All about mui ne vietnam. Mui Ne resort in Vietnam: pros and cons of rest and our review of the village. Forgotten Land Sand Sculpture Park

Mui Ne is a famous Vietnamese resort located 4 hours drive from the capital of Vietnam Hanoi and 15 minutes drive from Phan Thiet (a small fishing town). The road, of course, is exhausting (especially after a long flight of about 9 hours), but believe me, it's worth it. The voucher can be bought from the tour operator, then the guide will meet you, sit you in a comfortable bus, and all the way will tell you about the sights and the resort. You can also order a taxi to the hotel, which costs the same for the money, and you will get there much faster.

Interesting fact about Vietnam:

According to legend, the Vietnamese people descended from a dragon and a fairy bird

This is not the first time we have been resting here and we plan to return again. Mui Ne is ideal for families quiet rest.

The resort guide (which you will be given upon arrival) advertises the trendy clubs:

"Unique, trendy hangout place"

“Unique atmosphere. Dance floor on the sand, dancers "

"Dancing on the bar until the morning"

If they don't give you a guide, then take a look outside in the evening. It is distributed free of charge in the center. The guide looks like a magazine.

Don't believe it. If anyone will dance until the morning, it will be you and your company. People come to Mui Ne to take a break from the bustle of the city, go for spa treatments, swim, eat delicacies, see the sights in the area, go windsurfing or kitesurfing, go shopping, but not hang out.

Captivates attitude local residents to tourists. The Vietnamese are very well-mannered and love Russian tourists. They are always welcoming and helpful. They speak Russian more willingly than English language, since the Russian language was previously included in the compulsory educational program of the Vietnamese.

Interesting fact about Vietnam:

You can also get from Moscow to Vietnam by train. True, this will require 1 change in Beijing, and the entire journey will take at least 7 days.

Vietnamese do not ask for tips, but, on the contrary, are very surprised when you leave for a tip in a restaurant. A couple of times the waiters even ran after us to return the forgotten money. And when we said what kind of service it was, we were very surprised, thanked, and once we took the mango with us. It is very nice.

Every time we stay in Mui Ne in different hotels... But having visited Vietnam several times, we have developed a strategy for the selection of a hotel. Read more about how we choose a hotel in Vietnam.

The country is surprised by the large number of motorbikers and taxis. Local residents hardly walk, so there are almost no pedestrian paths. In Mui Ne itself, you can move around on foot, but if you decide to go somewhere, it is better to use transport. Read about transport in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet in. The taxi driver is responsible for you. And what is surprising in Vietnam, if you use the services of a local taxi (white-green cars), you can trust him: he will take you wherever you ask, bring you back and nothing will happen with the bags left in his car, don't even worry. While shopping in Phan Thiet, we drove the whole city in one taxi, he helped us put our bags in the car, waited for us and explained what is worth seeing and how to quickly get to the store we need.

Remember

The Vietnamese also cross the road not along the passage, but anywhere. The basic rule: do not fuss or panic, but calmly move on. The driver will drive around you. Of course, I would not recommend throwing yourself under the wheels.

Vietnam is famous for its fruits (read in the article) and delicacies (read more in the articles - and). Fruit can be bought on almost every corner. These are mango, watermelon, rambutan, durian, and many others. Their prices are much lower than in Russia, and they are juicier and more ripe.

You can also buy fruit to take on the road. The seller must be told that you want to take the fruit with you. Then they will pick you fruits that will withstand the long flight and immediately pack them.

Vietnam is famous for its seafood delicacies. Come to Mui Ne and not try huge grilled shrimps, octopuses, lobsters ... And everything is much cheaper than in Russia, and most importantly, fresh.

Whom can you find in the waters of the South China Sea?

Vietnam has a rich history and culture. So there is something to see here. We still haven't seen all of Vietnam.

Interesting fact about Vietnam:

Vietnam was part of China for about 1000 years

I'll start talking about what we saw and where we were in order:

  1. Phan Thiet
  • Prenn park, in more detail;
  • entertainment center Datanla with a waterfall, more details;
  • Temple of the Sitting Buddha, more details;
  • Chuk Lam monastery, more details;
  • hotel "Crazy House", more details;
  • silk factory, more details;
  • a visit to a tea and coffee plant, in more detail.

This is all that we have visited in Vietnam, having rest several times in Mui Ne. In the immediate vicinity of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, we have not yet seen the lotus lake, sand dunes, red canyon, Chinese temple in Phan Thiet. So, I think we will also visit Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, not to mention Vietnam itself.

Vietnam is a country where you can try for relatively little money compared to Russia not only seafood delicacies (for more details, see

There are no architectural sights in Mui Ne itself, so if you cannot imagine a trip without a mandatory hike through the cult ruins and ancient temples, get ready for field excursions. Most often, local guides offer a ride to the Tap Poshanu Cham towers, which were once part of a gigantic temple complex built in honor of the god Shiva. 300 years ago, the sanctuary was destroyed, but the turn did not reach the towers, so in the 90s they were restored and tourists began to be taken inside. In addition to travelers, in these ancient structures you can often meet local fishermen who bring their gifts to local deities in exchange for good luck in business. If you drive 60 kilometers from Mui Ne, you can stumble upon another religious landmark, a 49-meter statue of the reclining Buddha. The deity nestled comfortably on the slope of Mount Taku, where the cable car leads. The place is very popular with pilgrims, so the Buddha almost always has visitors.

Travelers who prefer miraculous sights are usually persuaded to go on an excursion to the Red and White Dunes. The former are located immediately behind the fishing village of the resort, but the latter will have to drive at least 35 km. They visit these places mainly in order to meet an Asian sunset in a romantic setting, take spectacular photos and slide down the steep sandy slopes on a plastic "sled". Another popular spot that can be reached on foot and without an annoying guide is Red Stream or Fairy Stream, as the locals call it. The main feature of this modest source is the play on contrasts. Yellow-red sandstone piles hang over the stream on one side, and lush exotic thickets adjoin it on the other. For the Martian landscapes, it is better to go to the Red Canyon, which is 19 km from Mui Ne (entrance is paid), but true aesthetes and subtle natures are advised to choose the route to the lotus lake. True, in the latter case, you will have to guess with the season: the approximate period of lotus blooming is from July to September.

Beaches

The beaches of Mui Ne are an ideal place for passive contemplative relaxation and doing nothing, but with a rich nightlife it's very tight here. Conventionally, the coastline of the resort is divided into three zones: East End(Ham Tien), central beach(Bai Rank) and West Coast(Puff). The most uncrowded beach is unanimously Ham Tien, adjoining on one side the very fishing village of Mui Ne, from which the resort grew. Local hotels do not burden themselves with cleaning the territory, so Ham Tien does not shine with glossy cleanliness, but there is more than enough authenticity here. Some come here to look at the "basins" of local fishermen swaying on the waves, others - in search of an inexpensive bungalow, but still others use this territory as an opportunity to take a shortcut to the Fairy Creek and Red Dunes - local attractions.

Similar to the "basins" boats of local fishermen

Central Beach or Bai Rang is a natural extension of Ham Tien, almost 10 km long. The narrow and often pretty littered strip of the coast boasts a decent infrastructure and walking distance to mid-range hotels. However, the further west you go, the cleaner, more spacious and, accordingly, the more crowded the beach becomes. In addition, this part of Bai Rang has the most big waves, which automatically adds it to the list best places for surfing and kiting.

The status of the most comfortable place for swimming and relaxing rest is still behind Puhai. Since this part of the resort has been staked out by fashionable hotel complexes, the cleanliness of the coastal zone is carefully monitored here. Of course, sun loungers and umbrellas on Puhai are only for guests. local hotels but access to the beach itself is open to everyone.

Surfing in Mui Ne

The most "correct" waves excite the sea surface of the Mui Ne Bay in the autumn-winter season, therefore, during this period, the resort is especially bustling and crowded. Besides classic surfing, the South China Sea offers some pretty good kiteboarding opportunities. For beginners who have just begun to comprehend the basics of these sports, it is better to go out to sea in the morning, when the wind is not yet strong enough to "break" the wave. But hardened extreme lovers on the beaches usually appear in the afternoon, when the wind is gaining full strength. Another pleasant feature of the resort is the high water temperature, which gives the tourist the opportunity to save money on the purchase of a wetsuit.

Those who have forgotten to bring their sports equipment on the way to Mui Ne will be happy to rent it out at resort rental centers and surfer schools. Usually the rent for a "board" does not exceed 150,000 VND per hour (about 390 rubles), while for the services of an experienced instructor you will have to pay no less than 1,350,000 VND (3,530 rubles).

The best place for surfing and kiteboarding is the western part of the resort: there are no rocks and hidden shoals that can spoil the pleasure of your vacation and seriously injure the hapless "wave catcher". True, in the season between bathers, kiters and surfers, a serious rivalry begins for spheres of influence. There are only two ways out in such cases: to take risks and try to maneuver in the thick of boards balancing on the water ridges, or go in search of a more secluded place.

Mui Ne food

The resort's cuisine is multinational: in addition to traditional Vietnamese-style restaurants, Mui Ne is full of French, Italian and Russian cafes. By the way, in any local eatery you can find a menu in Russian, which saves the tourist from having to order a pig in a poke. With prices, the situation is slightly ambiguous. For example, the cheapest place to eat is in authentic Vietnamese cafes and foshnitsa canteens, since almost all of the delicacies there are either grown in the neighborhood or caught by local fishermen. In international taverns most of imported products, respectively, and the bill for lunch in such establishments is 2-3 times higher. However, if you do not order exotic things like shark steaks and crocodile barbecue, then unpleasant surprises in the form of an astronomical score can be avoided.

It is customary to buy fruits in Mui Ne right on the street, from hawkers, however, it is worth considering that prices in places of high traffic will be higher. To find cheaper gifts of Vietnamese land, you will have to dive into the tiny alleys extending from the main street of the resort, or get up early in the morning and drive to the Ham Tien morning market.

Shopping

As edible presents from Mui Ne, tourists take all kinds of fruits, dried and dried seafood and local coffee. You can find in the resort shops and original accessories made of crocodile leather, as well as jewelry made from natural pearls. These souvenirs are, of course, decent, but still cheaper than in Russian stores.

From cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, coconut oil and warming balms based on snake venom are still in trend. It is better to buy the latter in a pharmacy: this way there is less chance of buying an unknown and useless product. As for the legendary Vietnamese silk, it is worth looking in more large cities as well as cheap clothes.

Prices for souvenir products in Mui Ne are usually very democratic, which makes it tempting to buy a lot of funny, but absolutely useless things. Those who are in search of interesting authentic gifts should save a certain amount before an excursion to the reclining Buddha: next to the giant monument of the deity, there are tents with very exotic souvenirs that cannot be found in Mui Ne itself.

Where to stay

So far, Vietnam remains one of the cheapest Asian countries, so an unpretentious tourist in Mui Ne will not have to go broke for housing. So, for example, a day of living in some modest one-star hotel in the area of Cape Mui Ne will cost 250,000 VND (650 RUB). In hostels, prices are even lower - from 150,000 VND (390 RUB). Moreover, even if you have chosen the cheapest room in a restaurant without stars, you are guaranteed a walking distance to the beach.

Those who value service and a well-groomed coastal area should head towards Phan Thiet: it is in this part of the resort that higher-level hotels are located, which own their own beach areas, which are regularly cleaned and refined. Average cost of a room with breakfast in a "four" like Muine de Century Resort & Spa or Unique Mui Ne Resort and Spa- from 1 800 000 to 2 326 000 VND (4600-6000 RUB). An option for traveling companies and families with children is a separate villa with its own parking, Wi-Fi and other pleasures. Such a house will cost an average of about 3,900,000 VND (from 10,000 RUB). Adherents of economical rest are still in high esteem of guesthouses, prices for a room in which range from 349,000 to 739,000 VND (approximately 900-1900 RUB).

Transport

Mui Ne is a one street resort. The entire infrastructure of the district is a continuous strip of hotels, shops and restaurants, stretching 15 km in parallel sea coast... You can get from one end of the resort to the other, as well as go to neighboring Phan Thiet, by bus that runs daily along the waterfront. The fare is from 9000 VND (about 24 RUB). The fastest (and most traumatic) transport in Mui Ne is motorcycle taxis, masterly maneuvering in the stream of cars and making their way into the narrowest lanes. On average, a trip with a Vietnamese motorcyclist costs from 60,000 to 80,000 VND (157-209 RUB).

For those who are especially prudent and comfortably addicted, a classic taxi is suitable, which can be hailed on the street or called by phone. Almost all cars are equipped with meters, but, just in case, it is better to agree on the final amount of the trip with the driver in advance. The average fare for all taxis is VND 12,000 (RUB 31) per kilometer. In addition, for 60,000 VND (about 157 RUB) in Mui Ne, you can rent a bike and ride around the area as much as you like.

Car rent

Local car rental companies only conclude a rental agreement with drivers who have a Vietnamese license. It is not difficult to obtain this type of document, but all the bureaucratic delays will take at least a week. So, if you do not plan to get out of the resort, it is better to limit yourself by public transport and a taxi.

For those for whom Mui Ne will become only one of the locations on a journey through South Vietnam, the car will not hurt. It is better to rent a car in large cities like Ho Chi Minh City or Nha Trang: there are more offices and a more decent car fleet. Usually, the cost of a daily car rental costs from 500,000 to 1,000,000 VND (about 1300-2600 RUB).

As for the specifics of driving, extreme and experienced drivers will feel most comfortable on Vietnamese roads. Compliance with the rules road traffic locals do not burden themselves, so the risk of being involved in an accident at the resort is very high.

Cellular and Internet

"Viettel" SIM card

There are three mobile operators operating in Mui Ne: Mobifone, Viettel and Vinaphone. The tariffs for all three are approximately the same price category, so it makes no sense to understand all the intricacies. Well, since such a phenomenon as intranet roaming in Vietnam is absent in principle, a SIM card can be purchased in advance in the same Ho Chi Minh City or Nha Trang and ride with it throughout the country. The standard cost of connecting to a local network is 80,000-120,000 VND (about 200-300 RUB). The rates for international calls in Vietnam are also extremely tempting. So, for example, a minute of conversation with a Russian operator will cost some 2500 VND (7 RUB).

Those who cannot imagine their life without social networks and other pleasures of the World Wide Web will have to choose between Wi-Fi in hotels and restaurants (the speed is usually not the highest, and the connection often breaks) and mobile Internet offered by local cellular operators. The prices for the latter are quite humane: 70,000 VND for 600 MB (2.83 RUB) and 200,000 VND for a 3 GB package (about 520 RUB).

The language barrier

The overwhelming majority of tourists coming to Mui Ne are Russian or citizens of the CIS countries, so the traveler at the resort will constantly hear his native speech. Moreover, it is full of signs and advertisements on the "great mighty". As for interaction with the indigenous population, the inhabitants of Mui Ne have a dozen of speech clichés prepared for tourists that will help to at least roughly find out the needs of both parties. Well, in the most difficult cases, good old English, which almost everyone understands here, will help out.

How to get there

The airports closest to Mui Ne are in Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City. Both accept flights not only from the Capital and Northern capital, but also other major cities. In particular, you can fly to Vietnam from Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Omsk. Flights from Moscow are operated by Aeroflot (the only direct flight connecting the capital with Ho Chi Minh City), China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Emirates and Etihad Airwais. Aeroflot, S7 and Turkish Airlines fly from St. Petersburg to Vietnam.

You can get from Ho Chi Minh Airport to Mui Ne by taxi, bus or train, plying between the Vietnamese capital and Phan Thiet. The most convenient and expensive option is a taxi. Since the distance between the resort and the former Saigon is more than 200 km, the trip will cost VND 1,200,000 (approximately RUB 5,700). However, if you bargain well, there is a chance to significantly bring down the price.

The bus trip will cost around 249,000 VND (about 640 RUB), but it will take 5-5.5 hours. You can check the route schedule on the official website of the bus company. An option for the most economical is the train leaving for the resort with Central Station Ho Chi Minh City. Such a trip lasts about 3.5 hours and costs from 94,000 VND (a seat in a shared carriage) to 1,300,000 VND (compartment). You can book tickets on the official website of the railway company, and it is better to do this in advance, since this route is very popular among the Vietnamese themselves.

Mui Ne is a small fishing village on south coast Vietnam. Its closest neighbor is the city of Phan Thiet.

I must admit that at first glance, MUI ne was not impressed. In travel guides, the Mui Ne resort is described as a place with paradise beaches. In fact, due to soil erosion, the beaches here are disappointing rather than enchanting. Some of them are filled with concrete, others are located close to a busy road, which means they are very popular. For a beach holiday in Vietnam, it is best to go to Phu Quoc Island.

Another feature of Mui Ne is that there are a lot of Russian tourists here.

Despite all of the above, as soon as I got to know Mui Ne better, I fell in love with this resort. In this article I will tell you why Mui Ne (Vietnam) is so remarkable and what sights you can see here.

What to do in Mui Ne

Hon Rum beach and water attractions

© [email protected]/ flickr.com

Most of all in Mui Ne I liked Hon Rom beach. It is not the most popular among tourists, because it is located a little in the distance, but it is calm and very beautiful here. This is one of the places in Mui Ne that I recommend visiting if you want a break from the hustle and bustle.

Opposite the beach - rocks bizarre shapes, which in the rainy season are covered with dense green vegetation, and in the dry season - with yellowish grass. From a distance, the mountain looks like a haystack, which is why the place was named "Hon Rom", which means "island of straw".

Many people come to Mui Ne to surf. Long sandy strip and windy weather make Mui Ne ideal place for surfers. On the other hand, because of the high waves, it is inconvenient to swim, and children should not be allowed into the water at all. Diving is not the best in Mui Ne good idea for exactly the same reason. For this entertainment, it is better to choose a beach in neighboring Phan Thiet.

Fishing village in Mui Ne harbor

Not without the distinctive sight of Mui Ne. Fishing village Mui Ne - perfect place to watch local fishermen and eat freshly caught seafood. I highly recommend arriving in the village before 10 am. At this time, anglers return with a catch of live crabs, scallops, rays and perches, and you have every chance to witness this spectacle.

At 7:30 am "blind bidding" takes place here. When fishermen and seafood wholesalers bargain blindly without seeing the product. Sometimes you can hear joyful exclamations here if you manage to buy a rare fish, and sometimes vice versa.

On the southern outskirts of the village, you can find a lot of colorful seashells on the shore. Many tour operators organize excursions to this village from Mui Ne and Ho Chi Minh City. The fishing village is located very close to Mui Ne and if you want to get to know it yourself, you can easily get there by taxi, motorbike or bicycle.

If you are a photographer, then you will love this beautiful place... Be sure to try the fresh seafood at the local market.

Fairy Stream in Mui Ne

© magtravels / flickr.com / CC BY 2.0

Mui Ne has a lot of interesting things. Take Fairy Creek in Vietnam. Not the Grand Canyon, of course, but also a very beautiful place.

Fairy Stream Mui Ne is a small red canyon in Mui Ne. It was called red because of the dramatic combination of red, orange, pink and white colors. Fay Creek is located 18 km northeast of Phan Thiet. This is a water rift that is located next to Hon Rom Island (the already familiar thatched island). On the one hand, white and red sand dunes, on the other coconut trees and flowers.

You can explore Fairy Creek on your own. You just need to go upstream of the river, at the end you will see a small waterfall. Then you can turn around and go back. The walk up and down the canyon will take an hour and a half.

It is very hot to walk along the coast during the day. You can take off your shoes and wade through the river flowing from Dinh Hint Tien Mountain. For the most part, the depth will reach your ankle and only in some places will it rise to the knee.

There are 2 "official" legends about Fairy Creek, which are told by the guides:

  • One says that previously only wives and daughters of high-ranking officials were allowed to swim here;
  • Another, that fairies swam in the stream and in truth, and therefore it has healing powers.

There is also a third legend. That the name of the stream is a tourist attraction. What to believe - choose for yourself.

Wear more comfortable clothes and bring a change of shoes if necessary. Get wet here - once or twice. Here you can ride an ostrich for 100,000 VND. Vietnamese children and adolescents will pester you with an offer to guard your shoes for a fee or to be your guide. If you are not going to use their services, it is better to refuse right away, otherwise they will demand money for walking with the swami next to you.

More active travelers can climb to the top of the sand dunes and rock formations. From there, you will have a breathtaking view of the reddish waters of the river and bizarre stalagmites. Fairy Stream (Suoi Tien in Vietnamese) is free to enter.

Don't be afraid to get hungry, you will come across several food stalls along the way. And upstream there are bars and restaurants.

Where is Fairy Creek: Huynh Thuc Khang, Ham Tien, Phan Thiet - Mui Ne, see.

How to get there: if you go with tourist group then a transfer will be arranged for you. If you do it yourself, you can order a taxi for 80,000 dongs, take a bike or bus number 1, or number 9 for 12,000 dongs.

Dunes of red and white sand

© blue_f / flickr.com / CC BY 2.0

The red and white sand dunes in Mui Ne are one of the main attractions in the region and a veritable mini-desert in Vietnam. There are many tour operators in Mui Ne who organize day trips to the dunes, but you can easily visit them yourself.

White dunes are composed of yellow and white sand... They are very reminiscent of the Sahara. These are the largest dunes in the region. Locals call them "Bau Trang", which translates as "white lake". Here you will find many food and drink stalls. They usually huddle near pine trees, where you can relax in the shade.

The dunes are located 26 km northeast of Mui Ne. On the way to the dunes, you will come across smaller formations of yellow and white sand, the main thing is not to confuse them with the main dunes.

There is another attraction next to the white dunes - Lotus lake... Here you can rent a boat, but swimming is strictly prohibited. The lake is deep - 22 meters, and it is very easy to get entangled with your feet in the stems of the lotus.

Things to consider: It makes sense to come here when the lotus lake is blooming, the rest of the time it is unremarkable. Lotus bloom in Vietnam occurs from early July to late September, the second wave of flowering is shorter and falls in November.

The red dunes of Mui Ne are smaller and closer to the resort - only 17 km away. It has red-brown sand with very beautiful hues that attract many photographers.

Best time to visit the dunes- is it morning or evening. The sand gets very hot during the day. Take plenty of water with you.

It is a lot of fun to ride the ATV on the dunes. Here you can also rent plastic sleds and ride from the dunes like from slides. The main thing is to find a good dune, because sand is constantly flowing from place to place. It is best to slide off dry sand. Many people fly kites here.

The red dunes are very beautiful sunset and many locals come here in the evening for a picnic. The red and white dunes of Mui Ne have not left anyone indifferent.

Cham towers of Poshanu

© [email protected]/ flickr.com / CC BY 2.0

A must-see item in Mui Ne - the Po Shanu Cham Towers are conveniently located on the top of Ong Hoang Hill. The temple complex consists of three cham towers, built in the 8th century. Together with Po Dam Towers and My Son Nature Reserve, these ruins are among the landmarks of the ancient Champa Kingdom. The main tower is 15 meters high, while the other two are 12 and 5 meters high.

Archaeological excavations carried out in 1992-1995 have led to the discovery of several temples dating back to the 15th century. They were all dedicated to Princess Po Shanu, Daughter of King Para Chanh.

If you explore the past of these towers, you will find a fortress used by French and South Vietnamese troops, as well as a memorial in honor of the revolutionaries who launched an attack on the towers in 1947.

Due to its high location, it opens up from here beautiful view to Phan Thiet and the coastline.

How to get there: the Cham towers can be reached from Mui Ne by bike, taxi or even on foot. A beautiful stone signpost with the inscription “Nhomdenthap Cham” will help you not to miss the tower.

The entrance to the territory of the temple complex will cost you 10,000 dong. If you arrive on your bike, you will need to pay an additional 2000 VND for parking.

Mount Taku and the reclining Buddha pagoda

The territory of Mount Taku occupies 250,000 square meters. lush rainforest, rare wildlife, limestone caves and ornate Buddhist shrines. Mount Taku is an hour's drive from Mui Ne. You can reach the top of the mountain in 2 hours hiking or a 10 minute cable car ride.

The first option is suitable for hardy hikers because you have to climb a steep staircase and then a winding path in the middle of the forest. At the end of the path, the Reclining Buddha awaits you. On the way, you will come across several small shrines and a restaurant. When climbing a mountain on your own entrance ticket the temple complex will cost 15,000 dong for adults and 10,000 for children.

If you choose cable car, you will need to pay 160,000 VND for a trip to the top of the mountain. This cost will include the round-trip funicular, entrance ticket and travel by electric car through the territory. The trip itself will take 6-10 minutes. Along the way, you will have breathtaking views of Thuan Nam Town, Ham Thuan An Sea Harbor and Ke Ga Lighthouse, as well as rice fields and dragon trees.

Not so long ago Russian tourists discovered one of the resorts of Vietnam - Phan Thiet. The place loved by many is located in the center of the country, and many people liked it primarily for its mild and comfortable climate. Suffice it to say that the average air temperature throughout the year is 27 degrees Celsius. Hospitable Vietnamese are happy to treat tourists with original seafood dishes. Visitors have a great sand beach with easy access to the sea.

Geographical position

Phan Thiet is located in the south of Vietnam, in the Binhuan province, on the picturesque coast of a warm South China Sea... The area of the resort is two hundred square kilometers. The nearest city is Ho Chi Minh City (distance - 240 kilometers).

Infrastructure

Today, many of our compatriots go on vacation to Vietnam. Phan Thiet (Mui Ne is a popular resort) attracts tourists from all over the world. Here are concentrated the best hotels, characterized by modern and original design, excellent technical equipment and an excellent level of European service. The beach stretches for 22 kilometers, being the longest in Vietnam. Every year in this country, the infrastructure of the recreation area is being developed and improved.

And lovers of picturesque nature will certainly be interested in pink and white dunes. However, nothing beats the experience that Red Canyon makes for all visitors. Its walls are a mixture of red clay and sandstone, and this local landmark was formed as a result of soil erosion. This process continues to this day, and after a while the canyon will disappear, so tourists who want to admire this miracle of nature should hurry up with a trip to Vietnam.

Another attraction of these places is the Lost, or the Lost Sea. It is a lake located deep in the forest on the border of Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces. The locals named it that because of its size, which at first made people think that in front of them was really the sea, which took about 1000 hectares from the forest. It triples in the rainy season. Mount Katong rises to the east of the reservoir.

Poshanu Towers

This is the legacy of the Champa people. They were once part of an ancient temple complex. Fairies, daughters of the goddess Po Nagar, are worshiped here. Three towers have survived the most. Their age is estimated at thirteen centuries. Champa is distinguished by a special architectural style - false doors, rounded columns, reminiscent of Khmer temple buildings. Every year in the first lunar month, the Roh Mbanga and Riji Nuta festivals are held near the towers.

Lighthouse "Ke Ga"

It is located four kilometers from Phan Thiet. This is one of the most famous places in the small province of Binh Thuan. In 1897, the lighthouse was built by the French architect Chenavat. The height of the structure is 64 meters. He was recognized as the most beautiful lighthouse South-East Asia... The octagonal tower is crowned with a lantern capable of illuminating distances of twenty-two

Mui Ne fishing village

This is how local fishermen called their village. During the stormy season, they found refuge here. Translated "mui" means an island or a cape, "not" - a shelter. Transparent blue waters, bright sun, white sand created a magnificent landscape that is pleasant to the eyes of guests from abroad. In addition to exciting excursions, tourists can observe the hard daily work of fishermen and take part in fishing.

Flora and fauna

The forests in these places are ancient. Here you can see an infinite number of the most diverse orchids, which perfectly coexist with trees, which are also very diverse - sandalwood, thuja, cypress, etc. The depths of the sea hide a variety of fish; many birds nest on its shores, and there are many who are not here - from simple pheasants to stately peacocks.

Phan Thiet town

The picturesque area along the calm Phan Thiet River was inhabited many centuries ago, but until the twentieth century it remained a quiet unknown fishing town, or rather, even a village. In ancient times, it was part of the Champa kingdom. Despite its rather modest size, locality played a significant role in the history of the country and presented the Vietnamese people with several outstanding figures of history and culture. Vietnam has many resorts and exotic locations. One of them is the Phan Thiet resort (Vietnam). The townspeople (population is about 200 thousand people) are very hospitable and welcoming. Those of them who are not engaged in the tourism business earn by fishing either agriculture, like their distant ancestors. The main nationalities living in this territory are Vieta, Tyamy, Hoa. Everyone who comes to this pretty town is pleasantly surprised that most of the locals speak English and Russian well. This makes communication much easier. It must be said that the development of tourism has significantly improved the well-being of the population.

Economy, transport

Perhaps the most significant drawback of this resort is the lack of international airport... But it’s not so bad. Arriving in Vietnam, you will be taken to Ho Chi Minh City, from which it is very easy to get to Phan Thiet. It offers trains, buses, taxis (the cost of the latter, by the way, is quite affordable). Tourists prefer to get around the city by taxi or a rented car, which will cost eight dollars a day. A similar service is provided by all hotels in the city.

Hotels in Vietnam (Phan Thiet in this sense is no exception) are modern buildings with an original design, well equipped technically. A variety of hotels are presented to the attention of tourists - it can be modest 3 * rooms or excellent 4 * and 5 * apartments. They all have a set of essential services.

If you are going to go to Vietnam, tours (Phan Thiet is sure to be included in the list of the most popular ones) should be negotiated with the tour operator in advance. What kind of number do you want? If you are planning a vacation with children, make sure that they have their own room. In addition, it is necessary to discuss other services provided by the hotel - Internet, cable TV, air conditioning and others.

Another important issue is nutrition. In Vietnam, it is one or two times a day. All hotels in Vietnam offer a buffet. Phan Thiet amazes many tourists with a varied menu. It is almost impossible to try all the offered treats for breakfast or dinner. It offers a variety of seafood and meat dishes. Various vegetables and fruits are presented in abundance. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted with a large selection of ice cream and drinks. The hotels are dominated by European cuisine, and those who like to taste something exotic should go to the nearest cafe or restaurant.

Vietnam, Phan Thiet: Shopping

Those who are used to European shopping will probably be surprised to find themselves in a Vietnamese shop. There are no well-known world brands here, but there is a lot of exoticism, for which many people come here. Go to the oldest market in Phan Tien - Central. But be careful - it is very easy to get lost here. In small shops, pavilions, tents, you can buy shoes and clothes, jewelry with mother-of-pearl, silver. Near hotels, there are usually small shops and shops with gifts and souvenirs. Not sure what to bring your family and friends? Check out Vietnamese braided hats and natural silk.

Mui Ne is beautiful beach vacation in a fishing village amidst a riot of greenery. Endless beaches, the cleanest sea, kitesurfing ... True, Russian cafes sober up the idyll, but let's not talk about that. The route from Mui Ne to Phan Thiet and back was definitely experienced by every tourist who had a rest in these parts. Well, I am no exception.

By bus

There are 2 buses from Phan Thiet to Mui Ne, # 1 and # 9. It was route 1 that I came across every time when I went to Phan Thiet, so I know for sure its route from edge to edge. Travel time will take about 40-60 minutes, depending on where to sit and where to get off.

As such, there is no bus station in Mui Ne, so the bus from Phan Thiet reaches the Peace resort, turns around and goes in the opposite direction. Peace resort is located on the outskirts, but is still considered part of resort area Mui Ne:

Then the bus goes along the coast, you can take it near the hotels Full Moon Village, Mui Ne Village Resort, MaDam Cuc. Here, there is generally no concept of a stop, where you stop the bus, you sit there, but disembarkation is more complicated. There is a conductor in the cabin, it is to him that you need to pester with stops and, the more often, the more reliable. The drivers and conductors do not know English, and even more so Russian. It would be appropriate to write the name of the place or hotel on a piece of paper and show it to the conductor.

Back to the route. Then a bus passing by Hon Rom, Sandunes Beach Resort follow Đường Xuân Thủy, turn onto Đường Nguyễn Hữu Thọ and exit at Huỳnh Thúc Kháng. And then again along the sea through the village of Ham Tien, through numerous hotels and a golf club, the bus enters Phan Thiet. In the city, the most popular stop near the shopping center Co.opmart:

Almost everyone gets off here, but the route does not end there, then the bus follows to railway station Phan Thiet Railway Station:

Final stop - bus station:

Buses run every 20-30 minutes, sometimes less often, from 5:30 to 20:30.

The fare is paid to the conductor in the bus.

The most convenient and, one might say, the only way to get from Mui Ne to Phan Thiet is by bus. From my own experience I can say: I have never met a packed bus. There are no other ways to get there, except by sea, but this is already negotiate with the owners of boats and boats.
