Walk on Lake Teletskoye on the "Pioneer Altai" motor ship

"Motor ship Pioneer Altai"

Travel in Altai, and especially travel in bring a lot of positive emotions to tourists with children who have visited our region.

A trip on the double-decker motor ship "Pioneer Altai" brings special joy from the trip.

Teletskoe is a lake of incredible Miracles, stunning beauty and untouched Nature!

During the excursion on the "Pioneer of Altai" motor ship you will see 7 wonderful wonders of the Teletskoye Lake and your heart will forever be conquered by the landscapes of the most picturesque lake in Altai Mountains.

1. Korbu waterfall.

The most famous waterfall of Lake Teletskoye and the most accessible on the territory of the Altai Nature Reserve. During the excursion on the "Pioneer of Altai" motor ship, you will have an hour-long stop at the Korbu waterfall. During this time, you will not only admire the beauty and majesty of the water falling from 12 meters and sheer cliffs, but also taste local delicacies, which are presented in a large assortment in numerous cafes. Entrance to the waterfall - 100 rubles / person, children under 14 years old are free, paid before entering the waterfall.

2. Kishte waterfall.

A small but very picturesque waterfall, only 8 meters high, located on the right bank of the central part of Lake Teletskoye, near the Korbu waterfall. You can see the Kishte waterfall only from the water, since disembarkation at this place is prohibited. Like Korbu, the Kishte waterfall is located on the territory of the Altai nature reserve, and is very popular among the guests of Lake Teletskoye.

3. Cape Ayran.

Once upon a time, a part of the rock broke off and fell into the water - this is how Cape Ayran was formed. In spring and early summer, Ayran looks like a small island - part of the land between it and the coast at this time is hidden under water. Cape Ayran is clearly visible when the Pioneer of Altai passes the Kamginsky Bay. You can take wonderful photos from the board of the ship - Ayran gracefully frames the Kamginsky Bay, forming a picturesque panorama.

4. Kamginsky Bay.

This place on Lake Teletskoye is called “the territory of special peace”. The Kamginsky Bay is shallow relative to the entire Teletskoye Lake, the water warms up well in it, this is the main spawning site for Teletskoye fish. The bay is strictly guarded by a special regime of the Altai nature reserve, its visit is strictly prohibited. But you can admire it from afar - and take the most beautiful panoramic pictures from the "Pioneer Altai" motor ship.

5. Cape Azhi.

It is called the Dragon Gate of Teletsky. The mountain ranges resemble mythical dragons, as if lying along the shores of the lake and blocking with their huge bodies the entrance to a mysterious and beautiful country called the Lake. It is most interesting to watch how the Dragon Gate "opens" from the high decks of the "Pioneer Altai".

6. Korbu Ridge.

This grandiose natural creation is called the crown of Lake Teletskoye. The Korbu ridge is especially beautiful at sunset - at this time its majestic peaks, most years covered with white sparkling snow, glow with red-pink hues - and this is truly a magnificent sight! On the motor ship "Pioneer of Altai" you will have a wonderful opportunity to admire the Korbu ridge during the entire excursion, amazing photographs are obtained against its picturesque background.

7. Southern reach of Lake Teletskoye.

From north to south, the lake changes its shape - the mountains become higher, and the distances between the shores are wider, rocky ledges, breaking down, go straight straight into the water. You can see the picturesque panorama of the southern reach of Lake Teletskoye and admire the spurs of the Altyn-tu ridge from the board of the "Pioneer Altai" motor ship - during the excursion, when approaching the Korbu waterfall, the motor ship crosses the lake in the area of Cape Kuan, and at this moment the gaze of passengers opens of stunning beauty painting. It is impossible to describe this beauty in words - you need to see it!

They say that if an asphalt road ends, the most interesting thing begins for a motorist.

I'm not sure that every car enthusiast will be delighted with the killed dirt road, but in our autotravel across Altai best places, indeed, began after the end of the asphalt.

The Artybash village is the second place where we went on our route. Everyone who comes to Lake Teletskoye from its northern part stops in the villages of Artybash or Iogach.

We left Belokurikha early to catch the 15-hour motor ship "Pioneer Altai" excursion on Lake Teletskoye.

Belokurikha - Artybash = 270 km (4.5 hours)
Gorno-Altaysk - Artybash = 157 km (2.5 hours)

But something went wrong (in the schedule I confused weekdays and weekends) and our ship left at 12-00. We were late for some 30 minutes. But then they realized that everything was for the best.

Right there, on the spot, we agreed with local carriers about an excursion on the lake and we had additional time for lunch and a walk along the banks of the Biya River.

Locals advised to dine in a cafe with homemade food on the shore. The dinner turned out to be quite decent. Mashed potatoes with beef, fried grayling, okroshka, pies and compote. For four, it was about 1,300 rubles.

If you come to the lake without prior reservation, do not worry, there are quite enough people who want to earn money in the short summer season.
We have reserved seats in a 10-seater speedboat, as shown in the photo.

Dressed life jackets and set off. The weather was not at all pleasing with drizzling rain. But we didn't care))

First stop - Estyuba waterfall.
Located on the Bolshaya Estyuba River, which originates at the foot of the mountain of the same name. Translated from Altai " Big mountain". The waterfall is located in a tectonic crevice, which can only be reached by water. It is a cascade of waterfalls, seething and mesmerizing. Especially beautiful in spring, with melt water, discovered by local hunters in 1938.

There are only four waterfalls on a tour of the lake. When disembarking, each (except for Kishte) takes 100 rubles for an environmental fee. For this money, we get neat wooden paths, railings, trash cans, a clean and well-groomed path.

We were glad a few more times that we didn’t make it to the regular steamer. Wouldn't have seen the other waterfalls of the lake!

Next stop on Choodor waterfall, on the western side of Lake Teletskoye.
In translation from the Altai language Choodor is translated as "pockmarked, clumsy". The height of the fall is about eight meters, surrounded by age-old mosses and ferns.

Here I liked walking the most. Perhaps due to the presence of equipped observation platforms, from which stunning views of Lake Teletskoye and wooded banks open up. Just unbelieveble!

Most of the eastern shore of Lake Teletskoye is part of the Altai Nature Reserve, one of the largest reserves in Russia. You can't just take a tent and stay for a couple of days in a place you like.
About seventy large and small rivers of Altai flow into the lake, and the famous beauty Biya flows out. The deepest depth is 325 meters in the area of the Korbu waterfall. Local compare to size Eiffel tower... The lake is strongly elongated from north to south, the length is 77 km.

Cafe in the national style.

Altai kids.

Korbu waterfall- located on the Bolshaya Korbu river on east coast Teletskoye lake. The height of the waterfall is 12.5 meters, the fall is 65 degrees. The most visited waterfall of the lake! Only here comes the steamer to disembark tourists.

There was one more waterfall - Kishte, but it is forbidden to land there. It is located on the way to Korbu. For some reason, the photo was not found ((.

On the way back we were brought to one more popular place- stone bay. You can get here by a trail from the village of Iogach, or by boat - about 15-20 minutes.
The shores of the stony bay consist of massive boulders of various shapes and sizes. According to some sources, this is a funnel from a meteorite falling, according to others, it is a pit from a huge collapsed rock, and the Altai people believe in the myth about a hero who defeated the monster here.

Important! "Pioneer of Altai" departs from the side of the village of Iogach (from Artybash across the bridge), keep this in mind!

Small boats are often parked nearby.

The walk on the lake lasts approximately 3.5 hours. In the evening we still had free time. We left the car near the house and walked to the lake on foot.

For spending the night I booked the Manor house in the forest in the village of Iogach. Great place for one or two nights. The room has everything you need (shower, toilet, water, bed linen, kitchenette, barbecue place, veranda). The very friendly hostess Taisiya Nikolaevna, who for breakfast prepared us delicious millet porridge and a whole mountain of chebureks. It turned out to be a royal breakfast.
The house is located in the forest, 500 meters from the lake, we considered it an additional bonus - peace and quiet. If you're on a machine, distance doesn't matter.

I will show you some photos of the village of Iogach.

Pay attention to the lawns in the village! Do you know why? The answer is in the next photo.

Because "living lawn mowers" work here. We were surprised how neatly the cows eat the lawn. I even thought that he was cut here on purpose))

The reinforced concrete bridge separating Artybash and Iogach was built in 2002 instead of a wooden one.

Looking at such shots, I instantly recall my carefree, barefoot childhood with my grandmother in the village.

Siberian cedar in Altai is very popular in furniture production, housing construction, and interior decoration. Cedar wood is soft, durable and lightweight, does not lend itself to moisture and is not corroded by bugs, is almost not subject to decay. Easily gives in different types processing.
In Moscow and the region - cedar is a luxury, but here it is quite an ordinary tree, from which you can build a house and a barn. I wanted to take a couple of logs home))

The second day in Altai rushed by almost imperceptibly and very intensely. Early in the morning we moved to Manzherok.

The fun is ahead!
