Perhaps 2016 was the brightest and most productive year in terms of mutual cooperation!

The time is long ago when aircrafts from Russian manufacturers were used for transportation across the Russian sky. And there is nothing wrong with that: times have changed - the requirements for passenger transportation have also changed. Various foreign companies offer their aircraft products, which differ in technological parameters. And the passenger is given the right to choose: how to fly?

One of these aircraft, which masters the skies of Russia, is the CRJ200.

History of creation

The appearance of aircraft of this class dates back to 1976. Then Canadair acquired the rights to develop its Challenger from LearJet. The project to increase the length of the fuselage for a greater passenger capacity up to 24 seats was named "Challenger 610E".

But the project was not completed, and its development was postponed until 1981. Although the very idea of increasing passenger capacity was not forgotten.

And in 1987, a program for the design of an enlarged aircraft was launched, which by the spring of 1989 made it possible to approach the creation of the Canadair Regional Jet regional aircraft. They decided to keep the name of the Canadair aircraft, although the company itself was bought by the Canadian company Bombardier.

And already in 1991, three CRJ-100 prototypes were created. Their first flight tests were carried out in May 1991.

Modernization

In order to expand the capabilities of the CRJ-100, a modification of the CRJ-200 bombardier is produced. At first glance, it is difficult to find visible differences, since the modernization affected only the power plant.

The common feature of the aircraft of this series is the fuselage of a small diameter and an elongated body. The aerodynamic qualities of the aircraft are positively influenced by the strongly tapered nose of the fuselage.

The general design is made according to the low-wing design, with two engines located in the tail section.

CRJ-200 - the plane, the photo of which you see below - serves UTair flights.

In 1995, more powerful power plants were installed on the aircraft of this series, which improved flight characteristics. From that moment on, the CRJ-200 (aircraft) was designated in a new way.

It should also be mentioned that there are aircraft modifications with an increased number of passengers up to 70 people. For this, two CF34-8C1 turbojet engines were installed with an increased thrust of 61.34 kN each.

The area of the horizontal wing was also increased, the landing gear was lengthened, and the wheels themselves were set with a larger diameter. They did not forget to equip the aircraft with more powerful brakes and wing flaps of an increased area.

The aircraft is designated Regional Jet Series 700 / CRJ 700.

The main difference from the CRJ-200 is that the aircraft was equipped with engines of higher power and, accordingly, of different sizes. For this, the wingspan was increased to 23.01 m due to the modernization of other tips.

Flight characteristics

Basic aircraft include the CRJ-100 and CRJ-200. There are also aircraft modifications with increased flight range. These are ER (Extended Range) and LR (Long Range). For US airlines, aircraft of the CRJ-440 version are used. This is the same CRJ-200, but with a decrease in seats to 44.

A typical passenger plane is designed for 40-50 people. There are also modifications of the CRJ-200 aircraft, the characteristics of which can be found in the table below.

According to the manufacturer, this type of aircraft has increased operational characteristics:

  1. The ability to perform flights in adverse weather conditions.
  2. Possibility of aircraft operation at high-altitude airfields.
  3. The airliner's cabin capacity has been increased to 50 seats.
  4. The aircraft cabin is equipped with leather seats.
  5. Easy to convert to either full economy or full business class.
  6. Capacious hand luggage shelves - 0.04 cubic meters.
  7. These aircraft have improved characteristics in terms of fuel consumption.

On this moment one of the most reliable in terms of security is the CRJ-200. The aircraft, the photo of the cabin of which can be seen below, has a number of features.

Interior layout

The plane diagram can always be seen on the official website of Utair.

Below on the diagram you can see the cabin of the CRJ-200 aircraft and its layout.

The very boarding of passengers is carried out in the front part of the cabin on the left side through the boarding door, which is made in the form of a folding ladder. For safety reasons, the aircraft has one more door for emergency evacuation of passengers.

Comfort zones

It is best to consider the CRJ-200 cabin and find out the comfort of the seats.

Seats (A, B) and (C, D) are marked on the diagram - it will not be very comfortable to sit here, and the fault is the partition and wall of the galley. Because of this, the distances for the feet of passengers in these places are greatly reduced. The chairs themselves may also seem very uncomfortable due to the fact that the armrests do not recline here. On top of the inconvenience, you will have to look at the wall during the entire flight.

If you take seats in the 7th row, it may be inconvenient that the backs of the chairs either do not unfold at all, or recline at a small angle. This is because there is an emergency exit from the plane behind the seats. In addition, one of the disadvantages of these seats is the lower temperature in the cabin in this zone.

But already the seats in the 8th row are more spacious for leg placement. And this is again connected with the emergency exit zone, which is the difference between the interior of the CRJ-200. Also from the inconvenience of these places will be that there are no armrests near the emergency exit. In the area of these seats, the air temperature is cooler than in the entire cabin.

If you pay attention to the seats of the 12th row, then everything is standard here. But their disadvantage is that the noise from the running engines is increased.

If you come across seats of the 13th row, then all the way you will have to put up with the noise of running engines. In addition, the backs of the chairs do not recline - they are fixed in one position. Adding to the inconvenience is the sound of flushing water in the toilet coming from behind the partition, and passengers are constantly passing through here.

Prospects for replacing the aircraft

Due to the fact that CRJ-200 jet aircraft operating on Russian airlines are gradually aging, the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier proposed to replace the aging aircraft fleet with promising Q400 NextGen turboprop.

This judgment was put forward at the Wings of Russia forum by Bombardier's CIS Sales Director Mark Gilbert. The main reason was that the rental costs of these models are the same, but the Q400 can accommodate more passengers - 86.

Development prospects

According to Canadian researchers, Russia is a promising market for the new Q400. And these aircraft will be needed primarily on regional routes, since in Russia regional routes are characterized by longer distances compared to other countries.

According to the firm's researchers, the aircraft regional lines in Russia, they mainly fly over distances of a little over 1000 km. Therefore, the Q400 NextGen turboprop, which is designed for flights over 1000 km, would be a suitable replacement for the CRJ-200. An aircraft with a larger capacity will be better in demand on local airlines, according to Mark Gilbert.

According to Bombardier, 82 CRJ-200 aircraft are in operation on Russian and CIS airlines from such companies as:

  • RusLine (16).
  • UTair (12).
  • Ak Bars Aero (15).
  • Yamal (10).
  • "IrAero" (6).
  • Severstal (6).
  • UTair-Ukraine (3).
  • Belavia, Belarus (4).
  • Georgian Airways, Georgia (4).
  • SCAT, Kazakhstan (6).

Aircraft construction in Russia

It is planned to build an assembly plant for Bombardier Q400 aircraft in Ulyanovsk in close cooperation with the Rostec corporation. As Gilbert reflects in his interview, despite the slowdown, work continues on this project. The aircraft of this series will be supplied to Russia and the CIS countries.

Bombardier predicts that about 6,000 aircraft of this series will be delivered by 2033. 460 of them will be delivered to Russian and CIS airlines. At the same time, turboprop models will occupy more than half of the world's supplies. And in 2012, they accounted for only 14% of all deliveries.

PhosAgro is being updated

At present, it is known that PhosAgro has entered into an agreement with the Severstal airline for the supply and purchase of two Bombardier CRJ-200 jets and leasing them to Severstal. This will allow organizing additional flights from the Khibiny airport.

This solution allows expanding flights to Moscow up to 5-6 flights per week. And he solves problems with flights to St. Petersburg - up to three a week.

"Considering that flights to Northern capital are already operated by Pskov-avia, flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg will be daily ", - this is the opinion of the director of the Khibiny airport, Valentin Babkin.

CRJ-200: aircraft reviews

Opinions about the plane can be found on the websites of the carrier companies and on the forums, where the advantages and disadvantages of various airliners are discussed.

And there is something to discuss!

Many passengers have already had to fly on airplanes from Russian manufacturers TU, Il, AN, etc., but even with such experience behind them, they note that this plane is finding its niche in air travel.

Due to its small size, it seems like a baby compared to such a giant as Boeing, but this disadvantage looks like an advantage when passengers notice a quick takeoff and a smooth takeoff of the aircraft. The Bombardier CRJ-200 gets the same advantage when landing. He doesn't need long runways.

Yes, of course, passengers are worried about the noise of the engines. But this will not be a disadvantage, especially when flying short distances. Although the flight lasts more than an hour, thanks to the comfortable seats, neither the back nor the neck get tired.

Also the seats are comfortable, as there is a lot of legroom. Embarkation and disembarkation are unusually fast (maximum capacity 50 people).

It seems strange to some that it never shook during the entire flight, although the plane is relatively small. Also, many note that neither on landing, nor on takeoff of the plane, ears did not get covered. The downside is that the chassis is released very loudly. But, again, it should be noted that it depends on the seat that the passenger occupies in the aircraft cabin.

In general, this type of airliner is quite suitable for the Russian realities both in terms of flight range and its use on different types of runways.

The airline has four fare families in economy class, which differ in baggage allowance, terms of ticket exchange and refund, and other parameters. The cheaper the tariff, the stricter the conditions for exchange and return. If you are sick and can prove it with a medical document, you can usually return the ticket regardless of the fare.

Hand luggage

Norm free carriage hand luggage for “Light” and “Classic” tariffs it is 5 kg with dimensions not exceeding 40 × 30 × 20 cm. For other tariffs the rate is 10 kg. Carry-on baggage dimensions must not exceed 55 × 40 × 20 cm. According to the airline's rules for infants (children from 0 to 2 years old) who do not occupy a separate seat, the free carry-on baggage allowance does not differ from the standard for an adult passenger.

Baggage

The Light fare does not include free baggage transportation. According to the "Classic" and "Optimum" fares, you can carry 1 piece of baggage weighing up to 20 kg. For the "Premium" fare - 1 piece of baggage weighing 30 kg.

For a child under 2 years old who does not occupy a separate seat, there is no free baggage allowance.

Sports equipment is included in the free baggage allowance and counts as one piece of baggage for all fares. If the inventory exceeds the standards, then an additional payment will be required - from 2,000 rubles to 50 euros (depending on the route of the flight and the airport of departure). Winter sports equipment is transported according to the specified rules only in certain time of the year.

Excess baggage

If the baggage in terms of the number of pieces, dimensions or weight exceeds the baggage allowance, the airline takes a surcharge for its transportation. For one additional piece weighing up to 10 kg, an additional payment is taken from 2000 rubles to 35 euros (depending on the route of the flight and the airport of departure). For the second and subsequent additional seats, an additional payment is taken from 3000 rubles to 50 euros (depending on the route of the flight and the airport of departure).

Overweight from 1 to 10 kg is paid as one additional piece of baggage, from 11 to 20 kg - as two additional places luggage. Baggage weighing more than 32 kg is transported only by prior agreement with the airline and is paid at the established rate for the full weight.

Transportation of animals

Transportation of animals is possible both in the cabin and in the luggage compartment of the aircraft. If the animal together with the container weighs less than 8 kg, it can be transported in the cabin. The dimensions of the container should not exceed 115 cm by the sum of 3 dimensions. The transportation service is paid - 2000 rubles. Animals weighing more than 8 kg (including the cage) are carried in the hold. The service is paid, the cost depending on the dimensions of the container and weight - from 2,000 to 10,000 rubles. The airline has restrictions on the number of animals on one flight (from 2 to 3). Restrictions depend on the type of aircraft. Antagonistic animals (for example, a cat and a dog) are not allowed on the same flight in the cabin or in the hold of the aircraft.

CJSC Aviation Company Rusline, better known as RusLine, is Russian airline, which operates regular, charter and business aviation flights from the Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports in Moscow, as well as other cities of the country in Russia, to the territory of the far abroad and the CIS.

History

Airline "RusLine" was established in the early summer of 1997 as a charter operator, which owned a fleet of aircraft and was fully staffed. Received the Air Operator's Certificate in 2003.

In 2007 RusLine was the first in the Russian Federation to receive permission and the opportunity to start operating the Bombardier CRJ 100/200. And already in 2009, the implementation of a long-term project of regional transportation began.
The year 2010 brought the company the creation of 2 additional hubs in Volgograd and Yekaterinburg, which occurred as a result of the takeover of Volga-Aviaexpress and the organization of flights from Yekaterinburg within the framework of a single program with the Koltsovo airport.

In the same year, the integration of RusLine into Amadeus, an international sales system, begins. The carrier received the 7R code in the IATA system. The concluded code-share agreements made RusLine partners with Saratov Airlines and Ural Airlines.

2011 saw the appearance of Embraer 120 regional vessels in the fleet, and the appearance of Airbus A 319 in 2012.
To date, to provide maintenance of the park, a company has been acquired in Stockholm - Airline Support Sweden AB, which is located in the airport of Orlando. This Swedish company is a separate project that deals with heavy forms of aircraft maintenance, as well as their basic and linear maintenance.

Air fleet

In the beginning, the RusLine fleet was based exclusively on Yak-40 and Tu-134 aircraft. During 3 quarters of 2012 and the first quarter of 2013, Airbus А319 vessels were also in operation. As of the end of 2013, the company's fleet consisted of 10 Bombardier CRJ-100 aircraft with 50 seats, 8 Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft with the same number of seats, 1 Bombardier Challenger 850 designed for 10 VIP passengers, and 3 Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia aircraft for 30 places.

Route network

The route map for March 2014 includes 49 directions, which allow you to combine 54 destinations located in 3 countries of the world.

The main home airports are located in Moscow: "" and "". Aircraft the companies are also based in the airports of the cities of Volgograd (""), Voronezh, St. Petersburg ("") and Yekaterinburg (""). Such a developed internal route network allows flights to regional airports of Cheboksary, Elista, Vorkuta, Petrozavodsk, Yaroslavl, Ufa, Saransk, Ivanov, Chelyabinsk, Surgut, Perm, Orenburg, Tyumen, Samara, Kazan, Kurgan, Makhachkala, Syktyvskar, Ulyanov.

Plane crashes related to aviation company RusLine

In 2011, on June 20, the RusLine flight number RG-243 from Moscow to Petrozavodsk was replaced by the RusAir flight No. TsGI 9605 on the same route on a Tu-134A aircraft. The replacement of the type of board was due to the expected increase in the number of passengers on the Moscow-Petrozavodsk-Moscow line, which was the reason for choosing an aircraft with big amount places (66 instead of 50).

The passengers were accepted for the flight according to the previously purchased tickets.
Difficult meteorological conditions created an emergency situation, during which, when entering landing strip a / p "Besovets" in Petrozavodsk, the Tu-134A plane from contact with the ground 600 meters from the edge of the runway was destroyed to pieces and engulfed in flames. The plane crash killed 47 of the 52 passengers on board.

It is engaged in both international and domestic regular passenger flights. For domestic flights, a large fleet of small aircraft is used, 15 of them are Bombardier CRJ 200.

It is worth noting that the Bombardier CRJ 200 is a modern narrow-body jet aircraft. This liner is capable of performing flights in adverse weather conditions, which is important in the harsh winter conditions of continental Russia. The salon accommodates 50 comfortable leather seats.

Let's take a closer look at the Bombardier CRJ 200 cabin layout and find out where passengers will feel most comfortable during the flight.

Such a scheme can be viewed on the official website utair.ru. As already noted, the configuration provides for 50 passenger seats in a single-class cabin.

Ask an airline employee for advice

If possible, study carefully the diagram of the airliner on which you will fly

Do not take seats in which the seats do not recline or are limited in this.

Do not take places near toilets, kitchens and other technical rooms at the very tail.

1 p. places B, A and 2 p. places D, C- The position of the galley wall and partitions is such that there may not be a lot of legroom. More folding tables are inserted into one of the armrests, thus making it immovable. On top of that, it's not very comfortable to watch the entire flight against the wall.

7 p. - Behind this row are emergency exits, due to this circumstance, the backs of the seats do not recline or are strongly limited in this. It could still be cooler in this row.

8 p. Seats D, A- Although this aisle is behind the emergency exit, there is not as much legroom as in wide-body aircraft. Still, it is. There is no armrest on the side of the door and this is another inconvenience. it can get quite cold from the door during the flight.

8 p. , places C, B- More free legroom compared to other standard seats.

12 p. - Standard seats, however, will be noisy from the engines.

13 p. - The engines also create a lot of noise. In addition, the backs of the seats in these places do not recline and are fixed. Adds a picture of the location next to the toilet. Passengers will walk past you and form queues; moreover, the sound of the tank may be inconvenient.

A couple of general points about the seating arrangement in the Bombardier CRJ 200 are their disadvantages and advantages.

1. The seats, which are located next to the porthole, have the advantage of being able to look into it during the flight (this, of course, depends on the flight time and weather). If you are flying at night, this advantage does not count. Also, the neighbor will not bother you if he wants to get up. These places have one drawback - it is not very convenient to leave it yourself. Therefore, if there is no need to go to the toilet often or you intend to oversleep the entire flight, choose a seat near the window.

2. The seats, which are located near the aisle, have their own advantage - it is very easy to get up from it, if necessary, to the toilet.

The disadvantages are that a neighbor can bother him if he needs to get up. Flight attendants with carts and passengers who pass through the cabin to the galley and toilets can also interfere. Therefore, if you are flying with a child and, most likely, you will often have to go to the toilet. Or you yourself have a need to go to the restroom more often, then choose from the edge of the place.
