When is the best time to buy air tickets for the summer? Flight schedule When is it more profitable to buy air tickets for the summer

Aeroflot Group is switching to the winter schedule. Instead of Gelendzhik and Heraklion, planes will fly to London and Bangkok, new foreign flights from the regions will appear, and the number of Pobeda low-cost airline destinations will grow compared to last year. Seasonal changes got accustomed to "Ogonyok"

Anton Moroshkin

All airlines - members of the International Association air transport the year is divided into two seasons. In autumn, the beaches of Mediterranean and Black Sea resorts are empty, but vacationers rush closer to the equator or, conversely, to ski slopes Europe. And along with tourist flows, the routes of world air carriers are changing.

The winter season lasts from the last Sunday in October to the end of March, then the summer season begins. This year the aviation "winter" comes on October 30, and with it the usual winter changes. Aeroflot traditionally stops flights to Gelendzhik, Heraklion and Croatian Split. But Montenegrin Tivat remains on the schedule. After all, Montenegro is famous not only for its beaches; in winter, ski slopes in Zabljak and Kolasin await guests.

It seems that Sochi has finally established itself in the role of a year-round resort. At least, judging by the Aeroflot flights. Last winter, the number of aircraft on the Moscow-Adler route increased from 35 to 42 per week. In the summer, there were already 49 of them. And it was decided not to reduce the number of aircraft flying to the resort city for the winter.

Apparently, Russians are increasingly betting on domestic tourism... This is also indicated by the continuous growth of communication between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Last October, Aeroflot scheduled five additional flights a week, raising the total to 112. In the summer, it added seven more flights between the two capitals. And with the transition to the new winter schedule, it was decided to add 21 aircraft per week at once. Apparently, winter also does not stop passengers flying from Moscow to Yekaterinburg and Tyumen. It was decided not to cancel the additional flights introduced in the summer in the fall.

More and more cities appear in the schedule grid. For example, Saratov. A year ago, the Saratov-Tsentralny airport just received admission to receive Superjets. The issue of launching regular Aeroflot flights was then actively discussed. The Moscow - Saratov flight is already on this summer and winter schedule. In the coming season, Aeroflot will open daily flights between Sochi and Simferopol. Flights will begin on January 21, 2017.

Aeroflot is not planning new foreign routes from Moscow this winter, but it is increasing the number of aircraft on existing routes. For example, this summer we launched flights to Valencia, Alicante and Lyon. All of them have been preserved in the winter schedule, and it was decided to make the connection with Lyon more intensive, bringing the number of flights to seven per week.

Flights to Istanbul, after deteriorating relations with Turkey, have been cut, but this winter they are returning at the same volume - 21 per week. The resorts of Southeast Asia are invariably popular in winter. For the second winter in a row, Aeroflot has increased the number of flights to Hanoi. Last year - from four to five a week, this year - up to seven. The number of planes flying to Bangkok is doubling, from 7 to 14 per week. As usual, there will be more flights to Miami in the winter season.

But the absolute record holder of the new schedule is the Moscow - London route. It was decided to add 14 additional flights to the already existing 18 flights per week. Half of them will fly from Sheremetyevo to Heathrow. And the other half goes to Gatwick. Aeroflot is mastering the second airport in the British capital for the first time. Comfortable daytime flights will be operated by aircraft of the A320 family.

Subsidiary airline "Russia" for the winter traditionally stops flying from St. Petersburg to Antalya and Burgas, but includes Geneva in the schedule. Petersburgers this winter will generally become closer to Europe. From Northern capital daily flights to Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Vienna are planned.

Flights from regions abroad seem to be a new trend for the entire Aeroflot Group. On June 17, the national carrier itself launched the first foreign flight from the regional airport: Kazan - Frankfurt. Airbus 320 flies from the capital of Tatarstan to one of the main European air hubs on Mondays and Fridays. It was decided to extend flights for the winter season as well.

In general, if we compare the current winter schedule with last year's, it was Pobeda that showed the greatest progress in the entire Aeroflot Group.

Keeping pace with the "Victory" trend. The domestic low-cost airline launches two international flights at once from Rostov-on-Don: to Baku and Tbilisi. And from Samara in this winter season flights to Almaty are opened. Aeroflot began to strengthen air traffic with Kazakhstan in the summer, launching six new flights at once from Moscow: to Aktau, Aktobe, Almaty, Astana, Atyrau and Shymkent. Now the low-cost airline has also joined this process of rapprochement between the two countries.

If we compare the current winter schedule with last year's, it is Pobeda that has shown great progress in the Aeroflot Group. A year ago, she had a little more than 30 directions in the route grid. In the current winter schedule, the airline has planned to increase this figure by a quarter.

In addition to Moscow's Vnukovo, the Russian low-cost airline provides regional flights from St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Rostov, Samara and Makhachkala. You can buy Victory tickets to Milan through Bergamo airport, and to Vienna through Bratislava, as well as to Cologne and Memmingen, to Girona, to Larnaca. And from this autumn - also to the three capitals of the former Soviet republics.

The domestic route network of the low-cost carrier has also noticeably grown over the year. From Moscow "Pobeda" now flies to Chelyabinsk and Naberezhnye Chelny, from St. Petersburg - to Kirov, Volgograd, Vladikavkaz and Nalchik, from Yekaterinburg to Krasnoyarsk.

Aeroflot and its subsidiary airlines have new flights throughout the year. But the transition to the winter or, conversely, the summer schedule - the best time sum up and compare the current results with last year. In the winter of 2015-2016, the national carrier flew to 125 destinations, and together with subsidiary airlines Aeroflot had 211 non-recurring routes. In this winter season, there will be 130 own flights, and together with subsidiary companies - 215. Progress is evident.
