A museum named after these two heroes of fairy tales. "Where is the character registered?" Museums of literary characters in Russia. Tour. "Basket with lost things"

What do Dr. Faust, Baron Munchausen, Mr. Sherlock Holmes, Uncle Tom, Popeye the sailor and the little prince have in common? The fact is that all these characters have their own museums. It is a great honor for a fictional creature and for its creator. Because the museum of the character is the highest proof of its authenticity and a sign of unconditional nationwide worship of the author.

The world museum practice numbers several dozen museums of literary, folklore and film characters. Idolaters and curious people from all over the world flock to some museums, while others still bear the burden of "municipal" fame.

Every year the number of these unusual museums is replenished with Russian apartments, houses, estates and even entire villages dedicated to the lives and adventures of the heroes, in the existence of which we unconditionally believe in the whole country.

The first museum of a fictional character in our country was opened in October 1972, 45 years ago in the village of Vyra near Leningrad. For reasons of literary political correctness, the proud right of the first swallow was given to the character born under Pushkin's quill pen with nutty ink - Samson Vyrin.

The place was not chosen by chance - having waved 70 versts, the messengers stopped for the night or changed horses at the third station of the Belorussky tract - Vyre. According to archival documents and descriptions from the story "The Station Keeper", the house has carefully recreated the atmosphere of the road station of the era of Nicholas I. In every object, in every thing there is a soul of a fictional hero - here is an unfinished sundress, here - a laced book, a table set for tea - it seems an elderly father and daughter left and are about to return to continue to unwind and unravel their eternal sad story.

No. 2. Museum of Literary Heroes "Belkin's Tales"

The village of Lvovka, located in the Bolsheboldinsky district Nizhny Novgorod region, since the 17th century it was the patrimony of the Pushkins and was named after the poet's grandfather - Lev Alexandrovich. In 2005, in the manor house behind the Luchinnik grove, a museum of the heroes of Belkin's Tales was opened.

Ivan Petrovich Belkin's room

One of the rooms of the mansion is dedicated to Ivan Petrovich Belkin - the fictional author of stories - his portrait hangs here, there is a bent chair, reclining on which the narrator snored in his sleep - try not to believe in the reality of this character! The rest of the rooms are ideal decorations for the five stories of the cycle. In Liza Muromskaya's room, a peasant dress hangs casually on a chair; further we find the collected chest of Marya Gavrilovna; then we go into the room where Silvio left on the table an inch from his forehead a shot-through red cap ...

The house itself, with its charming old provinciality and all its landscape surroundings, are perceived as genuine illustrations for the Belkin cycle. Everything here is genuine, honest, real.

No. 3. Museum of the poem "Anna Snegina"

Kashina's estate. Photo: ny.rzn.info

In 1995, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Yesenin's birth, the Anna Snegina Museum was opened in Konstantinov. The last Konstantinovskaya landowner Lydia Kashina, who had been friends with the poet for many years, became the prototype of the main character - a young noblewoman, the youthful love of the protagonist Sergushi. It is in the Kashina estate that the museum's exposition is located.

Thanks to the many photographs and genuine gizmos that once belonged to Kashina-Snegina, and dozens of letters written by her legendary fellow villager, reality here is so intertwined with artistic fiction that it is no longer possible to separate real story from a beautiful composition.

“Two Captains” is a work of a difficult fate. The book, which embodied the dream of all post-war boys, served as the basis for one of the best adventure Soviet films, in our memory is inextricably linked with the terrible tragedy of the end of the twentieth century - the musical Nord-Ost. Therefore, the Museum "Two Captains" is also a place of memory.

In 1995, the Bender Museum was opened in St. Petersburg. Following the inimitable style of the protagonist, the museum was closed several times. However, it always received a new birth, the last of which happened quite recently - in the summer of 2016.

The exposition of the museum presents authentic things, copies of those that appear in the novel - the famous tea strainer, Kisa Vorobyaninov's pince-nez, a table from the Horns and Hooves office and, of course, a weight that you can even try to saw. To the perplexed question “Why, suddenly, St. Petersburg?”, The creators of the museum answer as follows: according to one of the versions, Osip Shor was the prototype of Bender - a bright, adventurous gentleman who lived here when he was a student. Subsequently, Osip Shor was seen as an imaginary promising groom, a great chess player and a great artist ... Recognizable character, in a word.

Meanwhile, most of the fairy-tale characters have dismantled other cities, and only Kolobok remained in Ulyanovsk. Fortunately, the foundations here are more or less strong: local historian Sergei Petrov found the Simbirsk roots of the character in connection with the oscillation, the Simbirsk kolobok. According to Dahl's dictionary, in the Ulyanovsk province, bread made from the remnants of dough was called oscillation. This is the bun, for which the flour was scraped along the bottom of the barrel.

June 2, 2012 in the village of Novaya Bedenga, the official opening of the Kolobok estate took place. The log house and the courtyard of the fairytale hero were cut down according to all the canons of carpentry craft of the 19th century. A stove was laid out in the hut - so that it was always warm and smelled of pies. Kolobok's backyards are located in a picturesque area. Nearby, on a pedestal, there is a sculpture of the owner of the house, next to it there are wooden images of all the heroes of the fairy tale - the Hare, the Bear, the Wolf and the Fox.

The estate will include a number of facilities: Kolobok's House, Kolobkodrom, a playground, and the Simbirskiye Kolobok production line. "Kolobok's House" will be an interactive donut cafe (with children's and adult halls) with a souvenir shop and a "live" Kolobok, which, of course, will be an animator.

Baron Munchausen Museum, Latvia

Do you know, dear friend, that the most truthful storyteller of the world - Baron Munchausen - is not a fictional character, but a real person. He lived in the 18th century and even visited Ukraine.

The Baron Munchausen Museum is located in the Latvian estate Dunte. The owners of the estate assure that it was here that the best years of the life of the baron and his wife passed. Here he pulled himself out of the swamp, planted a cherry tree between the antlers of a deer and flew to the moon astride a cannonball. It was here that I found my soul mate - the daughter of the owner of the estate.

A five-kilometer path leads from Munchausen's house to the sea with bizarre wooden monuments: a hare with eight legs, flying fish, etc. The Baron's museum has created an atmosphere of his time. The house is filled with hunting trophies, and at the entrance guests are greeted by the owner of the house, however, in the form wax figure... But who knows, maybe she comes to life at night?

Eyes run up from miracles. Harry Potter fans can spend hours wandering among the mysterious scenery of the film: strolling Diagon Alley with a bunch of shops, sitting at dining tables Of the Great Hall, see Mr. Weasley's flying car, and see the portraits on the walls come to life in the frame.

The highlight of the museum is the castle of the Hogwarts school, or rather its model, 2.5 m high. Torches are burning on the towers of the castle, and special lighting changes every 4 minutes from night to day.

After walking through the halls of the film studio, you can have a snack at the "Sweet Kingdom" and buy a broomstick, magic wand or mantle as a souvenir.

Mary Poppins Museum, Australia

If you love the work of Pamela Travers, visit the Australian city of Mariborough. It was there, in the writer's homeland, that a house-museum dedicated to her work was opened. In front of the house you can see a monument to the author of the famous story about Mary Poppins. And nearby the estate is a coastal park, very similar to the one described in the books about the fairy nanny.
