A certain role in the formation of the weather in Venice is played by its close location to the Adriatic Sea, from which showers with thunderstorms often fall on the coast. The famous Amalfi coast, in my opinion, is worth a visit, but not a beach holiday. During this period, the narrow picturesque road along the sea was free of traffic, and medieval white-stone towns were not yet occupied by tourists.
Neapolitans creep out into the streets after a winter slowdown, and the piazza Bellini is filled with bustling youth in the evenings - a perfect setting to end your day with an aperitif in one of the bars, listen to music of Italian speech and relax before a delicious dinner. By the way, March and April are the season for such exotic vegetables (in the opinion of a resident of the middle lane), such as artichokes and asparagus, you will not try them fresh again at any time of the year.
End of April - beginning of May
The period from the end of April to the beginning of May is also good for urban tourism, but for me a special charm is in the outings into nature, mainly in the mountains. Trekking is very popular in Italy, and there are many developed - marked and described, of course, in Italian, mountain routes.
Spring in the mountains is a wonderful miracle! In addition to fresh greenery, warm sunshine (a cream from it will not hurt) and a cool breeze (a windbreaker is also useful), you will be amazed at the variety of plants, see and feel wild aromatic herbs, countless spring flowers and succulents. Asparagus and artichokes are still eaten at the end of April, and strawberries can be found in May.

Autumn
September - early October - good time for sea recreation, something like velvet season when it is still hot, but the sun is already softer and does not incinerate. The days are getting a little shorter, but the sea gives all its summer warmth, resort towns are moving away from the tourist excitement, everything is very relaxed and unhurried. At this time they like to arrange city festivals, holidays, sagrams. This is still the period of the most delicious summer fruits and vegetables - zucchini, eggplant, sweet peppers, watermelons and melons.
The period from the end of October to November brings surprises with the weather, but it is comfortable for urban tourism, reveals autumn beauty in the mountains, and is good for those who like to wander along a deserted beach without fear of getting caught in the drizzling rain. Gourmets of this period will delight with dishes from porcini mushrooms, chestnuts and truffles.
Winter
You may be lucky with the weather (then during the day you will walk without a jacket), or maybe not (then it is better to put on rubber boots and not part with your umbrella).
December
December is the month of Christmas with all the ensuing consequences. Naples has a peculiarity that is why tourists from all over Italy flock here during this period - Christmas nativity scenes (presepi). The nativity scene makers even have their own street, San Gregorio Armeno. January and February
January and February are normal winter months when it gets dark early and it can get cold and windy, it can rain, or the sun can come out and bring a feeling of spring. At the same time, Naples is terribly interesting not only outside, but also inside - museums (archaeological, classical art, modern), catacombs, castles, caves (inside the city), villas, churches, palaces, the first in the world Opera theatre San Carlo - there is something to see here even if the weather happens.
In February, throughout Italy, there is a carnival week, the traditions of which in Naples are very different from those in Venice. It is customary to dress up children here))))
