In September 2015, we again, for the third time, visited the familiar Kapsel campground. Have you seen desolation - September? War? Russia? There is no trace of its former popularity. There are almost no tourists. But silence! Places - at least get out, the beach is free, the swing too!

On the hill, the words "Health to Putin" have been collected from broken slate. I wonder if this is sincere or with irony? But judging by the number of visitors, the mantra didn't work.

Prices

Placing a car and a small tent costs 300 rubles per day, 1 person - 70 rubles, electricity 80 rubles, a hot shower for 5 minutes 50 rubles, a cool shower for free until 10 pm, then the showers are locked.

Dignity

The former - fast and free WiFi internet. Traditionally inexpensive. Toilets, garbage disposal, washstands, showers. Lighting. Canteen. Pebble beach. The swing is already free :) but it is already mooring upside down. A barrel, for some reason open, with dubious fresh water.

disadvantages

Confusion with marking places - the curbs are painted with different paints and go and figure out which one is correct. Local watchdogs run around (and those striving to steal something edible), conflict with the dogs of visitors, frighten with their barking and interfere with sleep. Camping would not be hurt by an electrician's work: a lot of things were ruined, sometimes I had to go to the toilet with a flashlight. It's a trifle, but you can hear extremely subjective Ukrainian TV (or radio, it's already hard to remember exactly) near the covered dining room. The cafe by the sea does not work - well, that's understandable, with so many people there is nothing to do there, not to mention the disco. But this is even better, the coast is full of places with crowds and timeless music, and I really want silence! So that only you and the sea ... Children's attractions are broken, but they continue to delight the eye with colorful trains.

And where did it all come from, because two years earlier, none of this had happened. One feels desolation and it scares, because the road down is always easier.

We wish the campground to keep its brand and survive in 2016!

Review of the best times of Kapsel - 2012-2013

One of the best campsites in Crimea and in general the best place Stops near Sudak for a quiet rest are the Kapsel autocamp, located in the tract of the same name. It is located between the Alchak and Megan capes, three kilometers east of Sudak. We present a detailed photo review about him.

This is a small fenced area where you can put a car and a tent for a very tasty price, or rent a nice house, or a room, but this is already a VIP. On a small square, surrounded by small picturesque hills, which are so pleasant to climb, there is a field with cars, houses and tents, a canteen, a cafe, a private beach and children's attractions.

You can find the campsite by following the signpost. It is located 3 km before Sudak from the side of Feodosia. But in order not to dodge and know the road, it is better to navigate by GPS coordinates:

The car can be parked next to the tent, which is a huge plus. this is not allowed in all campsites in Crimea. Even at peak tourist season(mid-August) there are tent places in Kapsel. But there is little shade, so be sure to have an awning or multi-room shade tent with you.

You will almost certainly need electricity. Capsel can provide this for a nominal fee. To do this, you need to have an extension cord of at least 50m, as well as a free tent-place within the reach of a local outlet.

On the right is a volleyball court, a trash can and relatively modern beige toilets with cubicles. Below right are older green toilets with "holes".

Food in Kapsel

You can cook food next to the tent or house. On a burner or grill. In the 2012 season, it was forbidden to make a fire near tents in Kapsel. Special places were equipped for barbecues. In 2013, this rule was removed (or was it not followed by anyone?).

You can eat in the dining room. Take inexpensive, but high-calorie complex breakfasts, lunches, dinners. Or make individual orders, more expensive.

It is unforgettable to sit at a table, hiding from the sun, to admire the sea through the greenery, and to know that your house is just a stone's throw away, and there is a car nearby, on which you can at any time rush for adventures or to Sudak for groceries.

For those traveling by car with a tent, normal food is a luxury and all diets are forgotten - an organism running through the mountains wants the first and second, otherwise tomorrow there will only be strength to lie in the sun.

Complex breakfast offered by Kapsel. Semolina, pancakes with condensed milk and a cooled coffee drink with a mysterious composition.

There is also a second cafe, right by the sea. But we didn’t reconnoitre her. There was ample dining room. Still, you can sit in a cafe at home, but in Crimea you need to look for adventure!

Sea

The beach at Kapsel Camping consists of large and medium pebbles. Only at the very shore there are a few very large stones. I would like to note that before the 2013 season, they clearly worked on the beach - they removed many large boulders and made a good safe entry. In the 2012 season, it was uncomfortable to enter the water on large slippery stones.

If you swim a little, at sunset a fabulous view of the coast, the sea, the sharp-nosed Cape Alchak, the massive Cape Meganom and the entire coast of the Kapsel tract opens up. Even just for the sake of this view, it is worth going there.

It is better to lay a rug on such pebbles, but it is so nice to lie on them under the warm sun after watching the fish in cool water!

Please bring your swimming goggles or snorkeling mask. V deep places you can admire the leisurely swaying of brown algae and observe an interesting illusion - when sandy islands meet between them, it seems that the bottom is moving, and the algae are static. In addition, there are many beautiful pebbles, half a dozen species of fish, and you can catch hermit crabs.

One of the children's attractions at the camp is the train. Unfortunately, he clearly needed tire fitting services ...

Riding on high swing boats overlooking the sea is also unforgettable. In 2012, they were free for everyone.

And in 2013 and on this they decided to "cut the dough." A trifle, but unpleasant.

Everything in this world has its price, the camping is growing and developing, the territory is guarded, the beach is being cleaned, the trees are being watered. The economy has not been canceled.

Unknown tree by the sea with tasteless fruits. As warm and southern as the sea and the warm air that swayed the thin leaves and made them rustle.

And also in Kapsel there is free unlimited WiFi Internet, which makes vacationers delighted: "I'll pump up movies for myself, pump up music!" - can be heard from the locals. There is no password for WiFi. The speed of 2-5 Mbps is stable even in the evening hours. The coverage is confident throughout the campground, for those who work on the Internet - just paradise!

There are minor inconveniences in Kapsel - the water for the shower is heated naturally in large black barrels in the sun, so it is very invigorating even in the evening. There are queues for the shower (up to 20 minutes of waiting). There are 4 types of thorns growing on the territory. But these are mere trifles compared to the fabulous beauty of this place, it is indescribably sweet and cozy.

At the entrance to the campsite, a car pass is checked every time. And even if you go through the checkpoint on foot, they still meticulously ask for the number of the tent-place or house. It's strange, because the territory of Kapsel is not fenced in any way.

Wooden houses

We advise you to rent a three-bed wooden house in Kapsel. There are few of them, about 15 pieces. They are usually busy, but we were very lucky to shoot the last one that was just vacated at the peak of the season. The houses are constantly vacated and occupied, but they refused to book by phone. This is understandable, without prepayment, this is a huge risk for camping. But they will book if someone local comes and hand over the prepayment.

The cost of the house in August 2013 was 190 hryvnia (750 rubles) per day.

The advantages of the house are obvious:

• no problems with a tent and a shadow (!!!)
• you can lock the house and leave (leave), almost without fear for things
• sockets and lighting - no need to bother with flashlights and pull on extension cords.
• sleeping on a bed with linens is more pleasant than sleeping on a rug in a sleeping bag.

You can also rent a room with a refrigerator, but it is much more expensive. And this is not "sporting" :)

Inside there are three beds with mattresses of varying degrees of freshness and clean linens (changed once a week), a folding table, a mirror, a wardrobe, two sockets. Everything. Nearby there is a place for a car and cooking. The only openable window is adhered to with a welding electrode. The door is of the simplest interior type, locked with a key for an equally simple lock. There is a lamp on the street above the door.

The beds can be moved together if you two are together.

The roof needs renovation. On the other hand, in August for two years we have never seen rain here.

Despite the popularity of this camping and a large number of vacationers, in Kapsel is quiet enough, there is no killing music, loud screams. People came here to relax. Those who need clubs, restaurants and expensive excursions are better off renting a house directly in Sudak.

In the evenings, there is a disco by the sea, but it is so thought out that its noise is directed towards the sea, so it practically does not interfere with campers.

A small world that you can only dream of at home in geometrical form the right apartments and gray drizzle outside the window.

Kapsel is beautiful even on black southern evenings under numerous stars and rare lanterns. The colorful tents are glowing comfortably ... good!

A little advice. When you check in, you will be prompted to choose a place. Look at the location of toilets and washbasins (there are several of them) and estimate the trajectory to these places in a straight line of the rest of the rest. It is advisable that your place is not passable.

Bottom line. A very popular camping, but the popularity does not interfere with having a quiet rest. There are no conflicts between vacationers, everyone is friendly to each other. Much has been thought out, but there are also many minor drawbacks. Nevertheless, we recommend this campsite to everyone as close to exemplary.

We drove away from the road. We moved to the length of the sea, then dived into the mountains, just got high from the fact that we are in the Crimea and from these Divine views. We arrived where we were in 2013. Enjoyed, rested, sunbathed. Dogs came to us, we fed them. They must have eaten well. Since we had stew prepared for the morning, we felt that the dogs needed to be given to them. And tomorrow we thought that we’ll figure it out, it’s much easier for us to find food with money than for dogs who even find it difficult to find fresh water. We liked the dogs. They were very friendly and did not take food away from each other. We ate together =)

This place was chosen without any considerations about safety, how we even thought of climbing this mountain and planting a tent there. After all, in the evening, it is obvious that silence and tranquility reigns, but what happens after dawn, I will tell you in more detail: since I have a very deep sleep, Maxim is responsible for everything that happens at this time, he got up several times, I did not notice it. And I got up for the reason that the wind began to blow the tent. How did Max get out of the situation? He tied the tent to the ropes to the motorcycle, because the bike won't blow off the center stand for no reason, so this was the only and good option. And so all night and the whole morning. At one point, Maxim woke me up to rearrange things from one side of the tent to the other. The side where I slept was lifted and almost completely turned over.

We could not stand this horror, we began to wake up.

But what are serious people doing after such nights and in such a difficult windy moment? Do not know? Here's what: they take a cape from the tent, or maybe the tent itself, and use it as a parachute. This is what we began to do - to fly along this peak, holding on to both ends with both hands. Rzhach was a lot)). They fell, got up and tried to take off again.

Oh yes, we also almost ran out of water, so Max went to explore the lake below. The distance to it is not small, I wandered for about 15 minutes. And he returned with empty bottles. To the question: "" Where is the water? Have you drunk something?)) "", I heard that something is being bred in that water, it is not clear what. Max said it looked like a shrimp. Therefore, there was only enough water for breakfast.

Collecting things, the task is not easy, when the crazy wind blows and overturns, just folded, capes. I had to repeat the same movements many times.

Today we were driving along the familiar route that we did in 2013 - it was the road to Sudak. They stopped near every familiar place and discussed what they were doing when they were already here. For example, a cafe with a wooden paneling where we ate; white columns, with the inscription "" SANATORIUM. OLD CRIMEA "", here two years ago they ate a yellow plum and wandered around the construction site, which was on the other side of the road. The building had not changed from that moment, but the plums were still green now.

We really wanted to be in the place where we had already been once. The foot of Cape Meganom, that's what we were striving for today. The tent was set up in a different place, in 2013 there was a beach densely covered with sun loungers in this place. And today it is a place full of freedom and tranquility, where, apart from us, a small camp of red tents and EVERYTHING, no one else, stood. For us, this is the most the best way recreation.

We arrived at the cape long before sunset, so we had time to swim and sunbathe. Having started cooking, two guests came to us - these two dogs looked like hyenas in their coloring. They had very hungry and sad eyes. But when we gave them part of our stew, they behaved in a very well-mannered manner, did not fight, did not take each other from each other, and they even ate bread. After looking at them, we gave them everything we had, they even ate crackers, which proved that they needed food more than we did. And we will still find ourselves.

In order not to go gray hungry, Max went to the store. I bought what was missing, and found water in the same place, there are no columns in this area.

In the evening we drank tea several more times, ate crackers with raisins, and controlled the motorcycle. He stood at the top of a cliff, the steps to the top were steep and high. Max was a little worried that his horse was so far away. Maxim chose exactly the place where he catches the keychain signal from the alarm well, and therefore our tent stood somehow strange - in the center of the entire beach. And we fixed the keychain on the ceiling of the tent and tied it to a string. Then they fell asleep.

I remember how during the formation of our tourist club, the question was raised: "What place in Crimea will we make our favorite? A patron place, a guardian place, a place of strength. A club place where we will return from year to year." There were many versions, each with their own favorite places, their own preferences. I remember, among others, Ayu-Dag sounded most often. Bear Mountain is a good hiking symbol and an interesting place to visit. But time put everything in its place. The place chose us. Over the 3.5 years of the club's existence, we have been to Meganom three times. In fact, we missed Megan only in 2011, and visited in 2010, 2012 and now in 2013. There is no place in Crimea that we visit with such frequency. Even the Chatyr-Dag plateau and the Demerdzhi plateau cannot boast of such constancy, although they are located closer and more convenient for us for hiking.

Why this place is attractive for esotericists and mystics, I already wrote in last year's report and I do not want to return to this. Although no, I will say a few words. Whoever reads me regularly knows how I feel about all sorts of places of power. I am indifferent. Good places strength, bad places forces - for me they are all the same. I don't feel any special vibrations either there or there. I feel good everywhere, I have the whole Crimea great place strength. I am also indifferent to all Krishnaites, Buddhists, Judaists, Talmudists, Taoists and other believers in all possible religions. But this is how I treat them until they creep into my soul. While on Meganom they built a sundial from pebbles, altars from pebbles, organized places of worship - everything was interesting, harmonious and did not violate the overall integrity and natural beauty. But they went too far and disfigure the cape by their actions. They started decorating with Megan. Almost all stones are painted with Buddhas, animals and abstract designs. For this, you can already tear off your hands. At this rate, they will repaint the whole Megan and turn it into an acidic incomprehensible something.

We started, traditionally, not far from the Meganom campsite and, moving along the “lower” path, went along the edge of the sea. They looked enviously at Mount Sokol, which was illuminated by the poor December sun. We were blown by sea winds in the shadow of the Urmany-Ustu mountain.

However, being strongly distracted by the surrounding views was fraught with consequences. The wet mud forced the legs to spread out in different directions, and the sea strove to reach out and "lick" the boots of the participants of the hike. But further the coast became wider and it was possible to escape from the oncoming waves. In such cases, you can choose the "upper" path, which is also passable as the "lower" one. But when did we look for the easy way?

Gone are the famous "Penitent Monks" - amazing traces of erosion.

From the edge of Kilse-Burun we looked behind the slopes of Mount Urmana-Ustu and saw the next target - Cape Meganom, coupled with the Meganom lighthouse. Everything is in place, nothing has gone anywhere. You can continue on your way.

Perhaps the most specific part of the route begins from here. Megan is revealed in all its glory. We look at it from the inside, as it were. And it is here that you realize how different he is from the rest Crimean places... He is the one and only. Unique in all its unusual beauty... And Meganom is damn picturesque. Everything is picturesque here - wastelands, bays, piles of stones in the water and on land. This place is so fantastic that for a long time you cannot understand where you are and whether it is Crimea at all?

This place is very contemplative, not tolerating fuss. But one can fully appreciate its greatness and grandeur only by starting the ascent to Cape Meganom. This is where the beauty of the bays and wastelands is revealed to the fullest. The higher you go, the better the panorama becomes, the more it will take your breath away. It is impossible to break away. He made a slight upward movement, turned around to look, got up a little more and turned around to look again. And with the climb, the feeling of delight only becomes stronger.

There is a bench at the top, from where it opens good view all over the wasteland of Meganom. And I, having sat on this bench, can assure you that getting up from it is very, very difficult. Not because you are too lazy to go further, but because contemplation is so exciting that it is absolutely impossible to look away and continue the path.

However, we are not far from the equally picturesque Meganom lighthouse.

Instead of going along the road to the military unit and bypassing the Byyuk-Okche and Kuchuk-Okche tracts, we decided to try to move to Mount Choban-Basty by the shortest route, crossing the tracts where possible. Unfortunately, we have suffered a complete fiasco. Already on the first ravine (Buyuk-Okche), we could not find a more or less suitable path to cross it comfortably. We saw how the hunters crossed the ravine, but the descent seemed not very convenient to us. We decided to climb and look for a more suitable path. But as we climbed, it became clear that we could not find a convenient way through the first ravine. Therefore, continuing to move along the trodden path, we came out ... to the military unit. Thus, they made a large detour from the lighthouse, first losing height, and then gaining it again.

The land of Cape Choban-Best is under the jurisdiction of the Sudak wind farm. Passage and passage into the territory of the wind farm is strictly prohibited.
