More ▾ We rested at the Alaya Resort 5 * hotel from 05/28/18 to 06/11/18 with a family: 2 children, 2 adults.
In general, the impression of the hotel: the hotel does not correspond to the declared 5 stars!
In order:
I'll start with check-in: having arrived at the hotel at 11 am, after an overnight flight in the presence of 7 buildings in the hotel, we were told to wait at 14.00, because there were no free rooms ... this was with a room stock of more than 400 units ... After waiting 1, 5 hours, again contacting the reception, they still gave us the keys, hinting that only for us they found such an opportunity .. (hinting at a reward ...)
Regarding food in the hotel: I got the impression that the hotel administration is completely saving on food, because the meat was only chicken or turkey (this is not the level of a 5-star hotel !!), and the same dishes: stewed poultry with vegetables, stuffed vegetables and a kind of chicken shawarma ... No beef, no lamb for 2 weeks at the hotel, we have never seen ... Vegetables: every day they laid out peeled tomatoes cut into quarters with WHITE !!! cores !!! Periodically sour ((Question: tomatoes do not ripen in Turkey ??? Or Russians can be fed green nitrate ones too ?? After reading rave reviews about the delicacies of this hotel (strawberries, cherries, shrimps) of the previous year, we have never seen ANYTHING like this !!!
In general, after looking at all this disgrace for several days, I went to talk to the reception with the administration (Nadezhda), who explained to me that unripe tomatoes are normal, pink watermelons are also ... (like it's not in season yet), and strawberries and cherries are all of them are exported, although cherries and strawberries were sold at a price of $ 2 per kg 300 meters from the hotel ... , red meat in the menu is in the form of minced meat in stuffed vegetables ... and they will not change anything, because serving beef and other meat is expensive for a hotel ... So make your own conclusions .. If you are ready to go to a 5-star hotel and eat one chicken and a turkey, this is your choice ... I can say that after talking with the administrator, the only thing there were grilled turkey steaks and the same grilled chicken ...
Cas. cleaning and room service - the staff does not understand either English or Russian: in 2 weeks for four people we were given 2 tiny shampoos, and when we explained on our fingers at the end of the rest that it would be nice to add shampoos (after all, we counted in a 5 * star hotel) the maid showed that she did not have them ... And here there is a total economy even on trifles ...
The animation in the hotel is decent, the only thing is that when there are discos by the pool in the evening (every other day). then until 23.30 no one can sleep in the room… .tk. all buildings are located around the pool. I don't know how little children are put to bed while there are a lot of them in the hotel ...
Now Kas. beach: the beach is excellent, sand, shallow entrance to the sea, the hotel has its own piece of the beach, but which DOES NOT ENOUGH BEDDERS !!! for everyone who wants the hotel ((The earlier you come, the more seats are occupied, I advise you to come at 10.30-11.00, some loungers seem to start to be emptied ....
This is probably all that I would like to warn those wishing to relax in this hotel ... Decide for yourself what you are ready to receive for your money ..
In general, Turkey this time disappointed ... (Was 3 years ago in Kemer, also in a 5 star hotel, heaven and earth compared…)
Another small remark regarding the tour operator Anex-tour, as I understand it, they occupy a leading position in the market of tourist services in Turkey, they took an excursion from them to the Alanya fortress, and so, accompanied by us, they gave us a Turkish guide by nationality, although only Russian tourists went on the excursion, to perceive information in broken Russian from which it was difficult ... Usually decent agencies do not do this ...

Service

Many people who have stayed at Sanya Jinglilai Resort 3 * are happy to talk about the advantages of this hotel. And one of those is service.

The hotel, like all its grounds, is very clean. So much so that you can walk barefoot along the corridors. Rooms are cleaned daily, the rooms are cleaned carefully, and not superficially. Hygiene kits (shampoos, gels, soaps, lotions, etc.) are replenished regularly.

The only negative noted by the guests is the lack of staff who speak Russian. But this is not surprising because the hotel Sanya Jinglilai Resort 3 * is located in Asian country and is intended mainly for residents of North and Central China. But if you need to explain with the administrator, there is a way out. You need to go to the reception and call the translator from there (he has his own at the hotel, is located remotely), after which he will explain everything to the administrator of the complex. And even if the staff does not know Russian, the people work there are polite and friendly, ready to do everything possible for the comfort of their client.

Not so bad as everyone writes.
We got together with my husband for the May holidays.
After reading the reviews, I was ready for anything. Here they write everything frankly and in detail, so all the points were taken into account, but I would like to leave a review on my own, because there are not many "fresh" May 2017 reviews.
So.
The flight was very long and difficult. 11 hours from Moscow time.
A Chinese man met us with a sign Rustura and showed us where to go to the bus. The road was not long, but after the plane I got sick. His throat and runny nose were terribly sore. This is what I mean: we arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock, and there was waiting for us hotel guide Lyosha (a wonderful and very kind person, I'm serious!) And stunned us with the news that it took 3.5 hours to check in, and all this time he offered to spend in the lobby or go to have a bite to eat at another hotel. Because the throat hurt terribly and the check-in was not soon, we left our things and went to free transfer to some other hotel, to a godforsaken cafe, where they played the same song for an hour.
We waited for the check-in, paid a $ 100 deposit (at the end of the rest, it is most often returned if you did not break, did not steal, did not break anything), gave a number on the 5th floor 5024 (like this number) .. I’ll run ahead and tell that, already at the end of our vacation, my husband broke one glass. We were looking for a similar pineapple in the shopping center, but we did not find anything like it. I had to pay for the broken glass upon checkout, but our deposit was returned.
You can talk endlessly about the number ... and here I will start:
Pros:
A good air conditioner is not very noisy;
-Comfortable shower room
-Daily they were given disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste and a comb (plastic - probably only a man or woman with short hair will do), shower gel and shampoo were in large containers (like soap in public toilets)
-There was a small film library in English on the TV. language. Every evening and at lunchtime we watched some interesting film! This is a huge plus, there are action films, and melodramas, and children's comedies. Cartoons are paid.
-Gave out a lot of pillows. Two flat pillows per person and one more decorative.

There was a small bar refrigerator in the cabinet downstairs. We put away fruit or something that we hadn't eaten in the cafe. In all the cafes you could ask for a takeaway. They pack everything in containers, but for this they ask for a small surcharge.
There was a safe next to the refrigerator. We have never used it, because the hotel staff are very decent. For all 7 days of rest, nothing was lost!
All of the pluses of the room.

There are also enough cons:
-weak w-fi
-free drinking water not allowed in the room
-the lack of a balcony in the room !!!
- "scruffy" furniture, chairs with stains
The view from the window was on the road, shop, pharmacy and neighboring hotel, from the side it captured a little sea view. It was comforting. But the window itself is scary, with some kind of bullet shot in it (I attach a photo).
On the very first day, tiny ants appeared in my medicine bag. Probably because mostly sweet-coated tablets.
The cleaning service was poor.
I will write about this in more detail:
Once we bought a giant mango, ate it in the room and accidentally dripped it - made a couple of three spots on the sheet. The next morning, the cleaning lady took off this stained linen and left it in front of the TV, laying a new one for us. We thought that she had forgotten to pick it up, but just in case we put Alyonka's chocolate bar on top of the sheet so that she would certainly take away the "forgotten" laundry. The next day, she also left the sheets, stained upside down. She did not take the chocolate, put it aside. The next morning we already left 20 RMB. So she finally took our stained sheets to wash. But the ones that she made three days ago for us didn’t change for the whole of our rest. And every day she either gave the towels dirty, with stains, or left ours, just folding them again, even if they were wet.
I didn't want to swear on my vacation. There is enough negativity in Moscow, so I was glad that I took a large towel from home with me - I used it in the shower, in the pool, and at sea.
To go to the sea is very close. There are several exits from the hotel. One main one, where tourists come in for the first time. The second exit is the exit to the bus stop and to the sea. The sea is right across the road. If you leave the second exit, facing the road, then, turning to the right and walking for 5-7 minutes, there will be a cafe near Lena. We only went there at the end of the rest and were very upset that we had not gone there before. There was EVERYTHING on the menu that we were looking for in different cafes in Hainan, and eventually found there. Traditional cuisine, Russian-speaking manager. Prices are roughly the same everywhere - expensive. As in Moscow, prices are more expensive somewhere.
It is cheaper in Thailadna, of course!
Let's go back to the exits from the hotel. There is also a third exit. He leads one third-rate to the cafe. You need to go past the photo studio (go to the left) to go to the cafe. You can cut there if you want to walk just past fruits and restaurants.
Opposite the second exit from the hotel is bus stop... From there, take buses 26 or 8 and go to Dadonghai Bay. This is Chinese Pattaya. Life is in full swing there and there are many shopping centers. Winter (consumer goods), Summer (expensive shopping center, local TSUM) and Pineapple shopping center. Decent shopping center in the form of Pineapple. It is beautiful in appearance and with many shops inside. I attach a photo. Especially beautiful when they turn on the backlight ..
If you leave the second exit from the hotel (forgive the pun), but do not cross the road, then you can take the bus to Thermal springs and to the Buddhist center. To the b. Center go min. 40. A ticket costs about 100 yuan. Still cheaper than the tour operator. It is better to take Monkey Island and Romantic Park from the tour operator. It will be more problematic and more expensive to get to these places on your own.
And now about the hotel as a whole:
At the main entrance, on the facade of the building, there are a lot of birds' nests, similar to swallows, only without characteristic tails. At the entrance on the left is an expensive clothing store for hotel guests, on the right is the reception. At the reception, neither English nor Russian is spoken. The only thing that can be done at the reception is to play the game Crocodile (playing pantomimes), because they won't understand ANYTHING otherwise.
The rat was seen only once. And we were intimidated ..
The area is very beautiful, especially their mini tropical garden. A beautiful tree with plumeria and lianas grows there. And then there is a tennis court, where photo shoots of Chinese brides and grooms are held in the evening. They are everywhere in Hainan (both photo agencies and future newlyweds). They go to Hainan for a pre-wedding photo session so that there will already be photographs at the wedding.
They did not really interfere, only in the evening the "bride in the boat" photosets were constantly held by the pool. It got in the way when I wanted to swim.
The hotel dining room overlooks the pool and when you have breakfast, the view is simply stunning! Breakfasts are so-so. From the assortment: rice / pasta / funchose (varies daily), scrambled eggs, soup, rice porridge for children, 2 types of cabbage (spicy and not spicy), watermelon (nothing more from fruits!), Incomprehensible water, distantly similar to tea, coffee at the bar on request, steamed buns and sooooo delicious coconut bun. Because of her, I gained 2 kg per vacation !! :)
At the bar, you can only ask for coffee. They do not prepare cocktails like in other hotels. They have alcohol for beauty. When we asked if they have, they answered us through an auto-translator - wouldn't it be easier for you to buy alcohol in a store. Very simple people.
The Chinese, by the way, are mostly very pleasant people. It was the people I liked the most ... and also the mango. A mango like on. Hainan is nowhere in the world! They grow a unique mango variety with the finest bone. I don’t even know how they propagate this variety, tk. I tried to plant a bone, but nothing hatches from it ..
From souvenirs, it is worth bringing Hainan mango (you can bring 5 kg per person), coconut vodka in small bottles, Chinese sweets (there are a lot of them in the Pineapple shopping center in the grocery supermarket), coconut and mango powder, which is added to taste in coffee or milk (I advise !!) and binlan .... ask the guide what it is;)
Total that we have: The hotel is not bad, there are many pluses and minuses. They balance each other so much that I think it will work for one couple's getaway.
