By the way, we immediately notice that there are very few young people among the residents of Sedovo. Most of eager to study in Donetsk. They justify this by the fact that there are more prospects and opportunities in the capital of the Republic.
We find housing in fifteen minutes. And in the summer, if you don't book it in advance, you have to wander for hours in search. We chose a house with air conditioning, TV, and most importantly - on the seashore. Another plus is that the shower and toilet are private. For such a number they ask for a thousand rubles per day. It can accommodate three people. Prices in the first half of June will not go up significantly.
The owners of boarding houses, small courtyards and recreation centers told "Komsomolskaya Pravda" approximate prices for the coming season. It's not difficult to find anything in Sedovo. Everything is located side by side here. This village is what we like. If you want to go to the museum, you don't have to go far - it is in the very center. Then to the store? Not a problem - half a minute from the museum. From the store it is a minute to the market and the pharmacy, and the village administration is located here. And then you can go to the library - also a minute walk. This is for those for whom the book is still interesting, not old-fashioned.
So, leaving the administration, we go to the supermarket to skimp on dinner. At the same time, we will find out the prices. We immediately notice that here they are higher than in Donetsk. Compare with the "First Republican Supermarket".
The price of cucumbers is surprising - ninety rubles per kilogram. This is approximately forty rubles more expensive than in the capital of the Republic. Garlic and frozen fillets are fifty rubles more expensive. The prices for alcohol are also overpriced, but for flour, milk, salt, sugar, onions and bread - they do not differ significantly.
After shopping, we return to the boarding house. Already here we are advised to buy products from the market. There, prices are cheaper and almost everything is homemade.
Advantages and disadvantages
The evening is given to the battle. Fight mosquitoes. There are really a lot of them here. Before the trip, be sure to stock up on funds from little "bloodsuckers". There are also positive aspects. Pleases the noise of the night surf, the smell of sea freshness and the starry sky.
In the morning, as we were advised, we go to the market. It is better to come to the shops no later than five or six hours, right after dawn. At this time, the "stars" of trade arrive, which are sold out very quickly, as it turned out.
Food prices are reasonable. Strawberries - two hundred and thirty rubles per kilogram. Eggs - fifty per ten, onions - thirty, sour cream - one hundred per half-liter glass, young potatoes - sixty per kilogram.

Therefore, many citizens have two or three telephones: Phoenix, MTS and Life. 
The beaches are stretched for 10 kilometers and are separated by fishermen's buildings, dams, and sanatoriums. 
In the center of Sedovo, the beaches are shell-like, if you drive off three or four kilometers, they are sandy. It's clean everywhere. 
Agitation 
If there is a stall or cafe on the beach, then businessmen take care of the territory, everything else is cleaned by utilities. Anatoly and Alexander, whom I met, only this year opened a tent on the beach. This is a profitable business, there are more and more people every day. Products are being brought from Russia. 
People are sincerely happy about the long-awaited vacation. For the two years of the war, many allowed themselves for the first time. 
“We used to vacation in Turkey and Egypt,” says Elizaveta from Gorlovka. - Now we are happy that at least we came here. You can't even hear the shots here. And we still have cannonballs every night. I called my mother today, she says that again they spent the night in the basement. 
Stories like this are here under every parasol. About how they were hiding with their children from bombing in the field, that they had to lie down on the ground "with their head to a flying projectile", how they lost their relatives, friends, neighbors. 
Abandoned rusty fishing infrastructure all along the coast. Some enterprises were closed back in Peaceful time, part - during hostilities. 
Now there are several workshops. But until the fall, a spawning ban on fishing is in effect. In any case, tourism now brings the residents of the village much more money than fishing. 
But such surreal landscapes are obtained. 
The biggest problem in Sedovo is housing. The infrastructure here was very bad even before the war. Most of the holidaymakers settle in the private sector. Local residents are converting everything they can into housing: sheds, chicken coops, attics, verandas. Shower and toilet are outside, the summer kitchen is shared. Everything is like in Soviet films about holidays in Sochi or Anapa. 
I rented a former shed with two beds for 400 rubles a day. 200 rubles per bed is average price... Everything is very clean, but stuffy and hot. My neighbors were extremely intelligent - the dean of the law faculty and an employee of Ukrenergobyt. 
They look after the morality of the guests here: my colleagues wanted to rent any shed with three beds. But they were refused: they say, it is clear what the two guys and one girl will do at night. The guys had to go to the checkpoint and spend the night in the car (otherwise it’s not possible, it’s forbidden to be on the street at curfew). 
Many sanatoriums have remained in Sedovo since Soviet times. 
Some of them were mothballed seven to ten years ago. And they look like after the bombing. 
But this one was reopened, and people live there. 600 rubles per room: three beds, water in the shower on schedule. It’s impossible to live like that, of course. But people are now happy about that too.

The prices on food stalls in Sedovo are high, as well as throughout the "republic". The most expensive are meat, fish, alcohol. Therefore, visitors try to bring with them fresh meat, sausages and alcohol from neighboring cities not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities in order to reduce the cost of rest.
Local stores are trying to control the cost of products for the so-called social group of goods: flour, cereals, pasta, bread, milk, sugar, salt. Therefore, the price of milling, cereals and dairy products does not differ much from the same Donetsk. These goods are more affordable in cost, and the difference can be from 2 to 5 rubles. (1- 2 UAH at the rate of the "Central Republican Bank of the DPR" ), sometimes even higher. Visitors note that the margin is insignificant. But the rest of the products are about 20% more expensive. The highest prices for the pocket of the average tourist are felt in the market.
In general, the cost of bread in Sedovo stores starts from 16 to 20 rubles. (7-9 UAH), the price of sugar reaches 52 rubles / kg (23 UAH), for 1.5 liters of milk on the market they ask for 50-60 rubles. (22-27 UAH).

- potatoes - 60 rubles / kg (27 UAH);

Although locals sell tomatoes for 70 rubles / kg (31 UAH), and young potatoes from 40 rubles / kg (18 UAH).

Visitors who are counting on budget vacation go shopping at the local supermarket next to the bazaar. The More supermarket resembles the ATB chain of stores. Here you can buy cheaper food, alcohol, vegetables and fruits. Therefore, a long queue of customers is usually lined up at the checkout counters of a store.
The Alkomarket store, which is popular in the uncontrolled territory, was also opened in the village. The cost of alcoholic beverages in the resort town of Sedovo is noticeably higher than in the "republic". The price of 2.5 liters of beer starts at 120 rubles. (53 UAH), and a bottle of vodka will cost travelers 160-165 rubles. (71-73 UAH) for 0, 5 l.
To swim
In addition to high prices for housing and food, another disadvantage of rest in Sedovo, visitors call the lack of clean and well-groomed beaches. As a rule, the central beaches are dirtier and more inconvenient for swimming.
To relax in a well-groomed and clean sea coast, visitors have to travel by bus to the Kos area. Every day a bus departs from the center of Sedovo, which takes tourists to a clean, remote beach along the Cliff route.- Spit. The bus runs every 30 minutes. Fare- 10 rubles. The cities open branches of the "central republican bank of the DPR", but its individual ATMs are installed only in some cities. For three years in Sedovo they were able to open only one branch of the "Central Regional Hospital" in the building of the village council. To withdraw cash from bank cards at the checkout, vacationers have to overcome a fairly long distance. At the same time, ATMs on the territory resort village none at all.

There is also a communication problem in Sedovo. The Ukrainian mobile operator MTS is completely blocked here. Although the locals say that in some places you can still find weak Ukrainian access points.
