Going on vacation in new country, a tourist always has a slight feeling of dread, especially if there is no knowledge of the language and travel experience. “What if I get lost? How can I find a hotel? " The feeling of confidence in walking can be given by a map of the tourist's recreation area. In the article you will find detailed maps of Pattaya and its areas.

In theory, Pattaya is not big resort... In the first days, you will adapt and you will be able to find your way to the hotel without the help of a map. But nevertheless, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the general map of the resort:

As you can observe on the map most of the resort is facing the sea. According to the districts, the city can be divided into the center - beach and second streets; Northern part- the tourist area with hotels ends exactly as shown on the map; the southern part is divided into Buddha Hill, shown on the map, and continues far south, for about another 15 km.

City center
Pattaya

In the central part there is large quantity hotels. On the one hand, the residents of the center are lucky - the infrastructure for tourists is the most developed here. You don't need to take a taxi, everything is within walking distance - shopping centers, markets, restaurants, cafes, Walking street - red light district, etc. On the other hand, the sea here is the most unsightly in the resort (see article The best hotels and the beaches of Pattaya)

Beach Street is facing the sea and has one-way traffic from north to south. The second street runs parallel to the beach street - but one-way traffic in the opposite direction - from south to north. Between the two main streets there are little jays - Thai-style streets.

Also in the center, at the end of Walking Street, there is a pier from which ferries sail to the nearest island of Koh Lan. The ticket price is 30 baht, the ferry schedule can be found on the map.

South - Buddha Hill and Jomtien Beach

If you look at the general map of Pattaya, Buddha Hill is located closer to the center, and the coast of Jomtien stretches to the south - all this is southern Pattaya.

Among tourists, there are a lot of fans of Buddha Hill for a vacation in Pattaya. Quite clean sea, wide beach line, prestigious quiet place, not far from the center. You still can't reach the center on foot, route transport for tourists can be provided by the hotel. Otherwise, a taxi is available to tourists.

Buddha Hill smoothly turns into the Jomtien coastline, theoretically it can also be divided into 2 parts - in the city and outside the city. The city is the part that goes along Jomtien Beach Street. Outside the city, this is the one that does not have a road along the coast. Conventionally, on the map a little further than the "Sigma" hotel.

Tourists from hotels in Jomtien, located in the city, can use the route tuk-tuk, going along the first beach street of Jomtien to the center. The fare is 10 baht per person (cost may change at the time of your arrival). But tourists who live outside the city, unfortunately, will not be able to use the route tuk-tuk, only a taxi or a shuttle bus from the hotel. But in the south of Pattaya the cleanest sea and a quiet and serene vacation.

North Pattaya - Naklua

The northern part of the resorts is called Naklua. This is a fairly prestigious part of the city, many 5 * hotels are located right here. If you are staying at a hotel by the sea and want to go shopping in the center, then you will have to take a taxi from the hotel. If you want to save some money, you can walk to Naklua Street, wait for the route tuk-tuk and take it to the center. The tourist area of the northern part ends at the Garden Hotel Sea view, to the north along the coast there are practically no hotels, a fishing village begins. The northern hotel “Cholchan” is the farthest from the center and is located on the outskirts of Pattaya.

Returning to your hotels in the evening, you can always use a previously taken business card at the hotel. This will save you from unnecessary explanations with the driver and using the map. Although, undoubtedly, a few days after arrival, you will no longer need the card!
