Vietnam is where the sea is. The best beaches in Vietnam: getting to know each other. Impressive underwater fish world

A clean, cozy, uncrowded beach and a warm, pleasant sea are such important things for every tourist and for every traveler. Let's see which of the Vietnamese beaches is worthy of attention?

Useful about Vietnam

About the beaches of Vietnam

We will compare the beaches of 4 Vietnamese resorts: Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An and Mui Ne. We lived in Nha Trang and Hoi An for many months, in Fukuoka and Mui Ne we stayed only for a few days. Therefore, we give the most complete information, of course, only for the first two resorts. Please, if you have anything to say, make additions in the comments to this post.

Hoi An city

A small town with a lot of history. A very beautiful center, a sea of small temples and museums. This city is almost unknown to our tourists, and I was even scolded once for telling everyone about this wonderful city (quote: "Russian tourists will come in large numbers and they will spoil everything, let it be better to sit in Mui Ne"). I don't know where Russian tourists get such a dislike for Russian tourists, but I continue to praise Hoi An and its magnificent beach.

Hoi An Beach

The best time to visit, in our opinion: from May (maybe April) to August.

Pros of a Vietnamese beach in Hoi An

  1. long coastline, gently sloping entrance, nice sand, in moderation clear water(not perfectly transparent, do not forget that this is the South China Sea, perfect transparency is simply impossible here);
  2. clean and not crowded.

Minuses

  1. It is located far from the city center (where most of the hotels are concentrated), so you either need to rent a bike (ride 10 minutes) or take a taxi or walk on foot while exploring the city at the same time.

The town of Hoi An is very cute, we did not live in the city itself, but almost in the rice fields :)) we rented a room from the Vietnamese:

Therefore, we got to the city itself once or twice a week, but still in 3 months we managed to see all the coolest places, which we will write about a little later.

City map

Click on the menu icon in the upper left corner.

Nha Trang city

When we were in Nha Trang: August - October `13, December` 13, January - March `14, July - December` 14.

The best time to visit, in our opinion, is from February / March to September.

This city, however, like Mui Ne, is extremely popular among our compatriots. Russian signs, Russian menus - sometimes it seemed that you were not in Vietnam, but in Sochi. The city has both pluses and minuses, but it seemed to us that there are much more pluses. We fell in love with Nha Trang with all our hearts for the beautiful city center, very cheap food and housing (do not forget that we do not live as tourists, but as locals), for the friendly staff of any place wherever we turn, for a large number of interesting places, and most importantly, for a good beach.

pros

  1. the city beach is moderately clean, comfortable, not very crowded during the day;
  2. the entrance is shallow, there are no sea creatures, stones and large shells;
  3. the sand is pleasant, not contaminated with small stones, leaves or grass;
  4. due to the long and wide coastline, tourists are evenly distributed along the beach, without interfering with each other;
  5. coma city beach there are several more beaches near the city and on the islands (all information on them in a separate post, the link is given above).

This is a city beach:

This is Zoklet beach (located a few kilometers from the city):

Minuses

  1. Perfect cleanliness is not about Nha Trang. To tune in to a European-level resort is to ruin your vacation. This is Vietnam, the local population has a peculiar attitude to cleanliness, so if the shore is not cleaned up in time, you will be unhappy. Look big photo, the benefit of them in our blog and in general on the Internet is the sea. Negative reviews mainly come from those who lived on the Zoklet beach and studied that territory well: the beach itself is very cool, clean and comfortable, but it is worth moving away from it a little and there is already a trash can. Conclusion: do not leave and you will be satisfied :)
  2. In the evenings, the city beach becomes crowded: the Vietnamese have picnics, relax and swim.

We have seen many beaches in Southeast Asia and if you are interested in our opinion, then we highly recommend lying on the beaches of Nha Trang, but strictly from March to September. It’s not so cool in other months.

In great detail about all the beaches of Nha Trang

Nha Trang Map

Phu Quoc island

When we were on the island: November '13

The best time to visit, in our opinion: never)) well, or in 2-3 years, when everything will be completed there.

Visiting Phu Quoc Island was perhaps our biggest mistake during our travels. In short, the island can be described as follows: an actively developing resort, which now consists mainly of some construction sites and garbage cans. It is worth going there only when there is at least one large store, at least one good restaurant, at least one completed road and at least 10 times less garbage. At the end of 2013, this was not there. The prices are greatly overpriced, the level of service is greatly understated. However, you may be interested in that there are many beautiful places with unspoiled nature. Now only the coastal areas of the island are developed, so if you go inland, you will see forests and fields, there are almost no people there. There is state reserve Phu Quoc National Park, which is highly praised. We talked in detail about the island itself here:

As it seemed to us, the only plus of Phu Quoc Island is Long Beach.

Pros of a Vietnamese beach on Phu Quoc Island

  1. it is long (albeit rather narrow), the coast is shallow;
  2. the sand is very delicate, and I wanted to bury myself in it and forget;
  3. crowded, but in moderation, no one bothers anyone;
  4. the coast is clean, it is clear that it is taken care of and often cleaned;
  5. well-groomed houses, lawns, flowers and bushes pleasantly complement the rest, I wanted to sunbathe - sunbathe, I wanted to relax in the shade - hide under a palm tree on the lawn.

Minuses

  1. concrete barriers designed to prevent sand from eroding. They, apparently, are very necessary, but it is very easy to break a leg about them (they are not in the pictures below, see the detailed one);
  2. there is absolutely no feeling of freedom and spaciousness, a narrow strip good sand- this is not something worth going all the way from Russia.

When we expressed our negative opinion about the island on Facebook, we received in response 2 photos from the beach of the Canary 3 * hotel (the girl was vacationing on Phu Quoc Island in 2012 and was very pleased with it):

The sewage pipe and sticks sticking out of the water also delighted the girl:

Well, to each his own.

Mui Ne

When we were in: January`14

Best time to visit: November to April.

Tourist area in the south of Vietnam. It is called the paradise of kitesurfers. And it is also a very popular vacation spot for our compatriots, therefore, like in Nha Trang, there are many Russian signs and in every cafe there is a menu in Russian. Prices are overpriced only for housing, but not for food in cafes. The food is very tasty and satisfying. Mui Ne is one street. Seriously. Just one long street.

We were in Mui Ne only for a few days and were not satisfied with it.

After this article, someone agreed with our opinion about bad beaches, someone thought that our photos were unreal (they even expressed the opinion that the chickens were painted on :)) and talked about their own great rest... We asked around friends and acquaintances, looked for information on the net and made small excursion with specific facts and figures. Only photos of the beaches will be shown here, only liked / disliked about the hotels will be said. To make it easier to navigate, we now have a map where expensive hotels are marked in green, hotels from $ 50 - in yellow, and from $ 12 - in red.

Expensive hotels

Only one person (who at first scolded me, but later turned out to be a very good interlocutor and now also our subscriber) spoke about his experience of staying in an expensive hotel. Most of the other people vacationed in Mui Ne on a more budgetary basis.

Romana Resort & Spa

Hotel: liked it

Cost: $ 3,760 for a few days. Private house with private pool and breakfast.

Beach: liked

Visiting time: Spring 2014

Quote: “The beach is constantly guarded and is closely monitored for the safety of the guests. The shore is constantly cleaned during the day, especially during stormy waves. We had a gorgeous Honeymoon v beautiful hotel with great furnishings and excellent service. And, by the way, about the fact that all beaches are similar ( comment on our photos) - a deep lie! How many of them were bypassed, everywhere it was clean and beautiful, they did not stumble upon the unkempt ”.

Hotels from $ 50 per day.

1. Haiau Resort

Hotel: did not like

Cost: unknown, but now the prices are: $ 50 per day.

Beach: disliked

Time of visit: December 2013 - January 2014

Quote: “When we were choosing a hotel, no one could definitely advise anything, and the forums did not say anything about the case. From the advantages: the hotel was created for surfers, separate houses (rooms), in the area the prices are much lower for food, things than in the center, New Year's concert. Disadvantages: the rooms are very old, not cleaned - only the towel is changed, far from resort area, the coastline is very dirty (everything is in shells, jellyfish, they clean the fish right there, the smell is appropriate) ”.

3. Central beach of Mui Ne

Information on the beach only.

Time of visit: December 2013

Quote: “If you are going to Mui Ne with a child, and even during the kiting season, keep in mind that you will swim mainly in the pool. There is another option - to rent a hotel not in the center of the Russian beach, but not far from the Red Dunes in Mui Ne. There are several luxury hotels there. There are noticeably fewer waves, and the sea is cleaner. You can already swim there with your child. " Another quote: “It was practically impossible to swim on the central beach. Honestly, even in calm weather, there was no desire to land and rest at all. There is a lot of rubbish there, the sea is unclear and dirty ”.

Author of quotes and photos.

Hotels from $ 12 per day

1. Rang Dong Resort

Hotel: disliked

Cost: $ 12 and $ 16 per day.

Beach: disliked

Time of visit: January 2014

This is our hotel and our beach, we wrote about them in more detail in the post about Mui Ne. There are only a couple of photos here.

On our beach roosters and hens grazed.
Later we were assured that this could not be in Mui Ne. Probably, they are right, only we had chickens, ducks walked at other points. Very nice.

Cost: $ 16 per day.

Beach: liked

Time of visit: March 2014

“Outside the gate was the sea. It is difficult to call this place a beach, there were round fishing boats and nets were drying. Moving a little further it was possible to swim. And in the evenings by the sea it was just splendid palms, stars, the sound of waves and - no one is around. What a miracle this place! "

Source of quotes and photos.

3. Sunrise Village

Hotel: liked it

Cost: $ 18 per day.

Beach: disliked

Time of visit: May 2013

“We will also think over the location of the future hotel. It seems like the place we had was not so hot. But let's say, almost right behind our hotel, the coast paved with concrete began. Some may like it, some may not. "

And a few more photos of Mui Ne.

Vietnam is a country that is gaining popularity in the field of beach tourism. The coast is amazingly beautiful here. Travel agencies offer a lot great places for relax. But before the vacation, many begin to worry about the question, where in Where is the best place to go in this country? There are noteworthy spots both in the north and in the south, so the choice is quite wide.

North beaches of Vietnam

The coast of the northern region is not very popular with guidebook compilers, but find there interesting places for a beach holiday is quite possible. The difference between the north and the south and the central region is that locals prefer to rest here. For example, Bai Chai Beach, a northern beach near the capital. If you come to see Vietnam, white sand beaches interest you as much as the country's cities. So, going to Bai Chai Beach, you can successfully combine a relaxing holiday on the beach with excursions to the sights of Hanoi. In addition, Halong Bay deserves attention. The rocky islands surrounding the bay allow for scenic boat trips, and the small beaches are good for sunbathing and swimming, and for watching the amazingly beautiful sunset.

Central beaches of Vietnam

In this part of the country, it is worth visiting China Beach, located between Da Nang and Hoi An. If you go on vacation between May and October, you will surely enjoy this beach. A clean one will delight any tourist, and surfers will love the waves. Despite its infamous notoriety - this is where the Americans first landed during the war - China Beach is a great resort with top-notch service. Not far from Hoi An there is another wonderful beach - Lang Ko. This place is included in the thirty best beaches in the world. The reasons for this high rating are simple: soft and clean sand, clear sea water, picturesque green mountains and lush tropical vegetation around. It was here that the kings of the Nguyen dynasty built their residences, and this says a lot. Finally, the place with the best sunsets in Asia. The resorts here will suit wallets of all sizes, so the glory of the new Phuket is being prophesied for this island.

South beaches of Vietnam

It is best to go to the south of the country from December to May. During the summer and autumn months, there is a rainy season associated with constant typhoons and rainstorms. While exploring the beaches of Vietnam for a relaxing getaway, try Vung Tau. This is one of the most popular local resorts, located near Ho Chi Minh City. Nha Trang is no less famous. This place combines the natural beauty with the comforts of a small town located here. In addition, thirty kilometers from here there is the picturesque Dock Leth Beach - a secluded beach where you can go to take a break from the crowd. Here, in Nha Trang, perfect place and for diving. There are specialized equipment stores in the city. Here you can choose an instructor of different qualifications.

We describe and compare the best resorts and beaches in Vietnam - famous and not so famous. Reviews of tourists and personal experience from travels around the country. Map of Vietnam in Russian with resorts. Choose where it is better to go to rest!

What resorts in Vietnam can you have a good rest? Let's try to figure it out by considering the most popular tourist destinations in the country.

Resorts of Vietnam:

Nha Trang

When to go. Best time to relax in Nha Trang in the spring and summer... The rainy season begins in October - strong winds blow and the sea is rough. In winter, it is uncomfortable because of the waves, but they are not always there. We rested in the winter - this is a great time for excursions and trips around the neighborhood!

How to book a hotel? Find for yourself convenient option accommodation is possible on the well-known service Roomguru.ru - the site compares prices of various booking systems and finds the best one.

Cam Ranh

Cam Ranh is a small seaside village located in the bay of the same name. The most famous beach is Bai Zai; people often come here from neighboring Nha Trang.

The beach is only 30 meters wide, but very long, with fine sand and a gentle entrance. There are restaurants and hotels on the shore, and on the beach you can rent a sun lounger with an umbrella and go water skiing.

When to go. The climate is the same as in Nha Trang, so come in spring and summer.

Phu Quoc

Where is it better to go to Vietnam if you want a relaxing beach holiday? Phu Quoc Island - quiet resort, diving and snorkeling center. , interesting underwater world, clean water and warm climate. The infrastructure is actively developing, but there is no nightlife, and there are few attractions. Although, that will not leave you indifferent.

Mui Ne and Phan Thiet

The narrow 17-kilometer resort area between Phan Thiet and the fishing village of Mui Ne is simply called Mui Ne. This is a jumble of hotels, souvenir shops, bokeh (seafood cafes), travel agencies and pharmacies. Most of the hotels are located on the first line. The best beaches occupied by expensive hotels, the plots are worse - by budget ones. We didn't like Mui Ne beaches - they are mostly dirty. There is shallow water and waves everywhere, so you don't buy. But in the district there are interesting sights: red and white dunes, Fairy Creek.

When to go. There is no strong climatic swing here, as on northern resorts Vietnam. However, it is best to rest during the dry period - from November to April... Strong winds blow most of the time, which is why kiters and surfers love this place. They prefer to rest from January to March, when there are high waves at sea. From April to the end of autumn, the sea becomes a little calmer.

Da Nang

Among Russians, this resort in Vietnam is almost unknown (everyone goes to Nha Trang, Mui Ne and Phu Quoc), Vietnamese rest here. The city is large and modern, with spacious streets and not too dense traffic, so it is convenient to learn to ride a bike.

The best beaches in Da Nang with white sand and a gentle entrance to the sea are Bak Mi An and Mi Khe. The entrance is free, the infrastructure is well developed. The coastal strip is wide and long, you can collect many beautiful shells.

A small minus is the remoteness of the center from the tourist area. There are no large supermarkets on the coast. There are no city buses, you need to go to the center by bike or taxi.

When to go. High season is short - it's better to rest from April to June when it is already warm enough and there are low waves on the sea. It rains from summer until the end of the year, and winds rage in winter. We rested in Da Nang in winter: the city and the beach were deserted, but this has its own charm. A strong wind was blowing, the sea was rising big waves, a red flag was displayed on the beaches, sometimes it rained. V low season almost all cafes in the tourist zone are closed, and sometimes it is not easy to find inexpensive food: Vietnamese, seeing lonely tourists, break prices.

If you are looking for where it is better to relax in Vietnam with children, then pay attention to Hoi An - the entrance to the sea there is shallow. The best beach is An Bang (the other, Cua Dai, has been destroyed by sea erosion and is being restored). Beaches with fine light sand and well-developed infrastructure in some places. Parking is paid.

Hoi An has beautiful ancient architecture. It is convenient to visit the Marble Mountains from the city - we, for example, went there on bicycles (rent costs only $ 1 per day).

Of the minuses - Hoi An is on the river, and you need to drive several kilometers to the nearest beach. Tourists prefer to live near the Old Town, although it is possible to settle by the sea.

When to go. The best time - from February to May. In the fall, hurricanes rage and floods occur.

Halong

A beach vacation in Vietnam is also possible in the bay of the same name in Halong. The beaches on the islets are mostly made of imported sand, and the water is often muddy, but most tourists come here to admire the wonderful islets.

In the city of Halong itself, there is not much to do, except to walk along beautiful waterfront with gorgeous views of the bay, observe the inhabitants of floating villages, admire the sunsets and climb the mountain of Poets Bai Tu, from where a panorama of the city and the bay opens.

When to go. The best time for excursions is from December to the end of May when it's dry and warm, for a beach holiday - in April, May, September and October... The rainy season is from June to September. We lived in Halong in January, and although the sun was often warming, the cold wind prevented the thought of a beach holiday.

Katba

Picturesque green Island, located in the bay of Halong Bay, the largest in the archipelago. The beaches are most often nondescript with yellowish-brown sand, but clean, without debris and algae. The main attractions for tourists in the resort are island cruises and excursions to the local national park.

When to go. It is stormy in summer on Katba, so it is better to rest in the fall.

It is a small seaside town with a densely built up coastal strip and oil-producing enterprises. The city has beaches - narrow, with muddy and frothy water due to the close proximity to the Mekong and strong winds.

The infrastructure is developed: there are restaurants, hotels, entertainment, shops. However, even the locals prefer Long Hai or Mui Ne, where the beaches are better. If you want a good beach holiday, you better go to popular resorts Vietnam: Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Mui Ne or Danang.

When to go. November to April. In winter, high waves rise, which are popular with kiters. The rainy season is from May to October.

(Photo © vitieubao / pixabay.com)

The island is good for secluded relaxation and ecotourism, it is called the best resort in Vietnam for diving. There are unique species of plants and animals, such as sea cows and green turtles.

The tourist infrastructure is poorly developed, there are no large shopping centers and few hotels. The island itself is rocky, most of the coast is steep shores. In the eastern part of the island there are several sandy beaches, all sparsely populated and semi-wild.

When to go. Perfect time for a beach holiday at Con Dao from December to April, for diving - from February to July.

For your convenience, we have compiled a map of all popular resorts in Vietnam.

Where better to go to rest in Vietnam

Each resort in Vietnam is good in its own way. Hungry for new experiences and active entertainment it is worth going to Nha Trang, Halong, Hoi An and Da Nang. The islands are suitable for lovers of natural attractions and diving. For families with children in Vietnam, it is better to choose resorts with good hotels 4-5 * and entertainment - these are Phu Quoc, Hoi An and Nha Trang.

If you have decided where it is better to go on vacation in Vietnam, we advise you to find out, when is it better to fly there.

Vietnam is one of the "rice civilizations" with ancient Buddhist temples lost in the jungle, underground guerrilla tunnels and a rich colonial heritage perfectly preserved from French times. Vietnam is Thailand 20 years ago, not yet trampled by millions of tourists. “Fun, bright, inexpensive” - this is how the local resort life can be described in three words. Incendiary discos until the morning, forbidden pleasures, excellent shopping, unthinkable exotic dishes ... Or a relaxing holiday with children, romantic sunsets, mountain hikes and best photos for memory. You choose what you like.

How to get there?

From Moscow to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City regular flights"Aeroflot" or "Vietnam Airlines" fly about 9 hours. And this is the only moment that can confuse beach lovers in winter. Our fellow citizens do not need a visa to Vietnam. And if you want to see more in one trip, it is logical to combine vacation in Vietnam with visiting neighboring countries - China, Laos, Cambodia, Burma or Thailand. Where better to rest - more on that later.

Which resort to choose?

If you fly now or in the coming months, then a rest without rain is most likely in the south and in the center of the country. These are popular resorts: Phu Quoc Island, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Danang. Focus on a flight to Ho Chi Minh City or Nha Trang, depending on the selected resort. January and February are "velvet" months, comfortable rest, air and water + 25 ... + 28 ° С. In March and April it is hot and dry, the temperature is + 30 ... + 35 ° С. In the summer months, it is better to choose the resorts of North Vietnam with a flight to Hanoi. And now we will briefly describe the most popular and rated resorts in the country, where you should go first.

Nha Trang

Nha Trang and its antipode Phan Thiet tops the rating of preferences Russian tourists... Nha Trang Bay occupies the honorable 29th place in the world ranking of the most beautiful resort bays. Nha Trang (Russians with Of the Far East they say "nishtyang") is rapidly growing and developing, new hotels of international hotel chains appear every year. Lots of restaurants, shops, colorful markets, a beautiful resort promenade. You won't be bored. After or instead of the beach, you can go boating to the neighboring islets - watch monkeys or hang out for the whole day in an amusement park. Temple complexes, Buddha statues, pagodas - the cultural component of the resort. And you can improve your health in local mud baths and thermal baths. There are many European youth in Nha Trang, worthy clubs with fashionable DJs, a good choice inexpensive alcohol. Several disadvantages: most hotels on the second line; locals come to the city beach, which is used by most tourists, in the late afternoon, they like to relax here with children after work. And in the summer months, there are many jellyfish near the coast.

Phan Thiet

The complete opposite of Nha Trang. Relaxed, democratic, inexpensive. Most of the hotels are two- or three-story cottages on the shore, nestled in palm groves. Here everyone is smiling at each other, there are no crowds on the beaches, only the sea, the sun and a light fresh breeze. If slippers (they are also "flip flops"), shorts and a white panama are your style of leisure, but you want to forget about the dress code even for a while - you are definitely here. Tourists come with children, because it is inexpensive, sandy beaches and the entrance to the water is shallow. Couples find romantic sunsets and time to be together in Phan Thiet. Here lovers of large portions of seafood enjoy ice-cold beer, and local masseuses will make them see the "sky in diamonds" with their little hands. There are no particularly interesting attractions in Phan Thiet and the surrounding area. Tourists weary of the sun prefer to dilute idle lying on the sand aquatic species sports. And the minus is perhaps the only one. From the nearest airport in Ho Chi Minh City it will take 5-6 hours to get to the resort by bus or taxi.

Mui Ne

Neighbor Phan Thiet, this resort is loved by lovers active rest... Thanks to the constant wind, there is an ideal wave for surfers and kiters and dozens of specialized schools with professional instructors. Prices are tolerable: an hour of windsurfing costs about $ 50, kitesurfing - $ 70. Many speak Russian, there are several establishments where you will be treated to borscht and dumplings. However, the prices at the resort are higher than in Phan Thiet, again thanks to the large number of our tourists. On the central street Mui Ne at your service spa and massage parlors, cafes and souvenir shops.

Phu Quoc

A resort island in the very south of the country, in the Gulf of Thailand, just 15 km from the coast of Cambodia. Taking into account the size of the island (the most big Island Vietnam the size of Singapore) there is a lot to turn around. Active tourists choose jungle trekking, kayaking and canoeing, walks in numerous gardens and parks, excursions to pearl factories. And diving in coastal waters is considered the most interesting and inexpensive in the country. But the main natural wealth of the island is the magnificent sandy beaches stretching for many kilometers. There are still very few tourists on the island, although the infrastructure is rapidly developing. Hotels, casinos, golf courses, shopping and entertainment complexes are under construction, new airport... But today it is still calm, clean and so far inexpensive resort... The best place for a quiet family or romantic getaway not found in Vietnam.

Vung Tau

Popular family resort 130 km from Ho Chi Minh City. It is almost as large and known as Nha Trang, only the stormy night life is missing here. But in the evening you can while away the time in bars with live music, which is a rarity in Vietnam. The beaches are wide, sandy; in the former villas of the French aristocracy, restaurants and guest houses are now open. The choice of hotels is also decent, for every taste and budget. Buddhist temples, pagodas, parks, former royal residence, caves and underground tunnels - there is where to walk and what to see. There are two drawbacks: petty theft on beaches and the presence of oil rigs in the water area.

Condao

"Let's catch up and overtake Thai Phuket!" - something like this can be voiced the ambitions of the Vietnamese tourist authorities on the islands of this archipelago in the South China Sea. The first description of the islands belongs to Marco Polo, and Conchon (the old name of Con Dao) got its notorious fame thanks to the most terrible prison for political prisoners in Vietnam. Today it is a young resort with beautiful beaches and the best hotel complex Six Senses. Most of the island is National park, many interesting dive sites and fishing spots.

Dalat

A popular international mountain climatic resort in the south of the country, 300 km from Ho Chi Minh City. These places are reminiscent of the French Alps with their mild climate and natural beauty. And it was built during the French colonization of Indochina as a mountain refuge from the sweltering heat. It is cooler here than on the coast, and the daytime temperature, even in the hottest summer months, does not exceed 25 ° C, and at night it drops to a comfortable 15 ° C. From November to April - dry season, it is better to come at this time. Dalat can be compared to Balinese Ubud. Here are the best spas and massage parlors in the country, as well as several options for treatment and recovery with traditional oriental methods. These are acupuncture, Vietnamese herbal massage, Indian massage, Tibetan face and body massage practices with warm basalt stones. And Dalat has the best Vietnamese and French themed restaurants. As souvenirs, tourists buy the famous Luwak coffee (the palm marten has already eaten with its beans), artichoke tea, ceramic dishes inlaid with mother-of-pearl, and premium quality silk products. It is logical to combine Dalat with a vacation on the beaches of Nha Trang and a few nights in Ho Chi Minh City.

Da Nang and Hoi An

Most Popular seaside resorts Central Vietnam. Best season for a beach holiday - March and April. Da Nang has a modern international airport, the city is the fourth largest and industrial center of Vietnam. Nevertheless, it is very picturesque, there are several nice beaches, including the famous China Beach - a place for youth parties and surf stations. And 40 km away is located cozy town Hoi An with a huge number of temples, pagodas, art salons, silk and souvenir shops. This is a city-museum, only 844 are officially registered in it. historical monument... Here you should try authentic Vietnamese cuisine and inexpensively replenish your summer wardrobe with handmade silk things, sewn literally in your presence. The ancient imperial capital of the country - the city of Hue - a place of pilgrimage for tourists, history lovers and adventurers a la Indiana Jones, is a few hours drive from Da Nang.

Halong and Haiphong

Halong Bay is very beautiful and unusual place in the north of Vietnam. From Hanoi you can get by bus or taxi in 3-4 hours (150 km). If you've watched the movie Avatar by James Cameron, then the rocks of Halong will remind you of the floating blocks of the planet Pandora. Only in Halong do they bizarrely stick out of the turquoise waters of the bay. It is best to spend a few days in Halong on board a wooden cruise ship. So you can swim to your heart's content in warm and clean water, visit the most beautiful and interesting places, buy authentic souvenirs in the floating village, go down to the mysterious caves on the shore and take the best selfies of your life. And don't forget to try the local delicacy - sweet and sour fish baked in sugar. Halong is also famous for filming Indochina, starring Catherine Deneuve, and Tomorrow Never Dies, starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Haiphong is a cozy resort town near Halong. It reminds Hanoi of twenty years ago with its clean flowering boulevards, colonial houses and unhurried pace of life. In addition to good shopping, the city has many temples, inexpensive restaurants, and a decent zoo. Due to its proximity to Hanoi, Halong and Haiphong are convenient to visit in one trip together with a stopover for a few days in the country's capital.

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City

The description of the resorts will be incomplete without mentioning the main megacities of Vietnam, which are usually visited by almost all tourists, because they are also the country's air gates. These cities are definitely worth your attention and at least a short study visit.

Hanoi is the capital of the country. This city will not leave anyone indifferent: old French houses are buried in greenery, and ancient temples stand a stone's throw around the corner. Stop the rickshaw for a ride along the city boulevards, and watch the Theater on the Water show in the evening. Dine at a national restaurant, and in the morning go to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum for a photo, take a look at the Temple of Literature and marvel at the grace of the One Pillar Pagoda and throw a coin into the Lake of the Returned Sword. And if you have time and energy, go for a short trip to the mountains to the former French resort of Sapa. In one day in Sapa, you can feel all four seasons, enjoy the natural beauty, see the unique Tafin Underwater Palace and Thak Bak Silver Falls. And the most courageous and hardy will be able to climb highest peak Indochina Mount Fansipan (3,143 m).

Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon, as locals and American tourists call it out of habit - main city South Vietnam. Saigon is interesting during the day and does not sleep at night. Colonial buildings of the last century peacefully coexist with skyscrapers, shopping centers and office buildings. You will be impressed by the ex Presidential palace and interesting finds of local designers can be bought on the street of Dong Hoi boutiques. For lovers military history it will be interesting to go down into the Ku Chi guerrilla tunnels, and families with children will appreciate river walk along the Mekong with lunch and a visit to the snake nursery.
