The oil fields discovered in the 60s of the last century on the territory of the emirate provided additional opportunities for Abu Dhabi for rapid development and transformation of the faceless desert into a blooming oasis.
From ancient history to the present day in Abu Dhabi, only Fort Al Husn(XIX century), also known as Old or White Fort... At the very beginning, it was erected to protect the true treasure of the desert - the purest source of artesian water. From here you can easily get to any other emirate: the "capital" Abu Dhabi, the "tourist" Ajman and Sharjah and three others that are not of particular interest and are not very suitable for travel in terms of comfort.
Almost in the center of Dubai is the Burj Khalifa - literally "Khalifa Tower", formerly called "Dubai Tower". The height of the structure, which looks like a regular stalagmite, reaches 650 meters in the roof and almost 830 meters, including the antenna. There are 163 floors in total. Inside there are offices of international companies, luxury apartments owned by wealthy residents of the city or rented visitors, a separate hotel, a restaurant, viewing platforms and even several large fountains.
From the roof and observation decks of the Khalifa Tower, which can be reached by the world's fastest elevator (its speed reaches 15 meters per second), a magnificent view of the city opens. Musical Fountain (Dubai)
The tallest and one of the longest fountains in the world, the Dubai Fountain, is located near the Khalifa Tower in an artificial lake with a total area of 12 hectares. The jets thrown out by him, lining up in more than a thousand compositions, reach a height of 150 meters; the bed of the fountain stretches from north to south for almost 280 meters.
The complex - it is difficult to call it just a fountain - is illuminated by 25 powerful colored and 6500 point white spotlights: at night, refracting in streams of water, they create a truly magical sight. In the future, the maximum jet height is planned to be increased to 270–280 meters; in the meantime, smoke generators and gas injectors have been added to the spotlights: now it not only glows, but also shimmers with fire or is covered with smoke.
The glow emanating from "Dubai" at night can be seen within a radius of 30 kilometers, but it is better not to be lazy and walk to the observation deck: from 18:00 to 23:00 a real show takes place here every day: jets glow and dance to a variety of music - from songs of local artists to world hits.

Ferrari World Park (Abu Dhabi)
After walking around Dubai, it will not hurt to change the scenery and visit the official capital of the United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi.
