How to go to the islands from Pattaya. Pattaya Islands: detailed overview, photo. reviews. Distant islands: how to get there, and what kind of infrastructure

We have collected all important information on how to get from the vicinity of Pattaya to the nearest islands - Lana, Sichang, Samed, Kuda and Chang - where to stay and what to see. Not without branded life hacks from the special correspondent "ZagraNitsa"!

Lan

The island remains popular among Pattaya tourists, despite the "pop" and dominance of the citizens of the Celestial Empire.

How to get there:

  • By ferry from Bali Hai pier... One-way ticket price is 30 baht, travel time is about 30 minutes. From Pattaya, ferries run from 7:00 to 17:00 with a half hour break, from Lana the last ferry leaves at 18:00. Please note: despite the timetable, ships sail as soon as they are full. They arrive at one of the two piers. If you go to Ta Waen, you will immediately find yourself on a beach covered with Chinese. And next to the pier Na Ban is a village with a shop "7/11".
  • Private boat for 150 baht round trip including drink. From Pattaya, ships depart at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 and 13:30, and return at 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00.
  • Speedboat from 500 baht. But you will have to wait until you have 12-15 people, which sometimes takes time. The second minus is a strong pitching.

Where to stay

Booking.com and agoda.com have a good selection of hotels from THB 1,100, but if you want to save a few hundred, look for guesthouses in the hamlet near Na Ban Pier. And the most budget option will rent a sun lounger on the beach for 100 baht or even put up a tent.

What to see:

  • souvenirs in the village near Na Ban pier;
  • observation platform;
  • Temple.

Moving around the island

Songteo (from 30 baht) and motorcycle taxis (40-50 baht per passenger) run between the piers and beaches of Lana. You can also rent a bike for 200-300 baht and ride all the beaches to find the best one.

Life hacks:

  • do not listen to the Thais who claim that the ferry has been canceled, and only speed boats go to the island;
  • when renting, take pictures of a motorbike from all sides and try to do without a deposit;
  • it is better to stock up on food and drinks on the mainland;
  • many hotels have a barbecue, but they won't let you light a fire on the beach;
  • if you go from Na Ban pier to the right, keeping to the shore, you will find a wonderful empty beach;
  • on Wednesdays, sun loungers are not exposed, you need to go with your own bedding;
  • on weekdays, the cost of hotels is about 20% lower;
  • the island is full of sea urchins! When entering the water, look under your feet and try not to “feel the bottom”;
  • after the strict prohibition of hookahs in Pattaya, Lan sharply became popular among the Arabs;
  • at low tide, some of the beaches are not suitable for swimming because of the sharp rocks.

Sichang

The island is underestimated by both tourists and expats, although it is located very close to Pattaya. Ko Sichang is "three in one": clean sea, great attractions, mainland prices.

Our goal is a ledge on the map marked as " Koh Loi Park". From there, ferries to Sichang run from about 7:00 to 19:00. The ticket price is 50 baht one way. You can get to the pier as follows:

  • on your own transport. The distance from Pattaya to Koh Loi is about 35 km, the road will take about 50 minutes. There is a convenient parking for cars and bikes;
  • we leave on Sukhumvit and catch a songteo or minibus passing in the direction of Bangkok. We say "Sriracha" and prepare to pay about 40 baht. You will be dropped off at the Robinson shopping center. From there, take a motorcycle taxi to the Ko Loi pier, which will cost you 50 baht.

Where to stay

Booking.com offers a choice of rooms from 700 baht / night, on site you can find a guesthouse for a hundred or two cheaper. You can live in a village (for example, in Charlie’s Bungalow from 1000 baht), where restaurants, temples and "7/11" are close at hand, but the beach is 3 km away. Or stay right on the shore (Tam Pang Resort) if infrastructure is not important to you.

What to see:

  • the former residence of Rama V - the embankment and beautiful museum houses in a picturesque landscape;
  • observation deck with the footprint of the Buddha;
  • Chinese temple;
  • "The cave of desires."

Moving around the island

You can rent a bike for 200-250 baht without a deposit or use the services of local "tukers" - sightseeing tour on the island they will offer for 250-300 baht. Short trips will cost 40-60 baht.

Life hacks:

  • for 200 baht, your motorbike will be extremely moved to the island;
  • be prepared to walk a lot on the hill when examining the residence - the bike will be asked to leave at the entrance;
  • Xichang is great for a wedding photo shoot;
  • food on the beach is inexpensive, so it is enough to take fruit with you;
  • when returning the bike, just leave it with the keys at the pier.

Samed

Favorite by Bangkoks, the closest combination to the capital white sand and azure-turquoise water, located about 90 km from Pattaya.

How to get there:

  • On your own transport to the village of Ban Phe, and then by ferry for 50 baht.
  • Transfer by 35 group company (270 baht one way, 500 baht round trip, ferry ticket is included in the price).
  • Catch a minibus or a bus to Rayong on Sukhumvit, change there to a songteo to Ban Phe, then buy ferry tickets or hire a speedboat (from 1000 baht per person round trip).
  • By ferry from Ban Phe (runs from 8:00 to 16:30).

What to see:

Moving around the island:

  • Renting a motorbike costs 250-300 baht, documents are asked as a deposit or 2000 baht. Roads are paved almost everywhere, so offroad tires are not needed.
  • Quad bikes are available for rent (from 500 baht / hour and 1500 / day), as well as golf carts (from 500 baht / hour).
  • From Na Dan pier to the beaches, tuk-tuk cost from 20 to 60 baht. But, firstly, you have to wait until there are enough passengers, and secondly, in order to get to the hotel later, you have to go out on the road and rely on chance.

Periodically, 200 baht is collected from accommodating tourists for visiting the park, which includes Samed. Seasoned travelers avoid gathering by bypassing the guard booth at the entrance.

Kood

The fourth largest island in Thailand, also located in Trat province near the Cambodian border. Kuda is often overlooked due to its underdeveloped infrastructure, but it is ideal for a relaxing break.

How to get there:

  • With the help of 35 group company - a transfer to the pier on the island will cost 800 baht (one way), from a hotel in Pattaya, a minibus will pick you up at about 6 am.
  • By Ko Kut Express from Trat. Free shuttle will pick you up from S.A. Hotel in Trat and will take you to the fast boat. Upon arrival at Kood, you will be driven to your hotel by a songteo. And all this is 350 baht one way. For a fee, a company transport can pick you up from Trat Airport.
  • In high season - on a speedboat for 600 baht.
  • Company ships Koh kood Princess and Boonsiri, which also run between the mainland and the island.

Where to stay

Accommodation prices start at THB 250 per room in a non-air-conditioned guesthouse with shared showers (PD Guesthouse).

  • Mount Khao Ruearab.

Moving around the island:

  • Songthaew for 30 baht.
  • By songthaew in taxi mode for 300-500 baht.
  • Renting a bike will cost 250-400 baht / day.

Photo: Shutterstock

Life hacks:

  • prices on the island are at least one and a half times higher than mainland;
  • there are few cars on the roads, so Kood - perfect place for educational riding on a motorbike;
  • the hospital here is simple, so take rare medicines with you;
  • there is almost no shopping either - only souvenirs, food and basic necessities are sold.
5

Chang

The second largest island in the country after Phuket. Completely "ready-to-eat" in terms of infrastructure - there are hotels, shops, markets, banks, even bars with "girls". Esotericists claim that seven layers of restless souls have gathered over Chang, which is why the sun does not burn so much, and the pace of life of the islanders is slowed down.

How to get there:

  • From Pattaya, the most generally accepted way is the services of the same 35 group: 720 baht (both ends) cost a minibus + ferry, 1050 baht - delivery directly to the hotel on Chang. They will pick you up from your hotel in Pattaya at about 6 am.
  • The mainland town of Trat, closest to the island, has an airport with local airlines. From there, a minibus will take you to your hotel for 500 baht.
  • V Suvarnabhumi airport Hop on a 600 baht minibus that runs three times a day at 8:00, 11:00 and 14:00. The price includes a ferry ticket.
  • From the center of Trat to the pier is about 20 km, which can be traveled on a public songteo for 60 baht.
  • The ferry runs from 6:00 to 19:00 hourly. One way adult ticket costs 80 baht. You can transport a motorbike for 50 baht, a car for 100 baht.
  • You can order a yacht that will take you to Chang at non-standard times. To do this, contact the Siam Royal View Koh Chang Hotel. The trip will cost about 2,700 baht.

Where to stay

The choice of accommodation on the island is huge. If we talk about bungalows, then on the second line from the popular White Sand beach, the price of air-conditioned housing will be 600-800 baht / day. A completely Spartan version can be found from 300 baht. The rest of the beaches also have both pretty houses for 800-1000 baht, and huts without amenities for 200 (Tiger Hut on Klong Prao, Siam Hut on Lonely Beach).

What to see:

  • Klong Plu waterfalls;
  • elephant farms;
  • neighboring islets by renting a kayak;
  • The "tourist" fishing village of Bang Bao;
  • rope park Tree Top Adventure;
  • sunset from the bar at the Nirvana Resort.

Moving around the island:

  • Renting a bike costs 200-300 baht per day, cars - from 800 baht (1000 on average).
  • Songthaews run in the western part of the island during the day. The fare between the nearest beaches is 50 baht. In the evening, the same transport turns into a taxi.

Life hacks:

  • summer on the island is the rainy season;
  • housing for a long term is not very good here - "short-term" tourists are more profitable for the owners of guest houses;
  • when Thais can cheat, laziness wins;
  • dear souvenir on the island;
  • real fishing village located in the southeast;
  • head to Lonely Beach in search of bars and parties;
  • it is better to exchange money in advance.

We wish you a pleasant and interesting rest on the islands near Pattaya!

Pattaya with all the disadvantages in the form of a dirty sea in the city itself is still a wonderful place, because literally a few kilometers from Pattaya there are islands with clean beaches with white sand and transparent blue sea... You especially feel this, having got out of the gray winter homeland, you find yourself, like in a fairy tale, in another country, where the sun, a different language, different smells and colors. Pattaya has already become a second home for many Russians. Many of our compatriots come here in winter, as if they were to a summer cottage.

And everything is good here. Pattaya pleases with massage parlors, small cafes where you can taste exotic dishes, shopping streets littered with all kinds of food. Here you can find not very expensive housing and there is practically no need to know here. English language... Pattaya has long been a Russian place. But don’t say Pattaya is enough Big city and there is no clean sea in Pattaya itself and cannot be. Alas, in order to visit the tropical paradise from the picture, you need to go to the islands near Pattaya.

How to do it easier. You can get to the islands on your own or as part of excursions. Fortunately, there are plenty of islands near Pattaya. And for every taste. You can go to uninhabited island and enjoy your personal paradise there, or go to national park on an educational excursion. But it's easier to cross the sea on a ferry and find yourself under the palm trees, surrounded by monkeys, and in the evening return home to cozy Pattaya.

The closest of the islands near Pattaya is Ko Larn.

It is the closest island to Pattaya for swimming and diving. The distance is only 7 km. by sea. Prices for tickets from Pattaya to the islands are different: from 30 baht to 3-6 thousand for renting a boat with excursions for a large company. You can get there by ferry on your own from the Bali Hai pier, which is located at the end of the walking Volkin Street. The cost of one ticket is 30 baht for a public ferry, and 300 baht per person for a speedboat.

Buying tickets, like everything in Asia, may not look exactly what you expect. Usually, when you have not even managed to reach the boat or ferry, a man in a panama hat runs up to you, without the identification marks of a worker in the port and shouts “Kolan, kolarn” in every way. At this moment, it is imperative to clarify how much the ticket costs and what type water transport you are offered it.

You give money for a ticket, and the Thais give you some bright pieces of paper, like candy wrappers. In Thailand, they are very fond of bright colors in everything related to tickets, documents, money. And they drag you by the sleeve to the man sitting near the ship, you give him the papers. You have the ticket in your hands for about two minutes, I never managed to find out what was painted there. This is how you get on the ferry that sails to the islands.

Do not forget to wear on the ferry just in case life vest, after the ferry sank in Pattaya, this is especially true

If you want to go to the island on a speedboat, you need to ask the same people diving along the pier. The most interesting thing is that after several decades of staying in Pattaya Russians tourists, Thais have learned to recognize our interrogative intonations and therefore the words "Speedboat?" what is said with the appropriate intonation will be enough. You will immediately find the right person, usually the captain of the boat.

Best beaches in Pattaya

There is one nuisance that you will be put in an empty or half-empty boat and you will wait until it is filled with other people. On the one hand, no matter what you wait, boats fill up very quickly, especially at lunchtime, on the other hand, if you want to sail on another ship, you can just get up and go change seats, all the nuances will be settled by the Thais themselves.

As a last resort, you will interact with the local culture again. I highly recommend using your finger and a confident facial expression to achieve your goals, it helps a lot in understanding with the indigenous people of Southeast Asia.

map of Koh Lan island and time of departure of ferries to this island from Pattaya

Ferries run to Na Vaan pier in the settlement and to Ta Vaen Beach. From the settlement, you will still need to get to the beach by tuk-tuk. Below is an approximate ferry schedule. It is best to recover in the morning, while it is not very hot, and return on the last flights. It gets dark very early in Thailand, in winter at half past six it is already completely dark, so the last ferries in winter may not go to the island.

Ferry schedule from Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya to TaVaen Beach: 08:00, 09:00, 11:00, 13:00.

Ferry Schedule from Pattaya to Na Baan Pier: 07:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:30, 17:00 and 18:30 (summer time)

Ferry timetable from TaVaen Beach to Bali Hai Pier: 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00

From Na Baan Pier to Pattaya: 06:30, 07:30, 09:30, 12:00, 14:00, 17:00, 18:00.

And so you sailed away. The journey will take from 20 to 45 minutes, depending on what weather you sail at sea. The trip is very pleasant, you sail practically around the island, the views are simply magnificent. Be sure to take your camera or camcorder with you. There are several bays on the island, which are equipped for tourist recreation.

Seeking some kind of seclusion on Ko Lana will not work. If you have planned a long enough vacation in Pattaya and it consists of lying on the beach and swimming, then I recommend visiting different beaches of Ko Lana.

in the photo taken from the ferry, Koh Lan island

Tawaen Beach

You can get here by ferry and this is the most popular beach on the island. Fortunately, it is very large, about 750 meters long and 100 meters wide. There are restaurants, shops with souvenirs, pareos and hats, a first-aid post, and the police. Several bungalows. The beach is equipped with sun loungers from 100 baht per person. There is water attractions and the ability to rent a scooter. Masseuses come and offer their services.

Relax on Wongamat Beach in Pattaya

Get ready for the fact that all prices on the island are higher than in Pattaya. What's good: azure sea and white sand, no corals and hedgehogs. There are a lot of people on weekends, but on weekdays it is quieter.

If you arrive at Tawaen pier, you will immediately find yourself on this beach

Tien Beach

From the parking lot to which you are brought to the beach leads pedestrian bridge... The beach is about 500 meters long. There is all the infrastructure here: cafes and attractions, but not in such abundance as on Ta Vaena. Sun loungers are cheaper. There are fewer people.

The beach is mostly sandy, but stones are also found. Outlandish fish swim around rocks and reefs. The beach is good for snorkeling and fishing, but be very careful when entering the water.

Samae Beach

Large crowded beach suitable for swimming. The beach is located in the lagoon, so the water is calm, there are no high waves. White fine sand and clear sea. It is very popular with tourists, you can get here by tuk-tuk from the pier. For sun loungers, you will pay from 50 baht. There are cafes and attractions.

Monkey Beach (Nual Beach or Monkey Beach)

It is not necessary that you will meet monkeys here. Monkeys do not live on the beach itself, but come from the jungle from the mountain, which is located at the very end of the beach. They can be fed with fruit. Monkeys are very stubborn and you may no longer see what they like from your things. Be careful. There are sun beds, the sea is mostly quiet.

But the beach next to the mountain where the monkeys live is not very suitable for swimming due to the reefs, hedgehogs and concrete structures in the water, along with the sunken ship. If you want these places will be suitable for snorkelling.

In addition to the beaches on the island there are two observation platforms, a statue of the black Buddha, in the village there is Buddhist temple open to tourists. You can travel around the island by taxi or rent a motorbike near the pier.

Whatever one may say, but Pattaya is all the same seaside resort, and, accordingly, a very important component for sea recreation are the beaches and, in fact, the sea itself. Therefore, in this article we will try to reveal this topic, describe what beaches in Pattaya are and where tourists like to swim and sunbathe more.

Firstly, in all of Thailand, including Pattaya, all beaches belong to the state, so everyone can walk along the sea for free, and swim, of course. And since there are no restrictions for anyone, on the beaches you will meet a huge number of sellers of various goods, souvenirs and food. Bike, jet skis, umbrellas and sun loungers are also based on the beaches.

Secondly, in Pattaya you can not be afraid of storms, since the city is located in the bay. If we talk about Pattaya itself, then the sea is quite calm here.

Thirdly, since the Gulf of Thailand goes out into the ocean, therefore, here you will come across such a concept as ebbs and flows. At low tide, the sea, depending on the time of day, can go up to 100 meters. In Pattaya itself, the ebb is less than on the islands, and if you rest from October to March, you may not even notice them at all, since this process will take place at night. From April to September, the tide is usually in the afternoon. An additional negative at this time is the muddy sea and the risk of stepping on a jellyfish, sea urchin, star or coral. By the way, do not try to swim at night. The likelihood of unpleasant surprises increases many times over.

Fourthly, it is generally accepted that swimming in central Pattaya is not recommended, the water is rather dirty. According to some sources, sewage drains are discharged into the sea. Although I personally had the experience of swimming in central beach and I will say that there is nothing worse than, for example, in Gelendzhik. On the beaches of Jomtien and Naklua, the water is of course cleaner. Well, if you serve crystal clean water If you don't want to go to distant islands, then go to the island of Ko Lan.

Fifthly, the prices are from the traders. The price of sun loungers with umbrellas depends on the location of the beach and the season - from 20 to 100 baht. The price does not depend on the time spent on the beach. There are many peddlers of food (shrimp, fish, corn, fruit, ice cream), souvenirs and coconut oil walking along the beach. I would not recommend buying coconut oil on the beach, it is better to buy it from pharmacies or. Prices for souvenirs and things are overpriced. Pearls are fake.

Prices for food and drinks are reasonable if you bargain, of course. You can find it cheaper, but you have to pay for the service. For example, they wear fried catfish for 100 baht. In the supermarket they are sold for 50 baht, but they will be brought to you directly to the beach, hot, with sauce and disposable dishes, and even with a smile. Is it a pity to pay extra 50 baht for this? On Ko Lana, prices are much higher, it is better to shop in advance in Pattaya, before going to the island.

Entertainment prices: parachute - 500 baht, aquabike - 500 - 800 baht for half an hour.

Ta Waen and ThongLang beaches

These are the most popular beaches in Ko Lana. There is a pier where ships and boats sail. Ta Waen was mainly chosen by Russians, ThongLang by Chinese. Very crowded, the place is clearly not for a relaxing holiday. The beaches and the entrance to the sea are sandy, good for children. Infrastructure - shops, restaurants, police, first-aid post, toilet.

And this is how passengers sometimes leave the ship on the pier on the Ta Waen beach. Don't be alarmed - it's even fun.

Ta Waen and ThongLang beaches are to the left of the pier, and if you go right, you will find yourself on a small cozy beach. The sun beds here are close to the water, but there are not so many people.

And even on the beaches, Thai spirits live in their wonderful houses.

Thian Beach (Tien)

Many consider him the most the best beach islands. The beach itself is quite large, but not crowded. The water is clean. There are sun loungers, a cafe, toilet and shower. The beach is sandy, but rocky on the sides, there are reefs - you can snorkel and see such a miracle, for example.

Nual beach (monkey beach, monkey beach)

On this beach you will be able to combine business with pleasure. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also interact with monkeys in their natural environment. It's only better to arrive before 12 noon. Later, there is a possibility that you will not see the monkeys, since by this time other tourists will already feed them, and they will go to sleep when they are fed.
If you go to this beach, be sure to take a treat - bananas or other fruits. Monkeys are very fond of mangosteen. Fruit is also sold on the beach, but at exorbitant prices. On the left side of the beach, where the monkeys are, the entrance to the sea is rocky. You can snorkel and watch fish. If you are in the summer, swimming is problematic during low tide.

Tham Beach, Samae

The road to this beach lies through the View point - highest point islands, you can stop and admire the surroundings. The beach is large, there is infrastructure, there are many Chinese. The sand is white, fine and pleasant. It is located in the bay, so there are practically no waves. Personally, I didn't really like the beach, as there are a lot of people and the sun loungers are close to each other right down to the water. If someone is also disappointed, having arrived at it, you can reach Tien beach in 10 minutes on foot. It's much quieter there.

Kruad Noi and Kruad Yai beaches

On the southern promontory there are 2 more beaches. But, firstly, it is problematic to get to them, and secondly, the bottom is rocky. Only extreme sportsmen and lovers of solitude will like it, since there is practically no one on them. You can meet nudists.

Video about the main beaches of Koh Lan

Also in the vicinity of Pattaya there are many more small islands with nice beaches, which can be reached by renting a boat or yacht.

Near Pattaya there are small and big islands where you can go to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and swim in the clear sea. They can be divided into near and far. The first are Ko Lan, Ko Sichang, Ko Krok, Ko Sak, Ko Phai and other small islands. The second are the islands of Ko Chang, Ko Samet, Ko Kood, Ko Wai and Ko Mak. So which islands are worth visiting from Pattaya?

Near Pattaya Islands

The nearest islands near Pattaya are Ko Lan, Ko Sichang, Ko Krok, Ko Sak, Ko Phai. The first two, in principle, can be considered independent resorts, since there are hotels there, which means you can live the whole vacation. All others are for day trips, diving, snorkeling and fishing.

1. The most popular island near Pattaya is Koh Lan.

3. Ko Krok, Ko Sak, Ko Phai near Pattaya.

Ko Krok, Ko Sak, Ko Phai - these islands near Pattaya are great places for diving, snorkeling and fishing. The first two are located a couple of kilometers from Koh Lan, and the third is 23 kilometers from Pattaya. You can only get there by boat, there is no inexpensive ferry service with them.

Outlying islands near Pattaya

1. Ko Samet.

Located an hour and a half from Pattaya.

Located on the territory of the National Marine Park, therefore, the ecology is closely monitored here, there are almost no paved roads. The sea is very clean, the beaches are half empty (especially the southern ones, far from the pier). You can come here for a week, a month, a year - there will be no problems with housing, food and entertainment: bars, restaurants, fire shows, Thai boxing.

2. Koh Chang Island.

The second largest island in Thailand, after. Located 300 km from Pattaya and quite close to the Cambodian border.

Completely "ready to eat", there are hotels, shops, small markets, banks, restaurants, massage parlors, bars (including with girls), fire shows in the evenings, live music, Full Moon Parties at Lonely Beach (disco under open air, like the one that takes place on Koh Phangan). It makes sense to come here for at least a few days. The sea is clean, there are few people, in some parts of the coast there is no one at all. There is a rental of motorbikes and kayak boats. Motor sports are practically absent, as they follow the environment.

Here's what's interesting: there are about a billion entries on blogs and forums about how to get to Koh Lan from Pattaya, and the lion's share of them does not reflect the full picture. After all, how it happens: a tourist takes a ferry to Koh Lan, photographs a sign with a timetable and then uploads it to the Internet. Often unaware of the fact that ferries to Koh Lan from Pattaya are of two types, and they bring them to two different beaches. And besides the ferry, there are two more ways to get from Pattaya to Koh Lan.

How to get to Koh Lan from Pattaya: three ways

Ferry: the cheapest way to get from Pattaya to the islands

How to get to Koh Lan island from Pattaya inexpensively? It's very simple - several times a day ferries leave Pattaya to the island, the ticket price is 30 baht. Ferries start from Bali Hai pier, here is its place on the city map:

On the island of Koh Lan there are two piers: Naban (in the village of the same name) and Tawaen (on the beach of the same name). There are several ferries departing from Pattaya to both of these piers and back every day. Travel time is 45 minutes.

How to get from Pattaya to Koh Lan and back: ferry schedule

  • From Pattaya to Naban Pier: 07:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:30, 17:00, 18:30
  • From Pattaya to Tawaen Pier: 08:00, 09:00, 11:00, 13:00
  • From Naban Pier to Pattaya: 06:30, 07:30, 09:30, 12:00, 14:00, 15:30, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00
  • From Tawaen Pier to Pattaya: 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00

Ferry timetable from Pattaya to Koh Lan with prices.

Why ferries to Koh Lan from Pattaya run more often than back? I have no idea 🙂 But in all our trips to coral island Ko Lan we use this schedule, and so far it has never let us down. But knowing the Thais well, we warn you: it is possible that, like the routes, the ferry schedule may change depending on the mood of their owners. Therefore, when going to Koh Lan, it is better to plan the time so as not to return on the last ferry. Otherwise, you will have to use this article:

Which pier of Koh Lan is better to visit - Naban or Tawaen? I find Tavaen more convenient. Because there are no beaches in Naban - you have to get to them by local minibuses for 30-40 baht. And next to the Tavaen pier there is not only a noisy and muddy beach of the same name, criticized by the authors of the program, but also beautiful.

How to get to Koh Lan from Pattaya: Thais are famous for their hard work and punctuality, so ferries to Koh Lan run on schedule almost always.

Boat from Pattaya to Koh Lan: 2 times faster, 5 times more expensive

What is the fastest way to get to Koh Lan from Pattaya? Naturally, by boat! But this method has its pros and cons. Here are the pros:

  • Speed (you can get to Koh Lan from Pattaya by speedboat in 25-30 minutes).
  • You will be immediately taken to the beach.
  • You don't have to wait for the ferry either there or back.

And the main disadvantage, of course, is one: the price. Moreover, it can be different. After all, you can get by boat from Pattaya to Koh Lan in two ways.

  • From Bali Hai Pier. Price - 150 baht one way. But here you have to wait until the boat is full. As a rule, it does not take a lot of time, but it can be anything.
  • From any beach in Pattaya. Thai boatmen will be happy to offer you their services and are ready to pick you up from any place convenient for you on the shore. The price of such a "taxi" can be any, depending on the number of people wishing to get to Koh Lan from Pattaya and their ability to bargain. Aim for 2500-3000 baht for the whole boat in both directions with waiting.
