History

In January 1948, round-the-clock regular flights began on the lines Irkutsk - Bodaibo - Yakutsk, Irkutsk - Moscow. In December 54, the airport received the status of "international" by the resolution of the Council of Ministers. On September 15, 56, a Tu-104 jet plane, which was performing a technical flight from Beijing, first landed at the airfield.
