In the daytime, many are laid out along the beach sun loungers and umbrellas... Renting a sunbed with an umbrella for the whole day costs 100-150 baht.

Because of a large number tourists do not have time to harvest the yarn, so it can hardly be called clean.

Built along the Beach many hotels: from inexpensive hotels and hostels to comfortable 5-star hotels. Most of them are 3 and 4 star hotels. Most cheap hotels can cost an average of 260 baht. Bang Tao

This beach can be called one of the quietest and most peaceful beaches in Phuket. We added it to the list of the best beaches in Phuket for its cleanliness, lack of tourist crowds and for its distance of the road (unlike most of the cases with beaches in Thailand).

Fits for family vacation with children and young couples.

Bang Tao Beach stretches for 8 km. Tall trees grow along the entire beach, which provide natural shade. Fine white sand beach. The entrance to the sea is shallow and muddy.

Sun loungers are rented on the beach (150-200 baht). Some of them belong to a cafe on the beach and sun loungers are provided free of charge for clients.

Kamala

Another exotic beach in Phuket, which can be safely called one of the best beaches on the island.

Best to come to Kamala beach during high season (November to March). During the monsoon season, it becomes dangerous to swim on the beach, and special flags appear along the beach, and the winds raise big waves for surfers.

Mostly people come here to rest married couples with children and older couples.

Beach and sea it is kept clean, there are no pebbles and sharp shells in the sand. The sea itself is blue. Waves in the season do not occur here. The entrance to the sea is shallow and fenced off from boats.

Note: it is better to avoid swimming in the southern part of the beach, as there is a small boat parking there and the place is not very clean.

Here you can hide from the sun under the palm trees that grow along coastline... Also, sun loungers are rented here for 100 baht.

There are no crowds of tourists on this beach, only in the high season their number increases slightly. In the northern part, there is a place where you can relax in complete privacy (between the Novotel and Kamala Beach).

For entertainment tourists here have jet skis, banana, parachute flights behind a motor boat, you can dive with a mask. Relaxing entertainment includes massage, cafes and restaurants. Also on Kamala there is a bright show "Phuket Fantasea" (Phuket Fantasea).

There is no nightlife on the beach: bars, noisy discos, etc.

Concerning hotels, then there are many good options... We advise you to pay attention to the Novotel hotel (we mentioned it above). There is a good beach here: clean and well-groomed. The hotel is surrounded by exotic greenery and is as close to the beach as possible.

Budget hotel options can be found on Beach Road. The further from the beach, the cheaper the hotel.

Not far from the beaches there are several 7-Eleven shops, a small market.

Nai Harn

It is considered one of the best beaches in Phuket due to the picturesque area around it. The beach itself is small (relative to the previous beaches) - about 0.7 km. The beach is separated by small mountains on two sides.

Mostly they go to rest on Nai Harn married couples with children or simply romantic couple.

Best to come during the autumn-winter period, at this time there are no waves or they are small. In the spring and summer, it is better to refrain from going to this beach if you are not keen on surfing. At this time, winds and dangerous underwater currents reign here.

It's quiet and quiet place where there is practically no entertainment. The silence is supported by the absence motor boats... Royal regattas are sometimes held here, when you can see many sailing yachts.

Sea and beach: clean with white sand. There are no stones or sharp shells in the sand. The entrance to the sea is shallow.

On the beach, umbrellas and mattresses are rented (2 mattresses + umbrella = 200 baht).

Entertainment: Thai massage services are available on the beach. There are many small cafes along the beach. There are several attractions not far from the beach ( Buddhist temple, lake and observation deck).

On the beach itself hotels few, but in 10 minutes (outside the territory of the temple) hotels are much more and you can find a room from 700 baht. The most prestigious and expensive hotel is the hotel "The Nai Harn". Wealthy people, including participants in the regatta, stay here.

By November, Phuket begins the "high" season. The southwest wind, carrying moisture from the sea, is completely replaced by the monsoon from the northeast. Along the entire Andaman coast, it finally turns into a cool period. To objectively describe the climate of Phuket, I will tell you about everything possible options in November, as well as about interesting events, holidays and excursions at this time.

Weather in Phuket in November

Phuket beaches in November

Due to the change of winds in November, the sea in Phuket calms down. There are no longer those big waves, covering headlong, as in the monsoon season. Red flags prohibiting swimming hardly appear on the beaches. But still it is worth being careful with the reverse currents on deep beaches: Karon and Mai Khao. ... Bathing areas on public beaches are fenced off and marked with red and yellow flags. The sea calms down not only in Phuket. Waves disappear throughout the Andaman Sea region. Year after year is not necessary. Sometimes already in October the sea becomes calm, and then the excitement continues until mid-November. To swim with children, choose the shallower or sheltered from the winds beaches: Kata, Nai Yang, Tri Trang, Panwa, Ao Yon. The water temperature remains at the same level + 27-28 degrees.

Phuket November prices

From November 1st, the official "high season" begins in Phuket hotels. Accommodation prices are increasing, but remain well below the "peak" New Year period. In November, you can save a lot by enjoying the magnificent sea with still uncrowded beaches. Also in November, prices for some services and excursions increase, travel agencies set the cost of the high season. But the prices in restaurants and on makashnitsa do not depend at all on the month, because in summer months enough tourists come to Phuket.

Excursions in Phuket in November

In the first month of the high season, it is pleasant to go not only to the neighboring islands, but also to go on an excursion in the jungle, raft down the river on a raft or a bamboo raft,. It is especially good at this time: the sea is already calm, the visibility is excellent, and there are not so many people. In November, for certified divers, safaris begin for several days to Similan, Richelieu Rock and others distant islands, underwater world which is considered the best in Thailand. Evening shows are at your service all year round:, and.

At the end of November, Phuket hosts the Laguna Triathlon. This event annually brings together thousands of participants who have to swim 1.8 km, then cycle 55 km and run 12 km. Competitions are held at the Laguna complex on Bangtao Beach.

And, of course, in November there is nowhere without holidays in Thailand. Romantic is celebrated throughout the Kingdom. In every city on this day, Thais come to the reservoir and launch small boats made of flowers and leaves, and then send sky lanterns into the air. You will find out the exact dates of Loi Krathong and announcements of other events in Phuket in my groups

Going to Phuket and tangled up in the beaches? Or is it not your first vacation on the island and want to try a new place? We will help you choose the best beach in Phuket.

What is the best beach in Phuket? As always, it is impossible to give an unambiguous answer - everything is so subjective. After all, privacy is important for someone, but for someone - night life... Therefore, we will give brief description to each and we will tell whom it is more suitable for.

All Phuket beaches on the map

Patong (Patong Beach)

Patong is many-sided: reckless party-goers, quiet introverts, families with children, and romantic couples rest here. How do they all get along? It's simple: everyone finds their own corner.

Most tourists in the reviews consider it the best beach in Phuket. Those who appreciate the comfort and availability of the benefits of civilization, and also love the nightlife, come here. We ourselves have lived there three times. If you want peace and quiet, choose another resort or hotel away from the noisy center.

The infrastructure of the resort is very developed. Many, there is a large shopping center "Jangceylon" with a Big C hypermarket, cafes, restaurants and makashnits at every step. Countless hotels, guesthouses and resorts.

Patong is quite clean - it is cleaned every day. Mealy White sand and turquoise calm water, a gentle entrance, there is a lot of shade on the shore. There are no secluded places, but you can go where there are fewer people.

Karon Beach

Karon seemed to us like a mini-Patong: there are also a lot of people, developed infrastructure, there is some kind of nightlife. Most of the rest are Russians, especially with children. Karon is the second most popular after Patong. There are many tourists among the tourists who consider it the best beach in Phuket. Suitable for everyone, except for lovers of solitude.

Karon is long and wide. There is very little shadow, you need to rent a sunbed and an umbrella. The sand is similar to Patong - fine and squeaky - but not so light. The water is clear when there are no waves. The entrance to the sea is shallow, but the sea is deep. There are rip currents, so be careful. Supervise children while bathing.

Last Minute Tours search on services and - they compare prices of 120 popular tour operators. Want to save money? Explore our.

We give a discount of 1500 rubles! Enter coupon UAFT1500make-trip when buying a tour to Thailand in the amount of 80,000 rubles for and get a discount.

Kata Beach

Kata is almost the same as Karon. They even merged in our memories. There are also many Russians, similar sand, an island in the sea. Only along the coast is the hotel stretched, which is why there are only two exits to Kata Beach - in the north and south. Accordingly, there are almost no cafes and restaurants on the shore. Suitable for couples with children, because the entrance to the sea is shallow, and the depth increases gradually.

Kata Noi Beach

A very nice little beach with picturesque stones on the sides. I remembered it for the heavenly water and the pacifying atmosphere. Quiet, there are not many people. Of the minuses - there is almost no shadow, you will have to rent an umbrella. We would call Kata Noi one of the best beaches in Phuket for a calm and romantic getaway, as well as families with children.

The infrastructure is almost undeveloped: there are few shops, cafes and hotels. But all this is in Katya - it's easy to get there. There are expensive and beautiful hotels on the shore.

Nai Harn Beach

We believe that this is one of the best beaches in Phuket for a relaxing holiday, but not far from civilization. It was chosen by Russians (as, indeed, almost all the beaches of the island) and families with children.

Fine clean sand, gentle entrance, no waves. There is little shadow, but there are umbrellas. There is a minimum infrastructure: toilet and shower, restaurants, cafes and makashnits. The nature is picturesque, beautiful views to the green hills. People come here specially from other places. The bike parking is large. Nearby there is a lake with a temple and a shady park, windmills with an observation deck.

Ao Sane Beach

This is a tiny but extremely cute boulder beach near Nai Harn - a short bike ride past the Naiharn On The Rock Hotel. There is a restaurant where you can rent snorkeling and diving equipment, and a hotel. There are sun loungers and umbrellas.

Yanui (Ya Nui Beach)

We really liked it here! Almost idyllic landscapes, few people. The shadow is thick, but it is not enough. Yanui attracted us with the purest water in which colorful fish swim, a sandy isthmus and a rocky rock-peninsula, where you can climb - which we did. Best beach in Phuket for those who are tired of the hectic pace of life.

The only negative is that there are few areas in the sea where there are no stones. Children usually flop there. At low tide, stones are exposed and fish swim in the backwaters. Have coral slippers.

From the infrastructure - a couple of restaurants across the road, inland - hotels. There are kayak and snorkeling equipment rentals.

Independent travelers we advise you to look for hotels on the Roomguru.ru service. He will help you find the most low price... Not sure how to use it? Read the tips,.

Rawai and Chalong

These are technical beaches, you don't swim on them. Very dirty and smelly. But here is cheap accommodation and food, which many longsters use: they rent a house with a bike and go to other beaches.

Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach is conventionally divided into three parts. In the south, up to the bridge, the road runs close to the sea. Tough things are going on there: boats, a lot of garbage, the water is dirty and no one is bathing. There are several restaurants.

All tourists are concentrated in the center and in the north, across the river: there are umbrellas and sun loungers, cafes, food hawkers. There are many people. The sand is cleaned here, the water is also clean. There are surf waves, but in general the sea is quite calm (but out of season, according to tourists, it is stormy and dangerous).

The resort is comfortable for rest and living: there are calm beach, and more or less developed infrastructure, and civilized Patong nearby. Suitable for almost all categories of vacationers.

Surin Beach

Cute beach with shallow yellow sand and very clean water. Rocky capes along the edges form a cozy cove. There are few shadows, but there are umbrellas. Calm and quiet. Suitable for everyone, except for lovers of nightlife.

The sand is clean, but it gets muddy closer to the road. The "promenade" itself is terrible and shocked us: mud, puddles, debris. The infrastructure is minimal, but there is everything you need: cheap food(food court across the road), toilet and shower, bike parking.

Bang Tao Beach

The giant beach in Phuket is the second longest after Mai Khao - it stretches for about 7 km. Ban Tao is suitable for a relaxing family vacation - it seemed to us one of the most deserted. A casuarine grove with palm trees grows almost along the entire coast, so there is a shadow, but in the afternoon it almost disappears.

Developed infrastructure in the south: sun loungers, water activities, cafes and shops. There are many hotels, clubs, bars. The sand is clean, the water is calm, but suspended. The center and the north are much less populated and developed. central District- the most beautiful, well-groomed and respectable: there is a lagoon formed by a network of lakes. There are many expensive hotels and resorts around the lagoon. The north is almost deserted, but there are villas.

I really did not like the area next to the Green Leaf restaurant (outside the beach, where there is parking) - such a dump! Pigs and chickens rummage in it. There is an unbearable stench.

Phuket has a dry and wet season. In the dry season, winds blow from the land, so the sea remains calm, it is pleasant and safe to swim in it. In the wet season, the direction of the wind changes and large waves rise at the sea, it becomes dangerous to swim in the sea. This is indicated by red flags along the coast. But even in such an unfavorable season for holidaymakers, some remain suitable for swimming. We will talk about them in this article. And also I will tell you about the beaches on which the biggest waves rise.

When do big waves rise?

When choosing places to stay in Phuket, you need to consider the following important point like waves. From December to April there is usually a cloudless sky and calm, calm weather. But, since April, the north-western monsoons come to the island, blowing from the ocean, and powerful waves up to three meters high rise to the sea. High season is waning and amateurs beach holiday leaving the coast. And the time of big waves lasts from May to October. It is during these months that Phuket becomes a mecca for surfers around the world.

Phuket beaches where there are no waves

During the high season, there are no big waves anywhere on this Thai island. But in low season most of Phuket's beaches have big waves. However, there are beaches that are calm all year round. Most of them are located on the east coast of the island.

Cape Panwa or Panwa Bay is located in the eastern part of the island, south of Phuket Town. Here, almost all year round, regardless of the season, there is a quiet and calm sea. The only negative: there are often strong ebb tides in the bay, exposing underwater rocks that are ugly and unsafe for swimmers.

Ao Yong

Translated from Thai, the name of the beach Ao Yon means the bay. From the name it is clear that this part of the coast is protected from waves and wind even during the low season. it beautiful place with beautiful landscapes. There is a local yacht club on Ao Yon and there are many sailboats in the bay.

Three Trang

South of Patong is located. It is located in the bay. Since the coastal strip is surrounded on all sides by a chain of hills, waves do not reach there. The only negative is the strong ebb tide, during which you cannot swim. The sea goes very far from the coast, strongly exposing the rocky bottom.

Nai Yang

Is a part National park Thailand. It is a little secluded but picturesque place with little developed infrastructure. The coastal area is protected by a huge coral reef, so there is always a calm sea, there are no high waves and strong underwater currents. During low tides, the sea is far enough away from the coast.

Coral island

Also, to swim in the calm sea and sunbathe, you can go to neighboring island-. This is an amazingly beautiful island with white sand and dense tropical vegetation. The island is surrounded by hills on all sides, so the coastal waters are very calm here. When entering the sea, the edge of the coast does not break off, but smoothly goes into the depths. At low tide, the seabed is exposed, and there are coral reefs a few meters from the island.

Where are the biggest waves?

The height of the waves off the coast of this tropical island, from the point of view of professional surfers, is considered low (up to 3 meters). But such waves will appeal to beginners and fans of this sport. But even surfers are not averse to riding here during the calm period on other spots in the world. However, swimming on such beaches is dangerous. The most popular surfing spots are located in the southwestern part of the coast.

Karon

From April to October, powerful ocean waves roll on the beach, driven by southwestern winds. practically unaffected by ebb tides. During the low season, the sandbank moves rapidly, creating high waves, which makes these places not entirely safe.

The movement of the sandbank generates waves from all directions. With a slight and variable wind, the wave rises up to 2 meters in height.

Kata

Is the most popular destination for. The waves usually rise up to 2 m. Both beginners and professionals like to ride the waves here. You should be careful in the south of the beach, as there are quite a few stones under the water. Kata Beach is not safe for swimming during the rainy season.

Surin

The beach is not affected by the ebb tide. Off-season provides excellent surfing opportunities. Here you can catch a good wave, both during tidal currents and in low water. You should beware of the accumulation of large rocks in the middle of the beach. But the northern and southern parts of the coast are absolutely free.

Mai Kao

The 10 km long beach is a very deserted place. It is not safe to swim here, as even a weak wind can catch up with high waves. Due to a sharp decline seabed and many underwater currents, even surfing is controversial. The water goes far from the coast during low tides.

Kalim

Kalim Beach is located in the western part of Phuket, north of Patong. During low tide, sharp rocky heaps and rocks are revealed. The place is not quite suitable for swimming due to the abundance of coral reefs and rocks at the bottom. In the "off" season surfers come to the beach in pursuit of a big wave.

Kamala

A very popular place among tourists during the "hot" season. Pure water, light sand and calm sea attract vacationers. Ebb tide behaves changeably in different parts beach and do not interfere with swimming. But the southwestern monsoons coming to Kamala Bay raise big waves on the sea. In the north of the beach, the wave can reach three meters in height and, bumping into coastal reefs, rise even higher.

So in the low season western beaches Phuket is not suitable for swimming, it is better to give preference at this time of year east coast... During heavy tropical rains, with the arrival strong winds and the appearance of large waves, a lot of garbage is thrown out of the ocean on the coast, even at high tide.

The weather on Phuket, as well as on any other island, is subject to the monsoons. From December to March, the weather is hot and dry, and from April to November the winds begin to blow, bringing with them bad weather and heavy rainfall, and the rainy season begins. With the arrival of monsoons, not only bad weather hits the island, but also waves on the sea are formed. Sometimes they reach 3 meters. They bring various garbage and "throw" it on the shore, so the beaches are not very clean.

Some tourists come to Thailand during the rainy season and see all this "beauty". They have the wrong opinion about the beaches of the island. And where is the promised Bounty? In order not to be disappointed, you need to choose the right time of rest, namely from December to April.

What is the sea in Phuket

Oddly enough, but many do not know what sea in Phuket, so - we open the veil of secrecy - in Phuket, the Andaman Sea! Andaman Sea is part Indian Ocean... So now you know what sea in Phuket is :)

When there are big waves in Phuket

If from April to May it is still possible to gently wallow in the water, then the biggest waves occur in June-August, when swimming becomes dangerous and difficult.

The situation is generally favorable, the influence of low tides is almost negligible. They rarely come to the northern part of the beach.

Kalim

This is just Northern part Patong beach. The entry to the sea on Kalima is rather rocky and during low tide sharp stones and rocks are revealed. However, at the same time, together with the stones, various Marine life, which can now be seen without even going into the water.

The ebb is practically invisible.

The water goes very far, but this good time for bathing children.

The ebb and flow does not interfere with swimming.

Slightly subject to changes in water depth.

As we can see, the most popular beaches practically do not "know" what the ebb and flow is. All of them are located in the western part of the island. However, it should be borne in mind that due to big waves and strong winds from April to October, there can be a lot of garbage even at high tide, and especially if no one is cleaning the beach.
