In this case, he wins in monetary terms, but loses in rest. That is, for such a vacation, taking into account the weekend, the employee will receive 4081 rubles 62 kopecks.

Time. Rest only on weekdays

Now let's consider the option when an employee, wanting to save vacation days, does not include weekends. For example, he writes a statement from Monday to Friday. Then he can stretch the 28 calendar days allotted to him for a longer period, but he will no longer receive payment for the days off, adjacent to the vacation. By the way, not everyone understands this. Many employees believe that if they take vacations from Monday to Friday, they will receive the same amount as if they wrote a vacation application from Monday to Sunday. After all, they rest for a week anyway. But at the same time, the vacation days will save ...

Therefore, your task is to explain to the employee that he is wrong. In this version, he wins only in rest. And he will lose in salary. Consider the same example, just suppose that the employee wrote the application not on May 13, but on May 11. That is, the vacation fell on a working week without days off.

Holidays. Vacation time is saved, the final amount of payment does not change

It is the presence of holidays in May that prompts workers to take small holidays. This allows, so to speak, to extend the holiday. However, as I said, holidays not paid. Therefore, in terms of the amount of vacation pay, it is better if holidays are not included in the vacation period. For comparison: a week vacation, for example from May 7 to 11, will be paid in a smaller amount than a week vacation from May 14 to 18. Since in the first case, the holiday period falls on May 9, a public holiday. Let's take a look at the numbers.

The employee goes on vacation from May 14 to May 18, that is, for five calendar days. His average daily earnings are again 680.27 rubles. The amount of vacation pay in this case will be equal to: 680.27 rubles. x 5 calend. days = RUB 3401.35

While for a week of vacation with a holiday, he would have received 2721.08 rubles.

However, if you look at the situation in general, then this loss in money will be offset by the large salary in May. Indeed, on vacation from May 14 to May 18, the employee rests for five working days and for the remaining 16 working days in May, he is paid a salary. And vacation from May 7 to 11 is four working days. Accordingly, the salary will be calculated in 17 working days. Thus, if holidays fall on the vacation period, then, firstly, they are not paid, and secondly, they are not counted during the vacation period. This is a kind of compromise between vacation with the maximum number of days off and vacation only for the working period.
