Yeisk city, krasnodar krai - travel map. Russia, the city of Yeysk (Krasnodar Territory). Russia, Krasnodar Territory: Yeysk

250 kilometers north of Krasnodar, at the base of the Yeisk spit, there is a glorious resort town, with a population of just under one hundred thousand people. The fifth city in terms of population in its region, Yeysk opens its doors to tourists from literally all points of our vast country. Low prices housing, in contrast to the resorts of Sochi, make it more attractive tourist center Southern regions Russian Federation.

The official name of the city is Yeisk urban settlement. Despite its short existence (the city was founded in 1848), the history of the city is extremely colorful and interesting. But before you start talking about the history of this wonderful resort town, you need to answer the question that interests most people “ where is Yeysk».

Studying features geographic location cities, first of all, it should be noted that the city is the most northern in the Krasnodar Territory, therefore the expression appeared that the Kuban begins from Yeisk. Also noteworthy is the fact that the city is located 172 kilometers from Rostov-on-Don and 247 kilometers from Krasnodar. The city is located at the northern end of the peninsula, which is located at the base of the Yeisk spit. The city is washed from the western side by the Taganrog Bay of the Azov Sea, from the eastern side by the Yeisk estuary - the largest estuary in the North Caucasus (territory of more than 244 square kilometers). Another interesting feature of the city is that the distance from Moscow to Yeisk is exactly 1000 kilometers, and the distance from Tokyo is 8000 kilometers. Such a round number of distances to the two largest world capitals is inherent only in this southern resort town.

The climate of the city is as similar as possible to the climate American city New York. The differences are in weather conditions of these two cities lies in lower rainfall in Yeisk and sharper temperature changes in New York. The average temperature in December is -1.1 degrees Celsius, and the frost is in January, when the air cools down to an average of -4 degrees. However, severe Russian winters are known, when the temperature in Yeisk dropped to -31 degrees, which was actually something incredible. The average thermometer value in Yeisk in summer rarely rises above 30 degrees Celsius. Thus, we can say that it is warm where Yeisk is located.

Yeisk history

The history of the glorious city of Yeisk dates back to the end of the 18th century, when the Crimean Khan Shagin-Girey decided to create the so-called Khan's town. It was supposed to act as a reserve capital and residence of Shagin-Girey. Even then, the small town became famous throughout the Russian Empire. At these walls, in the presence of the troops of the great commander Alexander Suvorov, a manifesto was read about the annexation of Crimea, the western Kuban and Taman to Russia.

With the development of navigation and shipping in the Russian Federation, the construction of new seaports was required. One of the potential places most suitable for the construction of a new seaport is the peak of the Yeisk Peninsula. In 1847, the ataman of the Black Sea Cossack army, Grigory Rashpil, proposed to build a city at the base of the Yeisk Spit. The proposal was supported by the Caucasian governor - His Serene Highness Prince Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov. By the joint efforts of two significant political figures, by a decree of the Emperor of the Russian Empire Nicholas I, dated March 6, 1848, a decision was made "On the construction of the city of Yeisk within the Black Sea army."

The border position promised Yeisk good economic development. The presence of the seaport promised broad development prospects, both for the city and for the entire region of the Yeisk Peninsula as a whole. Unfortunately, no one canceled the truth about the two sides of the same medal, and Yeisk, due to its sea location, became the first city to come under attack if a naval aggression begins in the North Caucasus. And so it happened with the beginning of the Crimean War of 1853-1856, when the British squadron began shelling the city. It is believed that every tenth house in the city was damaged.

After the end of the war, the development of the city resumed, new schools and gymnasiums began to open. Already in 1875, regular electric lighting was installed in Yeisk. By the beginning of the 20th century, the city turns into a cultural and shopping center South Russia. It is not surprising that at the beginning of the great October revolution, a fierce struggle was fought for this southern town. A powerful wave of revolutionary sentiment swept from north to south and could not help but bypass Yeisk in its expansion. All the Cossack villages on the Yeisk Peninsula took the side of the Whites. The city itself took the side of the Reds and a long struggle for power began. In total, power in the city passed from hand to hand 6 times. On July 21, 1918, the whites managed to seize power in the city, but already in 1920 the Bolsheviks recaptured Yeisk and the confrontation for power ceased.

Yeisk is a hero city!

After the Bolsheviks came to power in the city, the construction of large factories began, among which the Molot plant and the Selkhozpechat plant were especially significant. In the thirties of the twentieth century, a military flight school appeared in the city, in which more than 300 heroes of the Second World War were brought up. Thus, hero pilots appeared in the USSR where Yeisk is today.

During the Second World War, Yeisk was subjected to fierce German airstrikes. So, in 1942 on April 22, instead of bombs, German aircraft carriers scattered a leaflet around the city, in which they wrote: “Don't make pies, don't knead dough. You will not find a place on the 23rd. " It is not surprising, but on April 23, the strongest German bombing in the history of the city began, which claimed the lives of several dozen people. Hundreds of buildings were damaged.

Today Yeisk is a famous resort town in Russia, its population is constantly growing (as of 2013, the population was 86 310 people). The influx of tourists to this city is also constantly increasing.

Yeysk is a cozy resort town, which ranks fifth among the largest recreation areas on Russian coast The Azov Sea. For many years, lovers of warm sunbathing, a healing climate and active recreation have been flocking here every year. The population of the city, like the ebb and flow, fluctuates according to the season. Coming to summer time make up the majority population of Yeysk, in 2014 and since its foundation, the city has become accustomed to welcoming guests from all over the country and neighboring countries. According to the latest census, the number of permanent residents of the city is more than 90 thousand people, and soon this mark will exceed 100 thousand.

Compared to others major cities Kuban, Yeisk has a number of distinctive features... Firstly, it did not grow out of the village, but was originally erected according to a clearly formed plan, as a port city, involving the attraction of the population for commercial purposes. Secondly, from the first days it was allowed to settle here for all comers without the obligatory entry into the Cossacks. Moreover, the newly arrived residents were offered special benefits that contributed to the active development of the commercial direction, both of the city itself and the port. So, they were granted a 15-year tax exemption, and merchants were granted additional exemption from the payment of guild duties.

After receiving the official status of the city, the population of the young Yeisk grew incredibly quickly. The population census of 1850 showed that 2,366 new residents joined the city, in 1861 the number of inhabitants was 22,447, and in 1912 there were already 45,578 people. Everyone was attracted by the opportunity to settle in a sprawling city, the obvious prospects of which were visible to the naked eye. Initially, it was settled by migrants from Little Russia and Great Russia, Stavropol peasants and merchants, settlers from Mariupol and Berdyansk.

In those days, the population census was carried out on religious grounds. V late XIX century the population of Yeisk was (in decreasing order): Orthodox, Roman Catholics, schismatics, Evangelical Lutherans, Jews and Mohammedans.

The city was settled by Greeks who arrived from the cities of the Azov Sea and Crimea. The old name of one of the city streets is Grecheskaya, later it was changed to Kalinin.

The First World War also left its mark on the history of the formation of the city's population. So, in those years, Polish refugees were evacuated here, and a camp with Austrian prisoners of war was also set up.

Today, more than 90% of the city's inhabitants are represented by Russians - the descendants of the indigenous inhabitants of Yeisk and settlers from the nearby regions.

Year after year throughout the history of the city the number of Yeisk residents is growing steadily. Big influence has not only progressive urbanization and commercial relations, but also unique climatic conditions this edge. But unlike most resort cities in Russia, the activity of which is determined by the arrival of the warm season, life in Yeisk does not stop with the onset of cold weather. Thanks to the warm climate, there are no prolonged snow storms and frosts, and the rich infrastructure allows local residents and guests of the city to feel as comfortable as possible. Factories, workshops are constantly operating here, educational institutions and a large number of entertainment establishments. Therefore, due to the favorable healing climate and good socio-economic conditions, a significant increase in the population is ensured.

Even today, the population of Yeisk and surrounding areas is growing exponentially. Local residents are cordial and hospitable towards vacationers and those who have decided to connect their lives with a wonderful warm city. Yeysk is a unique resort town of the Russian Federation, which is ready to receive guests at any time of the year.

On the Azov coast, at the base of the Yeisk spit, at the northeastern end of the Yeisk peninsula, there is a beautiful resort town of Yeisk, beloved by its residents and guests of the city.

Yeisk has the status of the fifth city in terms of population, among cities Krasnodar Territory... From the very first day of its foundation, it is considered a seaport and the administrative center of the Yeisk region.

The population of the town does not even reach hundreds of thousands of people. According to statistics of 2011, 87, 3 thousand people live in Yeisk. But this makes the town seem even cozier and more cohesive - like one big family.

The very name of the city comes from the name of the Yeya river, which flows into the Yeisk estuary. The inhabitants of the city are called herchan.

The city is located on the coast. From the west, it is washed by the Taganrog Bay, from the east - by the Yeisk estuary of the Azov Sea. A very mesmerizing view opens onto the island, located three kilometers from the Yeisk spit. In its natural form, it resembles a ring, and inside it is a beautiful blue Lagoon, as if from the pages of a fairy tale about distant seas and oceans. This island is called the Yeisk spit.

“Kuban begins from Yeisk” - this is the slogan the city received because of its location - in the very north of the Krasnodar Territory.

The distance from Yeisk to the capital of Russia is exactly 1000 km. The city of Yeysk is the same time as in the capital.

Mild winters and hot summers are the main differences between the Yeisk climate. New Year The people of Sheikh meet without the main attribute of the holiday - snow. Snow-white precipitation occurs most often in late December - early January. Average winter temperatures in Yeisk range from -4 ° C to -10 ° C.

Spring is the time of renewal. Yeisk is no exception. Already in May, the water in the sea warms up to a temperature of +17.5 ° C. It is already possible to open the swimming season, which is what happens at this time. As for summer, it is usually very sunny and warm in Yeisk. Short thunderstorm showers are rare for the Yeisk summer. In June, sea water warms up to +22.2 ° C, with each subsequent summer month- warms up another 2-3 degrees. The Velvet season, starting in September, is marked by stably warm sea water temperatures, which drop by only 3-5 degrees.

But unfortunately, with the arrival of autumn, windy weather bursts into Yeisk. By October, parks, squares and all green spaces acquire a rich golden color with reddish and red tints of colors.

Like all city formations, Yeisk is divided into several districts. The most attractive for tourists is undoubtedly the Yeisk Spit. Most of the infrastructure of the hotel sector is concentrated here.

Yeisk airport is located in the west of the city and here is also one of the most densely populated areas of the city - Military town. The most popular and favorite place to visit by residents of this microdistrict is the main attraction of the city - Ivan Poddubny Park.

The youngest districts of Yeisk can be called the "Field of Tears" and "Solnechny" microdistricts. New residential complexes, including also the 2nd and 38th microdistricts.

Yeisk in general can be considered the greenest city of the Kuban, because of its dense abundant flora. It is represented by parks and squares, alleys and gardens. Many parks have attractions, playgrounds and entertainment facilities.

Many Russians love to come to rest in Yeisk - a wonderful resort town at the beginning of the Dolgaya Spit, separating the Taganrog Bay and the Yeisk Estuary. The region is real nature reserve with picturesque nature and clean, gentle beaches. Perfect place for teaching swimming. Here you can be calm for yourself and your child.

Do you want to improve your health? Local health resorts have excellent treatment programs, balneological complexes and mud baths.

Prices on private sector and Yeisk boarding houses in 2019 are quite democratic, although higher than in many satellite villages. Location and how to get there

The city is located in the northwestern part of the Krasnodar Territory on the Yeisk spit, which is washed on one side Sea of Azov(Taganrog Bay), and on the other - by the Yeisk estuary. The local estuary is the largest in the North Caucasus. Kos, together with the nearby island of the same name, resembles an atoll, which adds a kind of exoticism to the city.

You can get to the resort area in different ways. There is a direct railway connection, but there is only one train to the city - from Moscow. Therefore, it is easier to buy a ticket to the Starominskaya station and from there move to Yeisk by train or shuttle bus... There is no air connection with the city. We'll have to fly to Rostov-on-Don or Krasnodar, and from there go by suburban by land transport... You can get to Yeisk by car along the federal highway M4-Don.

Story

Yeisk was founded in 1864 by decree of Nicholas I. It became one of the main trade ports in Azov, contributing to the development of the region. The city today continues to be not only a resort area, but one of the most significant municipalities of the Kuban. In particular, it is here that one of the largest aviation units of the Russian Air Force is located. The population of Yeisk is about 90,000 people, and in holiday season the number of tourists increases it by about three times.

Almost the entire western side of the city is set aside for sea port and an airfield, so it is closed to the public. The entire infrastructure for organizing recreation in Yeisk is concentrated on the spit and on the side of the estuary. The city has seven districts that are actively being built up. The main increase is due to the development coastline Yeisk estuary. The resort area has recently included the village of Shirochanka, which is also experiencing an active development of the hotel direction.

Things to do

In addition to the beach and recreational activities, rest in Yeisk can be diversified by windsurfing and sailing... Thanks to the constant winds of the Taganrog Bay, these sports have developed significantly in the region. The city even hosts a cruising yacht festival, which has no analogues in Russia. Even if you are not a professional, you can not only enjoy watching others skate, but you can also try your hand. There are many surf centers on the city's beaches.

For those who like a more relaxing holiday, you can suggest wandering around the historical sites of the Merchant City or visiting the local museum, which is considered one of the oldest in the Kuban. It will also be interesting to visit various salt lakes, which are abundant in the vicinity of the city.

Climate

Yeisk is located in the temperate continental zone, which is characterized by hot summers and rather mild winters. Bathing season opens in mid-May, when the water warms up to 18 degrees, and lasts until the end of September. The average air temperature in the hottest months is at the level of 26-27 degrees, and the water temperature is about 22. Due to the low level of humidity, even during the peak of the heat, the air will be quite fresh. The western part of the spit is more windy, and calm is mainly observed on the side of the estuary. So the rest in Yeisk will be accompanied by quite comfortable weather conditions.

Beaches

All beaches in Yeisk are sandy shell-like. The bottom topography is mostly flat and the sea is shallow. The exception is Youth Beach, located at the very tip of the spit. Due to underwater currents from the estuary, the bottom is washed out, and the depth in this place considered the largest in comparison with other beaches in the city. The beaches are quite busy during the season. Especially City and Children's, located on the spit. Kamenka Beach, located to the south along the coast of the Taganrog Bay, smoothly passes from sandy to pebble. There are many shoals to be found at low tide. There are also a number of beaches near residential areas, but they are much smaller than those on the spit and near the port.

Treatment

Rest in Yeysk can be combined with getting wellness treatments. Lake Khan is located 40 km from the city center, where the largest sources of hydrogen sulfide and iodine-bromine mineral waters and therapeutic muds in the region are concentrated. There is also a specialized sanatorium "Yeisk" in the city, where treatment is carried out using all these microelements. Local dirt and mineral water promote the removal of radionuclides and salts of heavy metals, have an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, and also contribute to the stabilization of motor functions.

Latest reviews about holidays in Yeysk

We rested in 2018 with my husband and daughter. To say "I liked it" is to say nothing! I am delighted - everything is clean, pleasant owners, pelengas was fried on the grill - just a miracle! Baby all day in the air! I didn't want to leave. My dream is to get to them in 2019!

Good afternoon, today I want to write a review about my vacation in Yeisk. I will say right away that we visit Yeisk every year and stop only at the "Dawn Point". What attracts me and my whole family there? I can list:
First of all, Yeysk is being renovated and is becoming a resort with a developed entertainment infrastructure. Cozy city... When we enter it, we immediately capture the feeling of the south, kindness and a positive attitude towards the upcoming vacation. The city is buried in roses and other flowers. I always bring a lot of photographs with me, I want to capture all this beauty as a keepsake.
From Moscow we drive 17 hours to Yeisk by car, so the children do not have time to get very tired and worn out, you must admit that this is not an unimportant factor. And we always go back loaded with different goodies.
Why "Dawn Point" - because this place is charged with positive energy and coziness created by the hotel owners. Every year we celebrate improvements for the benefit of the holidaymakers, the hotel develops and becomes even better. For several years that we visit the "Dawn Point" we managed to live both in the rooms with a sea view and in the rooms "economy". I must say right away that I felt comfortable both there and there. Each room has air conditioning, refrigerator and TV. The furniture is new. The hotel is very clean. Each room has its own toilet and shower - this is very convenient. Two kitchens with kitchen utensils, no need to drag anything with you. But the most pleasant and comfortable thing is in the yard. A large recreation area, completely entwined with grapes and covering the rest from the sun. The presence of a barbecue, sofa, tables and music allows you to spend your time comfortably. It's funny when you sit, in the afternoon or in the evening, with a glass of wine, you relax, and grapes hang from above in bunches, roses are fragrant. In the courtyard there is a huge pool, in which not only children, but also adults love to splash. Just a delight! There is also a playground. Very comfortably. You know, when you work out for a whole year, then there are times when you don't want to go anywhere, but you just want to sit down and look down, free your minds from thoughts. Here it is possible. You are relaxing in the yard, right there the children are splashing in the pool and everyone is happy. Estuary in a 5-minute walk. Yes, it’s not as well equipped as on the central beach, but the joke is different, it’s shallow, for people with children it’s generally great, you sit on the beach and just watch the children, there are not many people, and they tumble there like in a pool. And the estuary is very hot, sometimes the water is even hot in the evening. Everything in the estuary healing properties waters are present as well as in the sea. And yet, for those who do not know, it is at the bottom of the estuary that there is mud, for the sake of which many come here. It treats diseases of the skin and joints. People are smeared and paraded along the beach, waiting for the healing effect. The dirt is quickly washed off and does not leave marks on the swimsuit. By the way, I saw the program "Revizorro" with Nastasya Samburskaya about Sochi, they compared Yeisk mud and mud with Dead sea... It turned out that they were no different in composition. This is true, by the way.
The location of the "Dawn Point" is in such a place from which you can quickly get to all the necessary places in the city. In a 5-minute walk there is a huge "Magnet" hypermarket and a pharmacy, which allows you not to lug heavy bags of food from afar or buy the necessary medicines. A little further is the city center.
Everyone wants to settle closer to the central beach, but believe me, there is nothing good there. Let me tell you my impression: there are more people there than fur seals in the rookeries. Children there are constantly lost, because they took a step to the side and no longer understand where you belong, there are half-naked people around. Dirty. Horror! There is no such thing on the estuary.
From "Point of Dawn" there is a bus directly to the beach on the spit, this is a different beach, more comfortable. Minibuses run from the center to all parts of the city. The fare is 17 rubles. Taxi 70 rub. around the city, so our family of 4, rode a taxi, we get the same money.
Poddubny Park, embankment, boat trips at sunset, dancing in cafes is evening entertainment. We also had a lot of fun in the courtyard of the hotel. Having met our neighbors, we very often arranged gatherings until nightfall. They drank wine, grilled shashlik, fish and chatted, chatted, chatted. Very unforgettable moments!
I would like to say that half of the impressions of the rest are the hospitable owners of the Dawn Point Hotel. Valery and Oksana are always ready to answer questions, advise how best to do, where to go, how to make it cheaper, and will try to resolve all the problems that have arisen. It is very convenient if you come by train or plane, the hosts can meet you and vice versa will take you to Starominskaya or to the airport in Rostov-on-Don.
I wrote a lot and in detail. I was preparing for a long time, but now I had a free day and finally I did it. Therefore, I recommend to everyone the hotel "Dawn Point" in Yeisk. Personally, we will go again this summer.

In general, Merchant Yeisk has retained the appearance of a southern provincial port town.

In the west, the settlement is bounded by the airport. One of the most populated micro-districts of Yeysk - Voenny Gorodok adjoins its territory.
