Lake ai efim in the crimea. Mountain lake ai-efim. Palace and estate Karasan

380 meters above sea level, between famous spa centers South Crimea Cliff and Partenit, there is a tiny lake with interesting name Ai-Efim. And although its area is quite small - the maximum length is 145 m, and the width is 115 m, but the depth is quite large - in some places it even reaches 10 meters.

Ay-Efim is a lake of artificial origin. Its main source of food is groundwater and sediments. Consequently, the depth of the reservoir reaches its highest marks in spring and autumn - when the snow melts and there are heavy rains. But in summer, the lake becomes very shallow and turns into a puddle. This is also due to the fact that local residents actively use Ai-Efim to water their gardens and vineyards. The lake has a neat oval shape. Its banks are flat and covered with lush vegetation, which is typical for the southern coast of Crimea. And these are pine species, and juniper, and fluffy oak, and beech, and Pontic butcher, and pistachios, and many other representatives of the local flora.

Clean mountain air, abundantly saturated with oxygen, attracts tourists from different regions of the CIS. They come to the lake starting in April. Ai-Efim is especially popular on the May holidays when the waters are still full of shores, when plants bloom and smell, birds chirp and this place resembles a small piece of paradise.

In summer - in hot months - the water in the lake becomes scarce, it loses its transparency, acquires an unclear hue. Therefore, July and August are not the best periods to visit this reservoir. Especially if you want to.

According to local residents, there are not very many fish in Ai-Efim, mainly perch and carp. Both the one and the other bite best here in spring - in April-May, when the amount of lake water reaches its peak. As for the carp, it is known to love cloudy water. Therefore, hunting him, you can try your luck until the end of June - while the lake has not yet completely shallowed, but has already acquired a muddy appearance.

By the way, the lack of transparency of Ai-Efim is also explained by the abundant aquatic vegetation that lives here and is extremely fond of the second inhabitant of the lake - the perch. The most active biting of the small predator begins in early spring and lasts until May. This is followed by a break, and in the fall the fish bite again wonderfully. It is best to cast your rod from a steep bank, as the perch loves depth. And since Lake Ai-Efim does not have such, it is advisable to take a boat with you and get out to the middle of the lake - where the depth indicators are highest. And if the ideal time to hunt for carp is evening and early morning, then the perch bites around the clock and for meat bait - from an earthworm to a small live bait.

You can get to Lake Ai-Efim by public transport, following along the South Coast Highway from Alushta, Yalta, Gurzuf, Partenit or Utes. The stop is located next to the Vino and Cheese store. A little to the right of this store you will see a staircase that leads to the village of Kiparisnoye and, in fact, to the lake itself. If you are driving a private car, you will have to leave the car at the stairs and walk - this is perhaps the only disadvantage of rest. Everything else will undoubtedly please you!

In summer, the museum is open to the public from 12 noon to 20 pm.

Like Paradise Park, the museum has interesting story creation. A. Kulish was fond of collecting stones and ancient fossils. Once a stone appeared in the collection, on the cut of which there was a beautiful landscape with a mountain lake and trees. After this discovery, the passionate collector began to look for new amazing stones and, when the collection reached a large size, a unique museum of stones was created.
All stones are pristine.

In addition to landscapes, on the cut of each stone you can see flowers, for example, a beautiful white chrysanthemum made of crystals against a black background or an amazing kaleidoscope of colors. There is even an ancient fossilized mollusk - ammonite. The stones presented in the museum are local Crimean samples, as well as rocks from the Urals. The number of stones in the museum is more than 4 thousand pieces, new specimens are constantly being added.

Lakes in Partenit

After a walk in the Park "Paradise" and a visit to the museum of stones, vacationers can go on a journey to two beautiful lakes in Partenit:

  • Lake Turquoise (or Jubilee),
  • Lake Ai-Efim.

Turquoise lake has an amazing color that is admired by those who saw it for the first time. It is located in the mountains (more than 600 m above sea level), framed by hills, which are densely overgrown with green forest.

Lake Buryuzovoe

This is another paradise, which you should definitely visit when you come to Partenit. The lake is small but deep. Rest near the lake will be chosen by those who prefer almost deserted places... Nearby is the mountain village of Zaprudnoye.

Tourists settle down near the lake in tent camps. It is forbidden to light bonfires near Turquoise Lake, so you need to take a gas cylinder with you to cook or reheat food. It is also necessary to collect a first aid kit with insect bite ointment and other medicines. In the northern part of the lake there is a source with fresh water, but it is better to stock up on bottles of drinking water. Capturing beautiful landscapes in pictures requires a good camera.

Lake Ai-Efim located higher near Partenit (South Coast Highway). The water in the lake is cold, as it is formed underground springs... Its depth is from 5 to 10 meters. The lake is located at the coordinates: GPS - N 44 36.100 E 34 20.517.

Raevsky, who was the youngest son of Nikolai Nikolaevich. "The Raevsky Manor" - this is the name under which this house went down in history. Excursions are now organized here.

Beautiful patterns and stucco mosaics, columns and portals, a tower with a dome - details architectural ensemble the Raevsky Palace. Conifers spread phytoncides around, and the fresh wind brings the smell of the sea. In Soviet times, there was a sanatorium Karasan, and now the administration of the sanatorium is located.

Mount Roman-Kosh and Ayudag (Bear Mountain)

Roman-Kosh is the highest Crimean mountain, its height is 1545 meters. It is located in the protected area of the peninsula. The reserve is guarded by horse rangers; visitors can only travel along special hiking trails. The mountain can be climbed in three ways, guided by coordinates 44.613 889 N, 34.234 338 E:

Mount Roman-Kosh

  • a steep climb to Roman-Kosh leads from the village Krasnokamenka, through the motor depot, then near the quarry and along the path through the forest; there used to be red markers in the forest, but tourists say that over time they have worn off;
  • strong hikers can climb through Angarsk pass and Konek ridge;
  • from Yalta along the mountain path Ai-Petrinskaya Yayla moving in northeast direction between Kemal-Egerek and the Gazebo of the Winds.

Ayu-Dag located at the coordinates: GPS - N 44 33.500 E 34 20.100. Bear Mountain is the most famous upland of the peninsula. It is three times lower than Roman-Kosh, but it is massive.

Mount Ayu-Dag

Tied to the mountain ancient legend about a girl and the leader of bears, who adopted an orphan into a flock and raised her. And when the girl decided to leave the pack together with the young man, rushing into the sea on a makeshift raft, then the leader nestled to the sea and decided to drain it, having drunk to the bottom. His attempt failed, and he himself ended up a huge mountain.

In fact, Mount Ayu-Dag is a failed volcano. Millions of years ago, magma raged inside Ayu-Dag, but it never broke through to the surface. The result is a dome with magmatic masses frozen inside. Now they can be seen on the surface, where the mountain was washed away by water and weathering occurred.

A dense forest grows on Ayu-Dag, and from the side it looks as if the fur covered the sides of a huge bear, which is still trying to drink to the bottom of the sea.

Bear Mountain is a state landscape reserve. It is not forbidden to walk here, there are hiking trails... From the height of Ayu-Dag you can admire beautiful bays and the coast on which there are boarding houses, sanatoriums and summer cottages. The illusion is created that the cozy bays, which are visible from the height of the mountain, are within easy reach. But in fact, there is no way to go down to them.

We talk in more detail about the Ayu-Dag mountain in.

House-Museum of Brownies

If every tourist gets pleasure from visiting the museum of stones, then an excursion to the house of brownies is not for everybody. The house-museum of brownies was created by an artist from Partenit. Together with his wife, he put together a collection here, which consists of exhibits:

  • minerals,
  • stones,
  • pictures on the cut of minerals,
  • mystical figures of brownies.

Brownie Museum

Many tourists come to admire this collection, but not all residents of the village like this house. They call the museum a collection of "evil spirits".

Interesting video about Partenit village:

The village of Partenit is located in a pleasant company between "Medved" and "Medvezhonok" - this is how the names of the Ayu-Dag and Kuchuk-Ayu mountains are translated. The "bear" village began to be considered a resort only in the second half of the 20th century - and the resort is quite prestigious: here there is picturesque nature, soft and healthy climate... As well as several extensive and beautiful parks, on which it is pleasant to walk on hot summer days.

Where to stay in Partenit

If you choose Partenit for rest, it is better to stay in a sanatorium, and not in the private sector. The tourist infrastructure in the village is rather poorly developed, most of the beaches belong to hotels and health resorts, and you can get to them only for an additional fee. The passage to public beaches, which are few in the village, are often also blocked by the fences of sanatoriums. There is small and cramped central beach without amenities and entertainment or wild beaches at the foot of Ayu-Dag, which can be reached by renting a boat or mastering the risky descent and ascent along the slopes of the Bear Mountain.

The most famous local health resorts are health-improving complex "Aivazovskoe", military sanatorium "Crimea", sanatoriums " Karasansky" and " Cliff". The parks surrounding these sanatoriums, in fact, are the main attractions of the village.

Day 1. Park "Paradise"

Wherever you stay, one day is worth taking a walk in the park sanatorium complex "Aivazovskoe"- it's not for nothing that he earned the name "Paradise". The entrance to the park is located in the east of the village, on Vasilchenko Street. Several types of tickets are sold at the entrance to the sanatorium, including the right to visit the beach and rent a sun lounger. If the day is summer and hot, you should immediately purchase a full ticket and combine a walk with a swim. Moreover, there will be no ticket offices on the territory of the park and it will not be possible to buy a ticket to the beach.

Day 5. Alushta or Yalta

Partenit is a quiet and calm place, but you can get tired of the silence! If you want to feel the hectic pace of life big resort, go for a day to Alushta or Yalta.

Alushta is located closer to Partenit, you can get to it by bus number 109, which will take you to the center of the resort, on Soviet Square... From here you can go to Vladimir Khromykh Street and walk around the area Fortress hill having examined the old Church of All Crimean Saints and Theodore Stratilat, and then - Yukhary-Jami mosque on Upper Street and one of the towers of the ancient Byzantine fortress Aluston, which is hiding in the courtyard of the house number 17 on April 15 street.

Arriving at the bus station, you can take trolleybus number 1 to bus stop "City Center" and stroll by Lenin Square to the beginning Yalta embankment... A walk along the embankment can be supplemented by an ascent along cable car to Darsan hill and inspection "and" Literary Yalta".

Day 6. Village Kiparisnoe

11 kilometers from Partenit in the direction of Alushta is located village Kiparisnoe- it can be reached by trolleybuses No. 52 and 53 and other public transport along the South Coast Highway. It is worth taking a half-day trip to explore Lake Ay-Efim near the village. You can get to it if you walk from the stop along the stairs to the village.

Ai-Yefim is a small, neat oval-shaped reservoir (145 meters long and 115 meters wide), but its depth is more than 10 meters, though not all year round. The lake is fed only by precipitation and groundwater, therefore it becomes very shallow in summer, and overflows in spring. By the way, the water in it is very cold because of the underground springs.

The definition "cozy" suits him best. Mountain lake Ai-Efim found itself perfect place right above the famous Crimean resort villages Partenit and Cliff. They say it is artificial. Well, this is hinted at by its almost regular oval shape. The large diagonal of this oval is 145 meters, and the smaller one is 115 meters.

The reservoir is small, but very attractive, which is greatly facilitated by the vegetation surrounding it. You can meet here oak, pistachio tree, beech, butcher's broom. You need to be careful with the latter, because its other name is prickly. Gentle descent, fresh coolness of the water and call to plunge into the hot Crimean days. It is also convenient here for divers - in some places the depth reaches five to six meters.

This place reaches its maximum popularity in April and May. May holidays are days when both Crimean residents and visitors aspire to relax on the lake. There are plenty of areas where you can set up tents. The clean air is diluted with the aromas of flowering shrubs and trees. The mountain lake Ai-Yefim has not yet begun to shallow. Interrupting each other, local birds chirp in the whole bird's throat. It is hard not to call the whole area paradise.

It is best to bring food and drink with you. Firewood can be found nearby, but carefully, choosing only dry branches. Some tourists bring gas burners. If someone arrived for a couple of hours, but charmed, decided to stay for several days, without having a tent, he will not remain without an overnight stay. Residents of the neighboring village with the elegant name Kiparisnoe will only be glad of such a misunderstanding. They are always ready to offer rooms to travelers.

Summer Mountain Lake Ai-Yefim is noticeably shallower. The reason for this is the almost complete absence of rain and the work of the locals in their native gardens. They observe the irrigation regime, which starts in spring and ends in autumn. A shallow water body cannot boast of water transparency. Fishing also went wrong here. Of course, those who like to sit with a fishing rod are present, but not in large numbers. These places are for romantic-minded travelers and photographers, and now, thanks to modern telecommunication technology, almost everyone is fond of photography. Hunters love to come here even before picnics.

As easy as pie. With this couple of words, the road to the lake can be described succinctly. We will tell you more about it. Who once drove at least along the amazingly beautiful road that leads from sunny Alushta to sunny Yalta and further, could not help but notice a store selling wine and cheese. There is a staircase next door that leads to the destination. However, tourists are in no hurry to start the ascent right away. You need to look into the outlet and take something from the assortment presented there with you.

But now the shopping is over. A little effort to overcome the stairs, and then here it is desired: beauty, relaxation, freedom! One could stop at this, but the mountain lake Ai-Efim will not forgive if it is not told about another mood that it gives us. So, if you go a little higher from the reservoir, you can see opencast mines where natural stone is mined. Nearby are dumps or waste heaps - satellites of all quarries. One should not be lazy, climb to the dump, see the beloved sea far below, the famous rocks, cozy resorts and say: “Hey, South Coast! I look at you from above, and this is ah! ".

V 380 meters above sea level, between famous resort centers of the South Crimea, Utes and Partenit, there is a tiny lake with interesting the name Ai-Efim. With firewood, things are simpler- fortunately, there is a lot of vegetation around, including one that is ideal for breeding fire.

A little to the right of the store there is a staircase leading to the village of Kiprisnoe. All the time you need to climb the stairs up, so you can get to the lake. Or you can ask the locals for directions or use GPS coordinates that are on our website.
If you still go up, then you can get to waste heaps - a building stone is being mined. The waste heaps themselves are not particularly interesting, but stunning views of the Black Sea and Mount Ayu-Dag open up from there.
The height above sea level is 380 meters, the depth of the lake is 5-10 meters, it is fed by underground sources.

V May days, however, as in other months of the year, it is not too windy here, so for the reliability of the installed tents worry once again not worth it. Whatever it was, but in the spring there are most tourists on the reservoir. But in the summer - in hot months - the water in the lake becomes scarce, it loses its transparency, acquires unclear shade... Therefore, July and August are not the best periods to visit this reservoir. Especially if you want to go fishing.

However, fishing is still not the main reason that attracts vacationers to the shores of Ai-Efim. For fish catching on South Bank Crimea there are much more attractive places. And this lake is the dream of a romantic, tired of fussy urban life. This is an amazing corner where Crimean nature presented in all its perfect splendor... Mountains covered with forests and shrubs, warm water, comfortable, gentle banks ... a little above - waste heaps, where mine building stone. They offer a wonderful view of the Ayu-Dag Mountain and the Black Sea.
