The adaptive cruise control is equipped with a radar that is installed just behind the grille. The radar constantly sends a signal, which actually determines the need to accelerate or slow down the car, based on the speed of return of the signal sent forward.

Adaptive cruise control is very similar to conventional cruise control, since it, like its less "advanced" counterpart, is able to maintain the speed set by the driver. In addition to determining the distance between vehicles, calculated from the delay time of the reflected signal, the system is able to determine the speed of the vehicle in front, for which the change in the frequency of the reflected signal according to the Doppler effect is used.


Dynamic control - tracking the parameters of the movement of the vehicle in front, supplemented by the control of its position on the road, i.e. the location of the front car relative to the rear on the road.

How to use cruise control

It is generally accepted that cruise control is operated using the steering column switch.

When organizing such a control system, it becomes intuitive how to use the cruise control. Initially, you must turn on the system. Then, as the movement starts, when the desired speed is reached (in the range from thirty to two hundred km), it is entered into the system memory and will be maintained. The required distance is set by moving the corresponding slider. All set driving parameters for driver control are displayed on the instrument panel, as well as additional indicators in the form of luminous LEDs and special pictograms.

The set speed value can be increased / decreased with the switch. This information on how to use the cruise control is enough to set safe driving conditions for the car thanks to the well thought out control system.

Although cruise control is not an essential part of the vehicle's equipment, it contributes to improving driving safety and providing additional comfort while driving.
